There seems to be no point on leveling... maybe just too lazy to level

When I first started out this game, I was so happy. Each level just made me smile because it felt like an accomplishment, like winning a track meet or something.

But then oracles, BH, TB quests, and now hyper exp came.

I feel like I'm being forced to level up as fast as I can now which is so hard to do. I love to level up but now it doesn't make me feel that... Accomplished! feeling anymore.

For some reason, its like everyone is under this pressure to "level level level!!! or you fail this game!" thing. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm such a slow leveler and now I have to do what, level up to 20 in 3 days, 40 by 7 days, etc.

b:sweat I just don't feel that happiness as I play anymore. Oh well, at least track season is here b:chuckle

are you really only lv30? i dont know how you can say its hard at that level...wait till you hit the high 70s,80s and 90s...then you know what hard is all about.b:sad whats even harder is trying to get a squad together to do BHs like the Trench and such. in many ways, i wish i still was back in the 30s- leveling fast, lots of quests with lots of HP/SP awarded.

but now, its so hard to get help with BHs, its one of the things discouraging me from playing lately. plus people being so hung up on only wanting venos with hercs, never mind how well golems and glacials do. now, its like 'why bother?''

sorry, its just not as good a game as it was when it started. others opinion may vary, but this is what it is like to me

They account for nothing only if you feel they don't.

I will be attempting to farm my venos TT90 armour rather than buying every single little bit of it. Why? Because I will have a sense of achievement at the end of it, regardless if every other 9x player is saving up millions to buy a Helm of Holy Punishment and a Wing Trophy.

If you feel something isn't worth working for, that is your own personal opinion. With the current state of things, I wouldn't entirely blame you for it, either.

However, to say it is all the fault of this new levelling system, is BS, and I will call you out on it. There are plenty of people out there I know, who are refusing to do BH on their main, or their alts. They want to level the same way they used to and as such, they do not use the options available to them to power level. To them, their achievements still mean everything.

If is your choice to use these new levelling tools. You do not have to, just like you don't have to buy the gear from packs if you don't want to. You can go farm the OHT mat, and get it yourself over time, and if you honestly wanted it, the achievement would still mean a lot to you. The achievements only mean less if you let everybody else affect your gameplay, because then you are following the mindset of the sheep.

That's why I made this archer. It's really fun just questing, or even going on low lvl fail bhs XD for the lolz or when doing one of my fbs the squad leads were so nice explaining me everything & showing where to go b:chuckle I pretended to be noob. b:victory

It's also really nice not to have to worry about how the hell am I supposed to get gear that costs over 100m or those damn +10 refs, when low lvl stuff is easily accesible. Just nice relaxing gameplay.

People actually like to grind? Kill 100 mobs for .01 exp? It's a total party!

I'm a slow leveler... when I feel like it.

I got my barb from 20 to 36 in like 3 days (and the day isn't over).

My BM was 89 for like 2 months.

Thing is that most of my friends have:
1) Quit or disappeared off the face of Earth.
2) Rerolled.
3) Are way above my level.

I'm at a point where I feel like rerolling my main - this 92 BM. Yeah... I might do it, hand faction leadership to my cleric alt (or my barb, whichever I feel like) until my BM's deletion, and reroll. Why? 'Cause I feel like it. No one's stopping me O_o. With a account stash, easy to keep my current equip, and my barb's low-level equip too.

So until then, I might play my barb, I'm not even sure I'll reroll the BM. But I've done that kinda stuff in the past.

I'm an extremely slow leveler as well. It seems like no matter what I do, I can't get above 0.0% Ok, enough being sarcastic.

I can understand the pressure of leveling and the desire to want to make money until motivation can be found. However, money making is much easier as a higher level. If I wanted to, I could make 10mil a day, but then the game would be too much like work. Unfortunately, with higher levels come different pressures. Things like, well that BM can do it, why can't you? Or, how come you don't have lunar claws? But that's with every class. I know that a herc veno is preferred in BH because they make things easier on the squad and cheaper for the barb.

The big downside to having so many available avenues to leveling is the fact that we have so many high leveled players who don't know what they're doing. Why? Because they leveled too fast and didn't take the time to learn their class. I've put a lot of time and effort into my gear and level, and I still find things to learn on a daily basis.

The point is, only you can motivate yourself. The game is designed for each player to play as they want. So the question you've got to ask yourself is how much do you want to be a sheep? Follow the rest and power level under the illusion that high levels are much better, or take your time and actually do what the game was designed for, enjoy yourself?

Look at me. I stopped leveling. Actually I take exp. just from WQ and CS. But I still do BH's if it possible. As a reward from BH's I don't take 660000exp.but 66 reputation. Yes I started gain reputation instead of experience.b:victory

I am slow with leveling too - I don't really mind much. The only problem with slow leveling IMO is when you have buddies that leave you behind level-wise. They can and will do new quests at their higher level where you can't go. Otherwise, I think there is nothing wrong with feeding exp to the genie and waiting until you have enough sp to upgrade that skill you want so badly.

I've been quiet on the boards for a while now, but I had to speak up... I remember when I first started how pysched i was about leveling and how proud I was that i got to 56 in exactly 6 weeks to the day. And had great gear to boot. It was a wonderful feeling. Now I see lvl 100 tb's and think to myself WTH? Its only been 5 months? I've chosen to not go the fast lvl path now... I'm enjoying playing my alts and leveling them to 80 and then we'll c where we go. I can't afford to throw thousands of dollars in real money just to keep up with oracling, cash shopping folks. So me'n my piddly gear will inch along and be as good as I can possibly be with the tools I have to work with. TY for saying what alot of us would have like to have said first

At level 100 there truly is no point to leveling. I only do BH for the other rewards.

I used to be a 9x who only leveled every few weeks (I've long since quit now), mainly because I tried to keep a life outside the game and only invested a moderate amount of money and tried to keep my gear well maintained. 6 hours? it takes me 3 some times less to do CS WQ Mq and cube then i go afk for the rest of the day and do a bh or what ever if i get bored doing other ****. I'll admit though i pretty much have done everything i need to do on my char i only do dailys because meh would be nice to hit 102 one day but i dont care to much when that happens. As for getting nirvana meh.

I think it all depends on what you do.

If you are PK player, means to level quick should be allowed and thats what PWE have supplied for PWI.

If you are PVE player (like me),the important thing for me is the trip and the final destination is pointless. I'm not gonna get a reward for finishing the game?b:laugh

The good game friends you make while questing and grinding is better than a quest reward. why?:

- good friends will travel from one end of pwi to the other end to res you if need.
- they will help you in tough pointless quest too. LOL Like helping your veno friend to get a good pet in FB59 (unwined lol).
- Also like one of my friends who donated an hercules to another friend I had, just because I told him she was my best friend in game and could not afford a hercules.
-you get free gears, charms, ect from good friends.

You also learn to play your character as other have mentioned.

Again, I believe you pretty much finish the game after level 60 and you do couple of TT to get your gear. After that is more of the same.


I quit the game at 89 and return recently to get in shape for other upcoming games. Again, i only do bh if I get a free wine spot and I dont do CS. Most of my friends are gone.b:cry Some say time to make new friendsb:laugh

I have not found the reason to go to FCC (I've been there 3 times and is boring), only the first time was great as we did not know what to expect.

I wonder if all the easy levelling will eventually lead to an increase on level cap?
