I love this 2x drops. Yesterday I was doing quests in sage land. I killed 300+ mobs level 100+ mobs and with reward money from quests + drops I earned almost 900K net. I don't have repair cost just weapon repair.
This 2x drop should stay forever BUT just in normal world not in instances. It would help make grinding again much more interesting and profitable. I'm old generation and I love grinding.b:victory

AoE grind with Bloodpaint is a lot of fun lol. Cheap too, since concentrate orbs take care of all the MP.

I did some grinding for about 3 hours the other day, and made ~1 mil coins. Unfortunately, I've been lacking in coins to get skills, so I stupidly went out and spent 950k on skills. I'm stronger though. >:D

About to go do some more grinding. I <3 2x drops. ^_^

I actually love grinding as well. It makes me feel as though I accomplished something while playing for my 2 hours/night...rather than just doing BHs (which I haven't done in forever.) Of course my repair costs are a bit more.b:chuckle

Let's be realistic, they'd never add 2x drop rates for all normal grinding or instance runs.

As a veno, I know in and out the hardships of grinding, and having a double drop rate would be insane.

If any of you know how an economy works, just giving everyone money solves NOTHING. Prices inflate, the cost of all player sold goods (cash-shop especially) will rise to match the available money supply, and if the game developers were worth their massive pay-checks at all, they would adjust all in game fixed costs to correspond with the increase, in order to scale the money-sink needed by any game economy.

In a more practical solution, the drops of all DQ and mats (coins too) should be increased about 20-30% normally, in order to compensate for the impossible elasticity of the gold market nowadays, to increase gold-purchasing by coin grinders, and to give them a slightly better footing against pure cash-shoppers (who power the PWI economy).

In the war against cash-shoppers, you QQers out there need to realize the damn balance between cash-shoppers and coin grinders. It is those people who grind coins that give the gold it's value; if there was no one grinding in game coin, the price of gold would be nil, (or the only trading medium would be gold alone, killing PWI) and the ingame economy wouldn't function.

Back to the topic of grinding, increasing drops from what they are base by 20-30% would, as stated before, close some of the gap between coin grinders and gold buyers, a much needed balance that would HELP EVERYONE ON EVERY SIDE INCLUDING THOSE WHOSE PAYCHECKS COME FROM PWI. This can also be a positive effect on the double-drop weeks, as 20-30% increase would be compounded, and would also be a natural balancing effect against the massive gold price spikes that happen when new shiny things are on sale in the cash-shop. It would give everyone some room to breathe and achieve things a bit easier, without the despair of not being able to spend cash on the game.

I think grinding would be brought back, having people NOT stuck in instances, thus increasing the outside population (PK anyone? not everyone stuck in FCC ffs), if the exp gain from each mob at the higher levels (90+) was increased 5fold AT LEAST. They're giving us all these options to level up, creating more 100+ to start implementing (Hopefully) more high level instances (Ironic).

Those people that can't CS/Grind coin can at least keep up via grinding, and enjoying the outside world, not the monotony of FCC FCC FCC FCC TT FCC FCC TT TT.

Idk. I think if mob exp was increased, more people would be inclined to be out in the game world, and more people means more fun..

    Actually, you're totally right.

I forgot about the 2 Token of Best Luck = 10 mil and the 5 Gold = 1 mil standards...

Ironically, they're setting a standard for their currency, something China (game creators) are well known for doing.

In other words NO SELF-REGULATING MARKET WE WOULDNT MAKE ENOUGH MONEY DOING IT.

Sorry, I had to flame the developers for PWI. Setting a solid coin-conversion ratio is the stupidest thing they can possibly do.

grinding now makes no sense except during 2x drops.
Players don't grind for XP (well, not anymore), and this is something PWI doens't seem to grasp.
Players grind for drops = coins. Make that an attractive option again and players will go back on Zhen areas to make coins. More coins means more Cash shop items, means more gold switching hands, means more income for PWI. True, price will rise on some items (charms), but I don't think it can be worse than it is now.

Anyway, this is like talking to white walls, all PW care about right now is the launch of BoI.

Agree with that, everyone nowadays always stuck in bh or power leveling in FC and whatever. When you asked people before it was like "yeah i'll come in a sec i'm just gridning XX mob" or wait my eso run out and so. now.. sry im stuck in BH.. sry im doing FC for the next couple of hours etc.

true, I remember those good old times when I was running FBs with Qultor (always grinding at spiders) or Chaoscrusher or God knows who else. Calamity faction teleport was really valuable in those days. Everyone was either in Zhen or questing/Justice. I remember Qultor exiting a FB51 after the second boss (same time as tabber) to turn in a Justice quest then came back for the last one.
Good old days when grinding teached you how to play your char.
Anni packs killed the game giving every n00b with cash endgame power with a CC slide, and the Hyper XP + FC nerf just nailed the coffin.
I ran a FB51 a few days ago, had a 7x barb in it just for fashion cause he could not keep aggro of course, but I had to ask him about 5 times for a HP buff. I quit asking after and ran the whole FB without HP buff. I mean ... really...barb that forgets to HP buff his squad before an instance, and he doesn't do it even when asked nicely?... sheesh, I wonder if he even learned that skill, guess he passed it since it wasn't a damage skill...

You couldn't be more wrong. The more you saturate an economy with money, prices will fall. Ever notice how when things go on sale, there is competition for lower prices?

And to hate on cash shoppers is ridiculous. If it weren't for people putting money into this game, you wouldn't have gold available to buy, which means no mounts, aeros, charms, etc. And in that case, gold would skyrocket due to the demand vs quantity.

I must have missed something on the way to economics grad school. Let me check.... yep, more money chasing the same number of goods leads to inflation. Governments getting out of control printing currency that is not backed with any security...., yep, that leads to hyper-inflation. Where is that part about sales? I'm feeling like I missed something.

And, for those asking for a permanent way to increase non-instance drop rates... wait for it.... How about a new cash shop item? Introducing the hyper-drop stone!

This thread gave me a happy :3

On a more serious note, even though x2 exp/spirit/drop events were rare back when I was lower level, I do support having more of them (or just adjusting the rate as it is). It's quite nice to see money being able to pour back into the economy because people can do things outside of instances and actually see it as a profitable venture.

Kudos to those that have found there is more to gaming than racing to <insert level here>.
