    Hey! I am new to the game so just confused about certain things and wanted to reaffirm.

    I have seen a lot of guides about axe/fist and all that but haven't seen much of them mentioning hammer.

    However, when i compare the stats of axe and hammer from lvl 1-30, it seems that they do not differ in speed or anything at all while hammer's minimum damage and maximum damage is higher than that of axe.

    So why are people only talking about axes? Is there some kinda special effect that axes get?

      Take a look at the weapons again.

      Hammers Minimum damage is higher then axes.

      Hammers Maximum damage is lower then axes.

      As far as levels 1-30 you should use the best weapon you can equip. Skills relating to weapon use do not open up till you are level 29.

      You spend most time in game past lvl 60.
      (you lvl really fast from 1-60 and slower from 60-90 then super slow 90+)
      Once you reach 60, Twilight Temple (a lvl 60+ Instance knowed as TT) offers weapon most of us choose to use .. TT only offers axes (one hammer at 90 I believe..but mostly axes) hence why people talk about axes.

      as was mentioned there are more axes then hammers 60+. some legendary hammers and sparse hammers from other instances but mostly axes.

      basically hammers are lumped into the axes category so that ppl dont have to type axe-hammer/fist

      to find the best damage for different weapons take the average of the min atk and the max atk and multiply by the atk rate (atks/sec) stat. this will give you your damage per second for that weapon (when averaging dont forget to take into acount any bonuses that the weapon gives. If it says +xx max atk then add that to max atk stat before average. If it says + atk then add it to both before averaging (or just add it to the averaged number before multiplying)

      Its amazing that levels that took people 1/2 year to a year to obtain can be achieved in as little as 2 weeks to 2 months.
