I'd like to confirm a few things before l buy the beamhoof slicer. Just tell me whether the following statements are true or false.

1) It's really good.

2) It requires 35,000 rep points.

3) It requires all of the signs.

Thanks in advance! b:thanks

So I don't know what to do yet... no advice so far...
I guess this is a kinda bump.

    A while ago I posted this: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=663952

    Which pretty much said..
What rank do I need to be in order to get the really good rank/rep lvl 90 weapon? Also how many rep points would that be?

And the only few informational replies that applied to the topic were...
There's a quest that requires Rank 6 to get, it'll have you collect 10 of each Badge and then rewards you with a weapon.

    ☆☆Beamhoof Slicer

    AND:

    Ah - was unaware.

In that case the answer would be 35k rep for rank 6, plus whatever it takes to get all those badges b:shocked

    (thanks to FatherTed and Esuna)

Basically I'd like to confirm that all this is true. I'd like to know from multiple reliable resources before I make the decision to put hundreds of real life dollars into it.

So please let me know what you think and/or know. Thanks! xD

Rank 6 weapon is pretty good but the effort it takes to get this weapon is a real pain.

35k rep can be farmed or bought so thats really up to the player to figure out. Farming the fb59 area on double drops gives about 900rep per run in my experience. I farmed about 3k rep in just a couple hours. [free drops to make sure no one touches ur rep]

the signs are the hard part. Its almost a popularity contest because of the COA situation. U just about need a full guild to do coa runs to get those signs.

With that said if u can get it then go for it but before u invest in the rep take a swing at the signs. If u can get the signs, then your set.
    Your doubt is our powerb:thanks

I've just about completed it. Personally, I don't think it's worth it. For the same amount of money and a lot less time, you could buy a lunar insignia - weapon. They have basically the same base damage, refine better, and can be upgraded to Nirvana (though I wouldn't recommend that). I'm just completing it because I already collected most of the badges before deciding it wasn't worth it.

The rep is just a matter of money. The badges to make the signs are a real pain. Some are easy, some are really hard. The CoA ones are the hardest, but I disagree that you need a guild. If you're clever about where you fight, and do some careful planning and calculating to maximize your DPS, you can do better alone. At 93 I can currently manage about 120-130 orbs solo. Since it's currently double drops, that works out to 240-260 orbs, which is 4 or 5 badges if my instance wins.

The best I've managed to do in a good group is 106. The problem with doing it in a group is two-fold. First, not everyone is as competent or motivated as you are. So you tend to get a few slackers who will bring down your average kill rate. Second is downtime waiting for respawn. The respawn time is fixed at about 1-1.5 min. The bigger your group, the faster you kill, and the greater percentage of your time you spend waiting for respawn. (Obviously this does not apply if you can AOE multiple mobs, or jump immediately to another mob to kill. But that's becoming increasingly difficult with how popular and crowded CoA is getting.)

When you do get the badges, be very careful converting them to signs. The quest text on the NPC doos not tell you what each choice does. The text for converting the badges to signs is virtually identical for turning in the badge for spirit, and neither of them specify if you will receive a sign or receive spirit.. Same for the option to turn in a sign for spirit - the text is different, but it does not give you any clue that you are turning in a sign for spirit. That's what I accidentally did, with a strength sign no less. The option said something about going on to collect courage badges, so I thought it was a chain quest to convert my courage badges to a sign. Instead it ate my strength sign and gave me 220k spirit. I've submitted a ticket, so hopefully the GMs will sort it out soon and give me back my sign.
35k rep can be farmed or bought so thats really up to the player to figure out. Farming the fb59 area on double drops gives about 900rep per run in my experience. I farmed about 3k rep in just a couple hours. [free drops to make sure no one touches ur rep]
Are you sure about that? I farmed FB59 a lot when I was around 79. The most I got on a run was 18 stamps, which works out to 144 rep. Average was closer to 10-12, or about 80-96 rep. With double drops, I'd expect it to be a bit below 200 rep per clear.

So if I really wanted this weapon...
How much does one sign cost?

How much does one sign cost?
The prices for the badges I've seen on Heaven's Tear are:

Speed: From the twice-daily race. Easy to get yourself, but if you want to buy I've seen them from 10-20k.

Dexterity: 5% chance from the pack for finishing Cube of Fate. The few times I've seen them for sale, I've picked them up from 20k-50k.

Wisdom: Requires 5 copper dragon orders to manufacture. At a market price of 20k each, that's 100k.

Endurance: Comes from the Dragon Temple event. I've seen them anywhere from 50k to 750k, but have only seen a few dozen for sale in many months. Most people probably just turn them into spirit.

Bravery: About 400-500k when coral and anniv packs are out. Dunno what they cost when the packs are not out.

Strength / Courage: If your instance wins, costs 50 orbs. A warsoul tag costs 3 orbs, and 15 of them (45 orbs worth) will get you an immaculate shard which typically sells for 1-1.5 mil. So if you can get anyone to actually sell you strength/courage badges, you're probably talking about 1.5-2 mil each.

You need 10 badges to make a sign, so adding all this up comes out to 36-54 million.

The rep is even worse. 8 tokens from the coral/anniv packs will give you one wraith officer's badge, for 25 rep. Assume you can get to 5k rep from normal play and need to buy 30k rep, that's 9600 tokens. Tokens range in price from 12k-20k depending on whether or not packs are out. So that's 115-192 mil.

So your total cost will range from 151-246 million. With gold at 320k, that's $472-$769.

A lunar weapon will "only" cost you about 60-65 million. Levels 90-95 go pretty quickly due to the bounty hunter quest at that level mostly being in FB79 (easy to do), so the level 90 requirement on the weapon of the sages is not that huge an advantage compared to the 95 requirement on the lunar weapons. Like I said, I would not recommend doing this. Just buy a lunar weapon if you have money to burn.

The Beamhoof Slicer doesn't even look that good either:
