I am disappointed. Why are people so rude in this game?

Yeah, as it was mentioned before, the oracles have to be done alone, OR you get it down to 50% health. And the cleric could have healed/purified you at the least.

I'm not a d-bag like that, I'd help! Though, it's just my natural cleric instinct to heal squad members. Or on the new server that everyone is oracling on, I usually sit there and heal out of group. It's fun because then it's like, good karma. And everyone is happy. :D

You have to do oracles alone to get the exp. But i guess the cleric, if they where nice, could have healed you a bit or purified. But i understand if they didn't since im pretty sure they had 30-100 oracles to finish and it gets rather annoying after a while with lowbies coming by spamming party invites and asking for help. They probably just wanted you to gtfo.

Does gets rather tiring that people dont know they have to solo the quest and cant even bother to figure stuff you by themselves, after you explained it to 10 people you just stop answering. Than you get whispers about "halp plz" 20 more times and you ignore everyone and hope they die to the boss b:surrender.

Really go join a better faction and try to make friends. Random players normally tends to get tired getting asked to help all the time :/
plenty of people have hundreds of oricles, I've been to the 35 wicked pirates and seen LOADS of people over there. I generally say I only have 1 or 2 and 9 times out of 10 I can get a cleric to heal for it, they know I'm not going to stick around. This is coming from a 70 venomancer, 70 psychic, and 51 assassin. you'll find some helpful players around, just gotta look for them. find a cleric or something from the dominant faction nearby (on dw it's calamity, some from equinox help as well) and they might help you out, at least buffs anyway. A high cleric buff goes a long way.

Is wrong anyone on any sever can be jerk.
    Not just PvP servers.

The real reason why people are so rude in this game is a MMORPG and how they at to you is how they act in real life. Most likely you just met a moron that just didn't like you for who you are. Like that person that kiked you off his/her friends list there will be many more others out there that act like that. Not just on PvP servers but on PvE ones as well. So, don't just think that everyone on a PvP server or a person that likes to Pk a lot are always bad people because I seen some very nice people on Lost City.

    (+3 To Samsoul's Post.) b:victory

I encountered people like that already everywhere, anyone can be a jerk. I meant on another game where there was a PKing contest. Where you have to kill other people, or 1 shot them with an invincible hammer. So much drama from people who "like" PVP. More likely to brag or QQ than actually enjoy playing the game.

Ty My point in using that is becuase: he was rude sense someone was rude to him, and after after being rude in his ..revenge i guess you could say(thers a better word) somthing came back to bite him in the ****.
There are enough nice ppl and enough jerks in the real world to not need it here.If im in the real world i have enough jerks to deal with there then to deal with it here.Being nice gets you places.normally if someone is rude in a squad, if i have lead i will kick them.I know no one can always aviod being rude all the time sense ppl have there days. but you have to think what cuased those days for you to be in a stressful mood. Was it ppl taking somthing to harshly? or somthing someone did?

on the note of something someone did..I find my faction leader Pming a"Face/Palm" I'll do the same sometimes. we have the patience to tell someone somthing over and over, like everyone here saying it gets tiring telling ppl they have to solo and oracle, so? theres always new ppl and its not like your the only one saying this to others.True patience never runs out.

Well i don't think you will ever play any other online-game without meeting one a-hole in the game. Like the other guy said, welcome to the internet. Its been said a million times already, but dont quit!

You could either join another faction, change server or just start looking real hard for nice people. I met a rather friendly person yesterday on Raging Tide (i think) server. Sure, not the best player i've ever seen, but she was nice and helped me, and man was it way easier and funner.

On another note, you're not obligated to do anything as any class. But if you're in a squad or were invited into a squad, it was for a reason (unless of course they are a bunch of friends who don't really give a damn). If you're a cleric, you're definitely not going to be invited as a tank, just like a barb wont be invited to heal people.

Every class in a squad has their own weight to pull, and if you whine about not being obligated to do something as a certain class, its probably because you are no good at it.

People arent angel's in any online game i quess. A faction can help you a lot, but sure, it's not easy to find an halfway alive...faction. But people as this you will find tons of it, even here if you read few replays as from Kiyoshi,...where you can read between the lines, they are exactly one of those '' wanna be important, im strong, i know everything better, you are noob, move noob..'' players. I quess in 95 % are those just kids and the younger they are, more annoying & stupid they are ( often ).

I never really got the point of laughing at a lower level because there's stuff in-game that they don't know about. We were all lower levels at some point, but many people forget that. Whenever I see a lower level doing oracles, I watch them to do 2 things: 1 make sure they can do it without dying, and 2 kill it for them once they get the mob's hp below 50%. If I notice they are about to die from the mob ( they get below 25% hp) I step in and stun the mob, then kill it before stun wears off.

