I'm sure someone else has posted a similar thread at some point, but I just have to say that the auction house could be better. I would love to see a more "sortable" AH, where you could check things by price, time left, and especially what the specific item is. For instance, I have been looking for a mold for Glaives of Divinity, and it's a bit annoying to try to sort through the dozens and dozens of other molds. It would be nice if they could set up sub-categories for Legendary/TT gear and molds like they have for practically everything else.

    agree price sorting would be great, also when you search for leg wep, lets say requiem blade you have to look on every page instead of having them altogether.

    Sort by Name, Price, Area, Mobs or something

    I think there should be a name search. I want to type in "elemental fragment", and show me a list of them. I have no idea where elemental fragment is in AH. Same goes with alot of other items.

    Why is the 'search' bar even there? It doesn't even work. I'd love to see this given some use.

    It does work. It just doesnt search for item names. It searches for auction IDs/numbers.

    Actually it does search, the catch is that you have to write the name in Chinese or one of those many languages that I can't understand.

    Thx for this, this gave me the idea to use something like google translator to translate the English word into the Japanese Character. Worked well for sorting skins.

    dragon quest-->31 for element fragments i believe

    but seriously, even the list of chinese characters at http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=677192 usta kinda get u to where u wanted to go most of the time, now no results show up there.

    if ur gona make a english version of PWI, u could also give us some better search for the auction. its already there it just needs fixed for us english folk.

    probably because the search finally DID GET translated into English. case sensitive English, true, but you can search on item names in this language now; try it.

    (and this, boys and girls, is a rare example of the dreaded necro actually being a bad thing, as opposed to just being said to be a bad thing. in between the original post and the necromancy, the game actually --- believe it or not --- got fixed so the original complaint is no longer valid.)

    Ok I was going to make my own suggestion about the auction house but decided to go back some pages to see if it was going to be a duplicate thread or not. I just don't get why the auction house is so bad after this game has been on the market for so long. You can't sort auction listings by item name/current bid/buyout price/time left eventhough you can click on those tabs at the top because it does nothing. The default listing/sort is decending auction number and can't be changed.

    The other problem with the current auction house set up is that not everything can be searched for. The only armor & weapons that can be searched for are CRAFTED items (the same crafted items that are sold by the various vendors and can also drop from mobs). While you can post quest items for sale, they can't be searched for without scrolling through countless pages of EVERYTHING up for sale at that current time. I've asked in world chat how you find the luck tokens on the auction house using the search feature only to be told you have to also scroll through all the pages to see those too (I got some from my coral pack & wanted to get an idea of how much they sell for instead of blindly putting them up when I'm extremely new to the game & don't know the economy yet). I have also posted items up for sale that were quest items that could not be searched for. Not only is this hendering potential buyers from buying items they may be looking for but it can greatly hender sellers from making money from selling stuff on the auction house.

    What needs to be done is: make a search box that looks for keywords; allow the columns to be a sort feature like how the faction menu is (online/name/level); and (probably won't happen because the fact that its an Asian based game) make searching not be case sensative.

    If the search feature were to be added to the game the best way to find things would be taking off the first letter since Asian based games are case-sensative when it comes to translating into English. If you've played other game that are Asian based (like ****) you would understand this all too well.

    At first I was going to mention to you that it does work but you have to know the auction number (the auction ID number) but someone already mentioned that after your post. It just makes absolutely no sense to look up specific auctions if you don't know the number of that person's post. After reading other posts about how you can type stuff like ★and search for stuff I tried. That isn't working for me so IF it DID work, it doesn't anymore...at least not for me.

    I've been able to search for Crafted items, Molds, HH gear, NPC gear, "Elite" instance Gear [Frost/Lunar] solely on using the Search function. [As well as HH mats/Skill Books] The search button works, and helps a lot. I'm not sure why you're having trouble with it.

    5 million. Just World Chat it and you'll usually always have a buyer.

    It does that, just case sensitive. It takes 1 second to press the Shift Key.

    Those 2 quotes you quoted were posted before the Auction House Search Function got updated. So those 2 quotes are nullified. Also, if you want to keep an eye on something, add it your Favorites. I do that often.
