Im thinking about starting a BM, But im not sure if I want axe or Fists. Im not planning on doing a restat at 80-90+, or double build :P.

Will my lvling speed be affected much if i choose fists over axe's?

Well considering that at level 29 opens up your weapon paths. I would say no. Because at 30 you get crazy stone, and then at 40 you get BH.

Doing CS and BH daily will net you the majority of the exp needed to level.

By the time your 6X and if you went fists classic DD stats 6/4. You might actually be eying those Axe skills....

Regardless of what path you choose. You will eventually start to look at other skills. Does a wizard only level one type of spell element? Do clerics only have heal spells? BM's skills are there to be used. And honestly the more you are able to do; the more fun it is to play a BM.

Go both eventually, you'll like it. I face palm when I'm in FC with 9X or even 10X BM and they are whacking away at the boss with axes.

    THIS
Though my dex is poor.. 151 isnt a good..with 282 strength..
but my Vit cap is 20. So dont say "ADD VIT TO DEX"

    Anyywayyysss...

    Fist/Axe = Awesome imo.

Actually I think I would say. "Str is nice and high for your level. Have you thought about loading up on some dex??"

True dat..Do you think that should be my Strength cap until 90? starting going 5 dex per level?
or maybe an Archer build, 1 strength 4 dex?

Edit: No Reply, guess that sounded like a complete foolish move?

I think the perfect build for a BM is 3 str 2 dex per level but I love fists and this build allows you to have axes aswel for situations where the cleric is in trouble and you need to stun to save or you are just DD'ing in AoE situations. You dont have to go with every weapon path but by far the best is fist and axe

Maintain enough str to equip axes of your level. Split the rest between dex and fists. Fists without interval are pretty average, imo. Vit will do you a lot better at lower levels when you shouldn't really spend anything to shard/refine your gear.

I'd pick axes or pole and stick with that path until you hit 8x. It's really not until late game where fists become horribly important.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

As long as you are happy with your build that's all that really matters. I would probably do something like you said though. Str for axes..which you have...and rest into dexb:victory

As someone already mentioned, you should build the way you feel you will have the most fun playing.

With that being said, I recommend using at least 2 paths, one being axes/hammers. In fact, even if all you ever do is bust out with a Heaven's Flame once in a while, you will be appreciated in squads. But the Axe/Hammer AoE skill set is devastating in the hands of a skilled user. I personally use all 4 weapon paths now, even though Fist path isn't complete, and I only recently started on the Polearms. But in essence, currently I use a sword/blade for higher 1v1 DPS, and switch to hammers for AoE bloodshed.

Lets say I put enough str for axes and the rest in dex for fists. Then I only have standard 5 points in vit, isnt that too low for a bm?

Vit and HP are over-rated. If you have good armor, and get your Mag Def up, you take less damage. If you hit harder and more often, things die before they get to hit you as much.
