You're almost finished?

I had my shop char up overnight last night and when I checked her today I was dead near Town of Arrivals. There were no mobs around and the char is only lvl 1 so no way was it PKed. The message I had on my screen was "You're almost finished" with the 3 options of towning, using a scroll, or resurrecting. Next to me was a dead Barb who I imagine suffered the same fate.

Does anyone know what this means? I tried googling "you're almost finished" plus "Pwi" but got no results. I really don't understand what would have killed her or what that message meant... b:shocked

    Probably just a weird translation of the "You have died" box. Maybe they changed it in the patch? Jewel can be pulled there as well I believe, with an AoE. Try turning on your damage log and seeing what hit you.

    Does Viriddis have an AoE? I don't think Jewel says that... but I could be mistaken.

    The OP wasn't talking about mob speech, he was talking about the small box that comes up which normally says "You have died" - this time it said "You're almost finished"

    I don't believe Viriddis has an AoE either, whereas Jewel does.

    As has been suggested the best thing to do in cases like this is turn on your damage log and see what killed you. Pulling bosses such as Jewel into towns and cities is a bannable offence, and the first step to working out if somebody is doing that is to make sure you know what killed you.

    I'm pretty sure that's what it says when you die at level 1, but I could be wrong.

    I lol'd at people saying Viriddis has no AoE. It actually even has TWO. Works same as Rankar. Long Range AoE with medium damage and close range AoE with massive damage. They are channeled independently.

    Maybe you confused him with Gouf? If not, I have a feeling you were just there not at Viriddis's level and just pwned him without paying much attention to his skills and AoEs and such... cuz believe me being 'weak' around his level, AoEs will be VERY noticeable. The long ranged one will hit relatively hard on cleric... and I got 1 hit from the short range one at that level b:surrender (yay Deaden Nerves though)

    It's been forever since the last time I even saw Viriddis and I can't say I remember how he works at all beyond the fact, ya know, you get him in a quest around the same time you get Jewel, and there's usually always two parties there who both want to kill him, waiting for him to respawn.

    You know, the last time I saw him was probably four or five months ago when I tanked him for some friends on my archer. -shrugs- If he has AoE, then he has AoE, I don't really care. Either way, the OP never saw what killed him, so it could have been any number of potential mobs or bosses.

    Ah it's understandable you even said "I don't believe he has AoE" not that you know for sure... but to say like someone else in here iirc that he doesn't have AoE at all and you're sure about it is a bit too much when he has not one but two lol

    And Idk about your server but not too many camp to kill him on mine XD


    Also one thing I can think of is... I do know below level 10 you don't even lose xp on dying... maybe a different message too then?

    its a lvl 47 (or 48?) boss that has nothing to do with culti, you get it at the same time as jewels who also has nothing to do with culti. He can be skipped easily like Eyes or Kong if you so choose not to do the quests.
    And as stated yes.. he does aoe two versions, I found out the hard way b:surrender the close range hurts even on a lvl 70/80 cleric

    Jewel and Viriddis has pretty strong aoe, enough to kill lower levles and afk poeple w/o charm.

    So both works fine if you wanna lure boss and wipe 50% of Arriving b:chuckle.

    Thats why i would never afk there with a char that has expensive TT-mats in bank. You do tend to drop stuff pretty often from inventory when you get killed by a boss. I always drop pots and arrows and junk if i die at Polearm ;(

    Imagine dropping belial soul or Illusion stone to Jewel and some nub picks it up b:cry.

    I get gouf and viridius mixed all the time...

    but I DO know that viridius has an aoe cuz I had to solo him for my bf once... my charm was ticken over(my pet was tankin) and he almost died in the process cuz he got too close.
    I wont go into stats or anything cuuuuuz... i dont know em ^^;
