Bloodstained letter

I have no idea how to find this bloodstained letter for this quest i think its for lvl 40+ idk cant remember had it for so long plz helpb:surrender

    I presume the Bloodstained Letter you are looking for is for the quest Unfading Nightmare from Old Veteran Du. If this is so then go to co-ordinates 106, 666 - there is a large skeleton on the ground, walk under it and walk around the skull in the center (you must be on the ground, not flying) - it will auto update the quest saying "the ground looks funny" and give you an option to "search" - press search and it will give you the letter; which you take back to Old Veteran Du.

    as of may 23 2009, I can confirm that the letter is back. Just did it with my alt.

    lol i had a hard time with this one too. went back on several occasions under the same skeleton and couldnt get it.. then one day.. it just happened.

    was really annoying tho

    Sorry to bump this old thread but... I've had this quest for some time now (I'm about 10 levels more than when I first got it). I keep returning to the same damn place, and the message still hasn't popped up yet. A few weeks ago, I mentioned this to a GM. He showed up and even he couldn't figure out what was wrong.

    Stupid quest.

    Sorry for necro'ing an old thread but i just had this problem yesterday; i think the root of the problem was that i had 20/20 quests...

    I was running around this skeleton for at least 20 minutes but then i finally dropped a quest (so i had 19/20) and boom i got the letter within 15 seconds.

    Hope that helps someone else.

    i can confirm, i had 20/20 quests and couldn't get it. i dropped one and voila!

    besides from that , exact quest location ant at the skull --- walk around the large skeleton not the skull in middle

    **** man.. I can't get the letter!!! I've walked all around it!

    I only have 8/20 quests too.


    *EDIT* GOT IT.... AFTER RUNNING AROUND IT FOR 20min

    I also confirm, dropping a quest if 20/20 will allow the letter box to appear. I ran around for 10 min with 20/20 then dropped one to 19/20 and it worked. Thanks :)

    I was having the same issue with this quest, but after a few minutes of running aroud, FINALLY figure it out,i have done it on my Alt to make sure it worked. u need to get inside the Skeleton and go all the way back to the tail, stand there for a couple of seconds and BOOM! quest pop.     Just did this moments ago on 3/23/2010 and its as the poster above me mentioned. Walk into the skelli and boom a window pops up and you get the letter.

    just tried it- 6/13/10

    walk around inside the skeleton for a few seconds- dont jump
    and you'll have the message pop up soon enough

    FINALLY! That was the trick that worked!...dropped a quest and bingo! Thanks a mil.

    Yeah had trouble with this even without 20/20... i went afk for an hour.. and came back and it was there. I was standing just behind skellies head.

    so i was reading these posts and i went to the spot. and nothing happened so i kept reading and while i was reading it worked. so maybe u hav to sit in the spot for like a few mins
