23 cleric might be a little too low for those.

It's a low drop rate, but eventually you'll be able to get them all.

Or, you know, you could just go back to Archosaur and buy some from the auction house or a cat shop.

The easiest thing to do for quests that call for DQ items is to just buy them from the Auction House or from a cat shop.

It's also the most expensive solution.

If you're already bothered by a bit of quest item farming at lvl 23, MMO"RP"Gs are definitely not for you...
Slow progress, game is getting way too grindy :-( Quests I still hope to be able to do some day: FB39, General Feng

Expensive, yes, but also the fastest. Normal drop quests, where you have to X number of teeth, hides, or whatever, i have no prob with. Quests where i have to turn in DQ items, id rather just buy the blasted things than waste a half hour or more trying to farm them. Granted, with 2x drops ongoing at this time, it wouldnt take very long to get the needed DQ items, but as a general principle, i just buy whatever DQ items ill need. Thankfully, quests asking for DQ items are pretty rare, save the optional Dragon Quests. Biggest waste of time ive ever seen.

And from what the OP is saying, it sounds like the quest you get from the master swordsman out near Orchid Temple, where you have to get a number of Ele Frags (DQ 21 or 31 items i think) and give em to him.

Element fragments are DQ31. I believe you need 5 for this quest.

Exactly, some quests that require normal drop items or mats (like herbs or stones) can either be gathered cheaper but taking more time or can be bought for various rates from other players.

Unless you need the cash it's usually a good idea to hang on to any DQ items you collect and to farm any mats you find close to you in the areas you are fighting in. You never know when they will come in handy for you down the road and they have a good sell value to other players if you need the cash.

This is a good point in your character's leveling process to do the grinding that is lost on the later levels. Have fun!

I did a search for "Element Fragments" and found this other thread to be helpful, yet your level may be to low to finish without getting killed quickly. I know I probably am so, I would put off the quest for a while until I can build up myself.

    Anyway here's the URL: http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=462432&highlight=Element+Fragments
Good Luck to both of us {:?)
