Read through the guides and I'm STILL super confused. :(

I finally decided to make a barb! So of course I've been reading many guides and such but they all say you need strength and dexterity at the minimum for weapons / armour but I have no clue what this is at any level...?

I want to go for a really good tank build, is there any "certain number in each stat per level"? Would be a lot less confusing.. I'm only level 4 right now and I have:

VIT - 6
STR - 12
MAG - 5
DEX - 5

And 7 points left over, I'm so confused... Is that ok so far and where do I go from there? :S

I think it's 3 dex 1 str for HA and axes, but I'm not positive. The rest need to go in vit.
It's not my job to shut you down on a suggestion. It's a pleasure, though.

Easy way would be to look at what you need for each new armor and work towards. Whatever is not needed dumb into vit.

Well by how you seem to be unaware of the build for a barb, is this your first melee class?
...and if yes, well it's as Maddieson and aryannamage have mentioned, stat 3 str and 1 dex per lvl, with the remaining put into vit (Barbs are str based). You can check the str and dex requirements of the next Heavy armor and your next dual axe/hammer you will wear at the Tailor and Black Smith npcs respectively
●Barb - The "natural" leader. Cool and collected, slow to anger, and typically jovial. Swift to act when friends' lives are in danger, and prepared to lay down his life if the situation calls for it.

End of lvling, starting of the unimaginableb:laughb:victoryb:coolb:cool

    Happy to help!

PS: Continue to listen out for more advice by other barbs (who have at least followed the Tank build b:chuckle)

    Your build is wrong

Just write down on your paper

Starting from level 1, 3 STR, then 2 VIT, after next LVL 3 STR, 1 DEX, then 1 VIT

    Level till 11
then you should have 35 STR, 10 DEX and 20 VIT. Keep counting from there. Thats your standard tank build
    [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thanks for Flauschkatze for siggy b:cool

VIT > STR > DEX > MAG... GG
HA > LA > AR... GG

    HA + VIT = win b:bye

    35 str 15 dex 25 vit at level 11

i may have something wrong in my math.... soo yeah lemme know.

LMAO i just found my problem.. 3+1+2 =6 not 5 totally messed up

Not worth restarting: from lvl 6 it's easy enough to fix your build (unless you put points in MAG). If you want that build Yulk proposes, just don't put any more points in dex for now. If you put all in str and vit from now until lvl 11, you can have 35 str, 19 vit, 11 dex...which is just one point off. Skip the dex you would normally put in dex at lvl 13 according to his list (so at lvl 13 put 3 str and 2 vit even though it's an odd lvl) and you're back on track.

Also, one of the stickied guides has list that is almost lvl by lvl...although I'm told it's not 100% accurate anymore.

Read over *sticky* by Dai It has a chart for what your stats should be for heavy armor and dual hammers/axes. It works nice for me anyways.