As for clerics not being obligated to help, that is true, but when I'm playing my cleric, I find it feels better to heal the person and buff them, then it does to watch them die (maybe I'm just no sadistic enough lol). Though, if the person is rude to me when I'm playing, I feel no resentment in watching them die when they agro too many mobs.

Ooh for once a subject like this is not posted in the General Discussion and I like that =D

Anyway, I didn't know that Oracles required you to deal the most damage to the mob, and so my two cleric friends and me squaded to kill the Wicked Pirates. When only one of us got the kill, we were quite confused and tried it again before we realised what the problem was.

So yeah, I find it pretty lame that they derived joy in watching you die =/

And they were clerics... I thought clerics should help others. Of course, they don't HAVE TO help me. But why did they invite me, then? They should have told me to go away, instead of making fun of me.

As you've put in caps, they didn't have to help you. But the fact that they invited you does make them look like asses.

Then again, don't bother understanding them. It takes a lack of conscience, a tortured background or sadism to understand them.

I like this game, but I'm very close to quitting right now. I have to skip all boss battles / FBs because no one's willing to help, and people just call me a noob only because my level is low. I'm happy if sometimes I meet a nice person who helps me with cultivation bosses, but other than that, people are rude in this game. I have a faction, but they are always busy lvling. I really don't see the point of being in the faction. They said if I join, they will help me with bosses but they never do it.

Don't skip the bosses; sometimes you just have to wait it out. I don't know what server you're on, but on my server, there are world chats where people offer to help with bosses, and they're more often than not rather nice people. Just recently a high lvl BM offered to help with bosses and I joined the squad, and a few others who needed different bosses all also hopped on and we went on a boss killing spree, and not just the one boss he intended to help. (I waited almost two weeks for this to happen o_o)

If you meet nice or decent enough people, add them. My cleric (Ingway) has a couple of friends who added him (probably cuz he's a cleric), and I never expected anyone to add my archer. But a cleric added me for reasons I'm not sure why, and a veno added me only because I helped her get out of a PK gank.

One thing that's different from playing a cleric though is that as an archer, I carry apothecary items and event HP food for self protection. At some point I started to feel that the best person to rely on is yourself; try not to expect everyone else to do their jobs. It's really a bonus if they do these days. I haven't really suffered much from incompetent squad members ever since I learnt to keep myself alive.

And yeah, as some people have pointed out, being nice goes a long way and may have an 'extending effect'. In another game I played, someone gave me mushrooms to get out of a newbie dungeon. I did the same thing to another newbie the next time I created a new character.

Talking trash and talking down never really leads to anything worthwhile, IMO.

In RL, people are total *ss wipes, and the same goes in MMORPG games. They are the people that you wish were either on a PVP server or flagged for PVP on a PVE server, with you having a Lvl 105 in all out legendary gear, so you could teach them a lesson in manners. In all MMORPG games people are rude. On another game I play on, level 80's grief kill level 30's. The 80 camps the persons corpse, killing them over and over again. Why? Just to be an *ss hole.

Lol. After hearing that, I think there shouldn't be anyone complaining abut being pked in this game since is what ever game your taking about sounds like complete chaos. b:shocked

real life? Game? Same ****! You'll find idiots and awesome folk in both - no one is saved just as no one is doomed.

As for me - same in game and in rl, I am a nice person but remember a girl in fac chat telling me: "Svaa, you can be a real jerk, you know that?" - damn, I did not know that!! *we're always perfect in our own eyes* I was a jerk to her - yes, but aren't we all at times?

    Just ignore it.

Idiots - blacklist them and don't stress about!

I didn't know that I have to kill it alone. I am a new player, and even though I read a lot of guides, there are things I still don't know. I won't bother with the other oracles then, because I cannot solo those things. One more thing to skip.

Anyways, sorry for the thread. I was just very disappointed and it felt bad, you know... I just had to let go of my feelings. Maybe this game is just not for me. Maybe MMOs are not for me anymore... I haven't found one with a helpful community in years. I see scammers, cursing and hate everywhere... :c

    Is this for real?
    People mean on PWI?

You guys dont know anything about being mean on the internet =S. Play Dota/COD/Counterstrike and that will be the closest thing to being "mean" on the internet.

Whats the big deal. You cant expect everybody to be all civil and stuff. In a game where thousands play it they have bad days, maybe their computer got a couple of viruses or they just played a game of dota where their teammate fed, or something.

Of course people will be mean, but thats life i guess. Just saying that PWI has a really really nice community. Nicest community ever, actually in online gaming.
