bannable?

so i have a character in harshland server i am deciding to make a character in arch server as well. If i use the same account for both character, would i get banned if i use 2 computers and log both of my character on at the same time under the same account?

    One person using multiple computers is not bannable, but it's impossible for two computers to be logged into the same account at the same time.

    From what I've been told is that if the characters are on different servers that you can log into both with the same account. Dunno, never tried.

    Ok.

    Just tried.

    I logged in to HT... then on my laptop i logged into HL.. it did not tell me the account was already logged on.

    Bug or by design? I'd guess by design.

    AFAIK you can't log on the same account twice - the first instance gets booted because you need to force-log into the account.

    If there's a workaround, it's bannable.

    I just use multiple accounts on separate computers.

    Not true.

    I just logged into TWO DIFFERENT servers using the SAME ACCOUNT.

    I did not have to force log and it did not boot the 1st login when I logged in to the 2nd.

    It does however tell me I am already logged in when I log both computers to the same server on the same account.

    I used no work around. My game is "stock" and unmodified.

    I have heard that it was possible to log into different servers with the same account at the same time. If you do it on one computer, then it is bannable. If you do it on two computers, then it is not bannable.

    Not just hearsay. Try it. It works. 2 computers, 2 servers, 1 account... Works like a charm.

    two computers, two characters simultaneously is fine and not bannable.

    It's perfectly acceptable.

    Remember Xan you're still only thinking of multiclienting. You still seem to be under the assumption that if one thing is the same then it's bannable.

    If the game lets you play on the same account but on two different servers then it's clearly not bannable. You aren't multiclienting if you use two computers, no rules broken there. If the game is letting you log into the same account provided you do not log into the same server, then there is no rules broken either because you aren't using a third party programme to do so. So, it's perfectly fine.

    You do realize that you're quoting a GM being as direct as he can be. Two computers, two different characters you're fine. Same account different account, doesn't matter as long as you have two computers and are playing two different characters.

    1) I would have to say that by general rule PWI does not want you using the software in ways that they did not design it to be used, so they try make no exceptions to keep it simple

    2) Hell if I know XD (maybe matching IPs?)
