Ok! I'm just about to start Perfect World but i'm wondering what is a class which a casual player can play? I don't have any type in mind. I want something thats affordable, easy to play and you know just a noob friendly class.

Thank you! b:pleased

Pick a psychic, their starter skills are easy and they do great damage, it will makes the first 50-60 levels easy and if you do it right daily quests regular quests you can be in the low 60's in a few weeks....no need for buying your level, its already easy enough to level without it.

Definitely not a Veno. If you do Veno first, you will whine later when you start a new char, because other classes are more challenging than a Veno. Try BM or Archer they are challenging at low lvls but they get awesome after a while.
◄ Alt for posting. | PVE Sage Archer and happy with it.

Toonsurfer has defiently made me more go for the psychic because it just sounds easier. I don't really mind leveling and things like that, its the money issue that i'll have. It sounds like it will won't have to cost loads and it just sounds like a enjoyable experience playing one. Anyone disagree?

Psychic=High damage all times, levels fast, less skills which may make you bored.

Assassin=The 'Pro' endgame class, not recommended if you're not PKing, Archer is the same thing.

Archer=High damage depending on range, don't get alot of skills at start. One of the best class for Territory Wars.

Venomancer=You have to control your pet and yourself, Venomancers can mostly tank with their legendary pet, Hercules (Cash Shop item) and Phoenix for Pking and PvP (Also Cash shop item.)

Wizard=People says its really hard lvling between 30ish due to archer monsters coming out to kill you with your low Psychical Defence. but this changes when you hit 55ish which magic monsters will come more often. A challenging class to level but a good reward at the end. One of the best class for Territory Wars.

Clerics=You will be mostly needed and people will mostly ask Clerics to be in their squad most of the time (For Dungeons, etc.) This is an advantage for you since you can heal others or yourself and have bluffs to help you through the levels, Its your choice.

Barbarian=Another most wanted in a squad, the Barbarian has the most health and defence in the game (But lacks magic defence) and can take the damage while other classes deal damage. Team up with a cleric and Dungeons should run smoothly..

Blademaster=Alot of fancy skills, have high health and defence, (Lack magic defence also, but better than the barbarian's magic defence) although barbarians would tank better. Blademaster gets a small amount of skills at the start of the game too.

Well that's my summary of the Classes. You can try it all, but it will be alot harder to level up high, I recommend playing a class until you're fully bored of it. Then change to another and explore fancy skills.

Hope that helps on your decision.

Theres also videos to help you make your decision.

    The characters

    The Humans-blademaster,Wizard

    The Untamed-Barbarian, Venomancer

    The Winged Elves-Archers, Clerics

So far there's Isn't a Tideborn (Assassin, Psychic) one yet, but the videos may comes in the future.

Also, while you're in there, check other videos that will make your Perfect World International experience a little bit better.

Hope this helps on making your decision.

You won't really have money problems if you do all the quests and don't buy armor / weapons from NPCs. You'll get plenty from quests / as drops. Also, you can learn apothecary, farm plants and make some life powders, they are pretty good life savers at low lvls. If you farm plants for an hour, you should make enough powders for 1-2 days! I would also suggest an Archer my main is lvl 44 Archer now and I find enough potions as drops, I never buy potions and I stopped using life powders at lvl20. The repair cost is very low, usually 1-2k. At lvl 44, I have almost 3mil from grinding (I never spent real money). Easy to get money especially now because of double rates. I don't know about Venos, I am a guy I would never play a female character but I am sick of them, so damn overrated class lol. If you wanna be Veno you have to spend 70mil for the BEST battle pet (Hercules) xD You don't HAVE TO, but you will be wanted in more squads if you have a Herc. And we are talking about money so I had to mention it. No offence to anyone.

Simple. You can solo anything with any gear, but you'll never do bosses (although the early ones still work out, but later on you'll need to be WAAAAAAAY ahead in level before you can take them down --- they'll just wipe your golem out of the way. At which point the drop penalty already kicks in hard, and if you're "lucky" you'll get a potion). As an example, being lvl 64, I've done FB29 only a few levels back, and Krixxix at bit before that --- although FB29 felt a bit too easy, so I could probably have done it earlier. Krixxix, on the other hand, was still dangerous. Last time I tried FB39 I failed "big time" at the first boss I tried --- judging from the speed of my golem going down it's not just a matter of getting "a few" more levels.

Whether or not even cash-geared Venos are wanted for parties I don't know --- other than their luring ability, which apparently can be done using genies as well, I don't really see any use: they can really only tank one monster at a time, they won't tank bosses, and their DD is probably worse than that of a real DD class.

You'll only need to spend money on water --- which is 52 gold every 5 minutes or something like that. Easily obtained from drops; when you've used up the 200 water you get for free and didn't waste it by having the pet out when you don't need it, you'll already be getting more than those 52 from a single gold drop. Repair costs are extremely low if you let the pet do the fighting, else you'll probably have to repair your wand more often. I do occasionally fire an offensive spell to speed up things a bit, though.

Bottom line, they are a solo class that works well for casual players. I don't know if PW has a class that solos bosses, but at least we can solo everything(? I still haven't seen the stuff beyond my level, obviously) except for bosses, and we don't need gear or potions. But we won't get rich or famous either :-)
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng
