Searched it, not enough info on glowing weapons and armors. I would like detailed chart/info on these properties. So far, this is wut i got. I would like more info on trailing effects/hilt glows/sparkles etc. on ALL the glows dat exists in PWI :) thank youu ~~

1.Weapons glow if they are either:

a 3 star weapon (which i assume you have currently, after completing your fb19),
a legendary weapon (this one has a yellow glow and are obtained from molds which are dropped by fb bosses),
a TT weapon (these glow green and can be made from materials you get from the Twilight Temple, starting at lv60)

2. Armor Glow:
2 grade 5 hp stones = purple glow
2 grade 5 phys def stones = orange/reddish glow
2 grade 5 mag def stones = white glow
2 grade 5 mp stones = blue glow
2 grade 5 evasion stones = yellow glow
2 grade 5 elemental stones = green glow
2 grade 5 stones, not the same = sparkles
4 grade 8 hp stones = lightning effect
4 grade 8 mp stones = blue crystal effect
4 grade 8 elemental stones = Strong green glow with sparkles
4 grade 8 phys def stones = Burning fire
4 grade 8 mag def stones = Strong white mist
4 grade 8 evasion stones = Bigger/stronger yellow glow with sparkles.

That seems accurate... if you use Diamond of Tiger/Dragon you get little sparkles on your armor. They don't effect weapons at all. Neither do Stones of Savant. Also... for weapons it becomes complicated with Frost, Lunar, Old Heaven's Tear, as well as TT99:Gold and TT100:Orange. These weapons have unique and independent animations. Often Frost and Lunar involve red glows or lightening effects however Neon Purgatory {Lunar Wand} is an exception. Old Heaven's Tear weaponry glows blue and is made from blue metals as well.

I admit, the glows are pretty and back in my days of newbieness I had absolutely no idea what made things glow.

A list of why things glow and how is pretty cool, but I'd just like to state for any potential younger players reading this... please don't get something just because it glows a pretty colour.

The amount of people I see with a piece of **** 3* weapon is unbelievable, and worse yet is they think it's awesome because it glows. So yeah, I just wanted to throw that one out there.

Back on track, good luck with this list of yours. Can't say I have anything productive to add myself although Euphy came up with a very good point - certain gears come automatically with a glow, such as the red lightning/glow around certain FC weapons. You can still add extra shard effects to these weapons however.

I don't agree with putting two diamonds of tiger [or whichever diamond raises attack level] in a Broadland, but it looks damned pretty.

If you have 2 (maybe you only need 1, can't remember) flawless shards of the same type in a weapon, you get a sparkle effect on the handle.

I remember a really great post detailing all this, but can't seem to find it again :(. Or I'm imagining things. I think between the posts above you've got all the major points though

In order to make any weapon glow in any way, it requires to be sharded twice.

Also, fun fact: you can mix and match certain shards.

For example, let's say you have a 2 socket Cala axes and put an immaculate garnet and immaculate amber in there. You would get one line of sparkles being red, and the other line of sparkles being yellow. Quite pretty. I would assume this works the same for other weapons, but I've only seen this work with high grade shards. [Immaculates or higher]

^^ Flawless or higher, perfects should be fine.

Didn't know that Aryll, good info.

I'm not sure how two flawless+ stones that aren't the same level work either (but it probably would, although it's financially irresponsible to shard your weapon with different grade stones of the same type, in my opinion).

The armor colors are above, and if I see anyone sharding their weapon for colors I'd be happy to spark tempest them.

Then again... could work that way for gear to. Please use appropriate shards, not pretty ones. We have enough problems already http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=676732 b:surrender.

The names are different since it's from a different version, but this site gives screenshot examples of all the different glows and how to achieve them.

Wow... so 4 Immaculate Turquoise shards and I can have Ice shards jutting out of my shoulders??? I might get a newb set and do this lol.

Also true story: At level 30 I was determined to buy 16 Average sapphires for my clerics armor because I loved the idea of glowing silver. Luckily I was too broke and once I had the funds I realized the health or defense was much more useful than surplus resistance.
