TimeLords is a New, up and coming faction on the Harshlands (PvP) server. We have been founded with one singular goal in mind, to become a large-scale faction that partakes in all that PWI has to offer, including TW. With a total of 10 years of guild/clan/faction leading experience, you can expect nothing short of spectacular leadership from the factions leader, Carcica. All players of PWI level 20 or higher are welcome to join us, Rules/Forums/Extra Info on TimeLords can be found here and the factions website (Coded exclusively by Carcica)

timelordsguild.webs.com

Any and all inquiries can be submitted via TLG Forums, in game mail, response to this thread, or via PM(in game or on here). TLG Prides it self on prompt responses to any question or any application that is submitted to us.

A short list of games, Carcica has had Guild/Faction leading in:
Diablo 2/Diablo 2 LoD
War Craft 3
Counter-Strike:Source
Left4Dead1 and 2
Rohan Online
World of War Craft
Vanguard:Saga of Heroes
Conquer Online
Eudeomons Online
Freelancer
Call Of Duty 1/ United Offensive
Allods Online(short period of time)
Jade Dynasty
Runes Of Magic
And many, many more.

Recruitment is currently Open, until march 28th. then it becomes closed, application only recruitment. Feel free to go to our forums and request to join during Open Recruitment and contact a TLG R.O.(Recruitment Officer) in game. They will be your source of information pertaining to the joining process. Unlike other factions, we will not flood World Chat with recruitment calls because it seems unprofessional (And, in our experiences, only the worth while players frequent the forums enough to be recruited)

Also, if you are below level 20 because you are just coming to Harshlands, Fear not! We may still accept you yet! Just pm Carcica or T_B with the promo code "TLGR" and gain instant access!
(Promo code only valid until 3/28/10)

TimeLords is an equal opportunity recruiter, we will not discriminate based on Age, Sex, Nationality or religion.

    The Guild Banter section is here:
    http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21

    and /in before someone mentions something about listing other games on the PWI forums...

    actually you know what... /in before a lot of trolls that will pick on this thread.

    edit: just a suggestion on your website, you might considering using a light grey/pale blue color font instead of Red, it's kinda harsh on the eyes and seems unprofessional.

    the taxes are indepthly explained in the Rules section of the website, if people have a problem with them then they may come under revision by the Council. Members are allowed to propose changes to the guild rules and bi-laws via the forums.

    Vixre, the suggestion has been noted and beta versions of the new site will be tested this coming Sunday during the weekly maintenance.

    It seems to me people have problems reading. The tax is explained in the Rules, Regulations and Procedures on our site.

    Those are games i have held leadership roles in, i have left them not due to boredom, but up until recently the entire guild would move to another game to test our mettle against differnt foes.

    I also love how people openly bash a different approach to a guild setting, that has worked for many years with little to no problems. It has been brought over from Pay to Play games to test how Free to Play players will react to it. From what it seems, people are afraid of the new idea and choose to shun and try and go troll on it. Good luck, I have heard it all. You can't troll some one who frankly doesn't give a damn about flames from people who don't take the time to test out a new system.

    If you didn't give a damn about trolls, you wouldn't respond to them with "lol u think i kare?" Firrlz....I've read that line too many times, and I know deep down inside it's eating you slowly to where you attempt to reach out for your Prozac but your arm isn't long enough to succeed in the reach for it.

    Lol there are plenty of other ways to raise the cost of leveling a guild taxing players is probably the worst one ive come across in a long time. Im happy to see that this has worked for you in the past, however, that is by far the lamest way to raise funds. Idk man like i had said in last post listing all those games makes ur guild look very unstable, and i doubt that you will succeed but thats just my opinion. Personally if i were you, i would edit that post and remove all the past games. Not that i care either way, i happen to be in a great guild. I just dont see any of the players here willing to give up the hard earned coin to a guild tax. Yes i have read your rules, pretty lame imho to come to a pvp server and tell your members that they cant kill anyone that the feel like killing in an online game. Maybe with your rules your guild is better suited on a PVE server, its not to late to reroll on the new server where your guild might stand a chance.

