Enjoying the sun and surf of Spring Break with your guildies? We'd love to see your activities captured in snapshot form!



"Guilds Gone Wild" is a screen shot competition; we want you to to send us a Spring Break-themed Guild photo--one that demonstrates the spirit of your faction, whether is it one of camraderie, isolation, or anything in between.

Our five favorite entries will net their owners a rare Bulbfish mount, and from these five winning submissions we will select a faction to spotlight in an upcoming news post! This faction spotlight will likely stem from a Faction Leader interview conducted by one of our on-site reporters..

RULES:

Photoshop can be used, but screen shots will be judged on the content of the screen shots themselves

Images must be in JPG, PNG, BMP, or GIF format only.

Only one entry can be submitted per person.

    Oh no no, the player who submits the screen shot will get the bulbfish, not his/her guild leader.

    It was only a matter of time before they got something like this started first it was TW now this the Gm's are trying to cause more competition between factions, Looks like fun :D

    Perfect timing, I'll grab a shot of my faction as they prepare to paint the map completely red this week. b:laugh

    I must admit I'm a little discouraged from entering based on the last ss contest though... oh well, doesn't hurt to try.

    what if more than one person from the same guild submit the same shot (as in idea shot, not same SS), who gets the fish then?

    your probably gonna say the one that got submitted first..

    what if... it was the guy who "thought the guild shot idea up"who gets his screenshot submitted after another guildie?, then hes just been robbed of his mount


    this event is so flawed and will create a lot of drama =\

    (for those who dont get this.

    Guy A comes up with the idea, plans the event and sets it all up, He invites guy B & C from the faction to be in the shot. Guy A takes the SS but so does guy B unknowing to guy A, Guy B submits his SS before guy A and wins the mount. Guy A just got robbed of all his work)

    I see a lot of problems with this... especially in creating problems within the faction. They should just give the entire faction a smaller prize, but meh.

    Okay two questions.

    1) it says one photo per player, does that mean that there can be more entries for the same faction, as long as its submitted by differend players?

    2) It says that we can use photoshop, but that it is the content of the screenshot that will be judged. This i understand as, that we can add special effects, but it won't change to the better. Then i was thinking, can we clip more pictures together? It is very possible to do, and still make it look like a screenshot. Does it have to be 1 screenshot, or will clipping screenshots together count?

    (with 2 i think of that some guilds might have small trouble to arrange a time where all got time, so if clipping is allowed, you don't have to be all at the same place at once, but can still be on the picture. Did that make sense =/?)

    While I think the idea for the contest is pretty good and could bring folks together to get creative, the decision to make the prize only going to the person submitting the shot is pretty lame. If you want a faction bonding kind of contest then everybody in the faction should get a prize for winning. Maybe something like a gold or plat charm or some other expensive but temporary item. If not the whole faction then at least a prize for everybody in the snapshot.

    1) Yes, that's fine :)

    2) The idea is for it to be one screen shot, so clipping multiple shots together wouldn't be a good idea.

    Whoever sends in the best SS will win the mount. Since they'll be taking the screen shots themselves, each shot will be unique.