    In all honesty, the way that you presented your recruitment message and your faction rules are... "weird". Thats the best way I can describe it without being too insulting; that's why you've attracted all the trolls and nay-sayers.

    All I see in your recruitment message is basically how awesome your faction is. I doubt they'll really prefer a super-awesome website that's been exclusively coded by Carcica over killing quest bosses. Btw, about the coded part.. whats with the "(c)LoadingScreenProductions. All Images Copyright of their respective owners." at the bottom? Are you trying to advertise your company? Or is your "hand-coded" site a collection of free-to-use web-design services put together? Doesn't webs.com offer a built in forum feature? Why make another forum on another website? That's just confusing to use. Integrate them both into once place... heck, just stick a forums, you can make pages and tables on a forum too.

    Why would people want to join your faction? The word "boss" isn't even mentioned in your message, believe it or not, that's what lowbies always needs help on. People join factions to hang out with friends or to get help, there are numerous other factions who recruit low level players that offer help on bosses and instances, do you offer the same? This form I made lists all the bosses that players get from lv20-70: http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dGFmSUwtVlVOR0Q4RzVKY3hESHZFY0E6MA
    If you can't even do half of these, I suggest you put your faction on hold, join a larger faction and level yourselves up. When you have the levels, friends, and resources to support a faction, restart your efforts.

    And just in general, the Harshlands forums isn't the best place to recruit, and you couldn't of picked a section of the forums that was more troll-saturated. Get some gold, buy some teleacoustics, and recruit on world chat in game, if you can't afford gold to teleacoustic, forget it, you can't compete against other factions that have the luxury.

    And if you want to recruit some people, get off your high horse. Why are you collecting taxes from your members?When I first made my own faction, I *handed out* money to my members as an incentive to level up... I'm not suggesting you to do the same.. but you should reverse your view as being some super-elite group that's so exclusive, that you need to apply within a specific time window, or some kind of a coupon code just to get in.

    Solely from experiences in starting and building a faction, you want to recruit a lot of random peoples, not restrict opportunities for new people to join when you're so low in numbers. (From your taxes page, I'm guessing your faction has around 5 active members?). Weed out the bad ones, then with what you have, start building a set of core members, give executor positions to people that actively play (and those with gold to spam world chat), and slowly expand from there. Btw make sure you have enough clerics/tanks/herc venos to do bosses.

    ~~~~~
    tl;dr:
    *Drop your weird website, just use a free forums service, it's enough for a small faction
    *List what you can do for the faction, not 10 years of leadership experience even though you're 17. People want things done, like bosses and TT, a "exclusively coded website" can't tank Krimson.
    *Recruit in-game.
    edit: omgwtf, how come my avatar isn't updating its levels but yours is >_>... /rage.
    Dear Carcica,
    I sincerely hope you are enjoying your stay here at PWI. I know this transition will be rough for you, with all the trolls. You will just have to get used to it, I'm afraid.
    That said, are you prepared to spend upwards of 2k USD on this game? If you and the rest of your faction is not this dedicated, you will fail and be nothing more than a herd of noobs. That's the truth.
    You see, PWI is different from other MMO's in that we have incredible amounts of people with disposable income. Without being able to compete financially, you will never be able to compete in-game. If you plan to make a TW faction, you must recruit at least 80 friends also willing to spend this much. It matters not how much you tax your members, it won't make up the difference.
    Finally, I must call attention to your terrible name. "TimeLords?" That is a name that screams "KoS me."
    In summation, I hope you love leading your herd of noobs around who are very impressed with your "experience" in MMOs. Eventually, they will realize that MMO experience doesn't transfer from game to game and leave for another guild. Players are fickle.
    But hey, if you're willing to become what's essentially a "boss slave," then by all means, enjoy yourself.
    Sincerely,
    Harshlands(PvP)
