Grayhaired Man (in Lunar Glade) NPC Removed?

I just did the solo mode quest from the janitor of Lunar Glade, which has you do some kills & then hand in some items to village elders around the world & back to the Janitor. He then gives you an item to take you to Grayhaired Man in Insulum Valley, which to pick up another quest. This new quest is to be called A Suffered Soul and IS sitting in my 'Find Quests'. I use the teleport item, and the grayhaired man isnt where he's supposed to be, i tried relogging & clicking the green name & it matches the coords in find quests, but noone is there. Now i understand this quest at the end would allow you to do the secret bosses, who were removed from Lunar Glade entirely. But i'm wondering if this NPC was removed or is something is glitched? If this NPC removal was intentional, REMOVE the quest from find quests... or it'll be sitting there like the Volcanic Ambassador was forever. b:surrender

    As far as I'm aware, they're still building bits of Lunar Glade. I could be mistaken of course, but the last word on the street I heard is it's now an unfinished instance and they have recommended you do not go into it.

    So, yes. Don't quote me on it but your NPC may well be gone while they're still finishing the actual dungeon. (Because a finished Lunar Glade always helps you to complete Lunar Glade)

    They had asked us not to go into group mode. However this was involving the solo mode quest series. Unfortunately i didnt get the item to port me to the gray haired man back after use so i have no way to get to him again if he's only available in certain modes.

    I just did that quest line and am having similar issues, although not exactly the same. I did the Humorum valley Bottom of Yin part, then returned to janitor and turned it in. She told me I should go see the Grayhaired Man (this is now in my "find quests" as A Suffered Soul), and I got a Talisman of the Valley in my inventory, but when I click it I just get a message saying "not in requested area." I tried going back into Humorum Valley just in case but get the same message in there.

    So how do we pick up the Suffered Soul quest? I would appreciate an answer on this from anyone that knows what is happening.

    When i used the talisman, i was standing right next to the Janitor who gave me the talisman. The description on the talisman said to use it when standing in the Entrance to Frigoris if i recall, which is the spot where the janitor resides.

    Yeah, just noticed I have two different talismans, that was my mistake. Talisman of the Valley appears to do nothing no matter where I am, always says wrong area. Talisman of the Glade teleports you to where the man is supposed to be.

    Problem remains that there is no NPC. >.<

    So I still would like to know how we are supposed to do this quest.

    Was extremely bored and wanted to try that quest line...I thought that only the squad mode was under construction, so I figured it would be okay. I used the little teleport thingy from my inventory so I either just shot myself in the foot or there will be some way to get into Insularum Valley [I don't mind doing it the long way without the teleport item, as long as it's still possible to complete the quest line].

    The Talisman of the Valley was used in the prior quest to go to the Bottom of Yin & back. It's actually 2 items, the 1st Talisman of the Valley trasports you from the entrance of Frigoris to the Lake in Humorum. It vanishes after use but gets replaced by a 2nd Talisman of the Valley that is only useable at the Bottom of Yin in Humorum and take you right back to the Janitor at the entrance to Frigoris. If you went the long way back it makes no difference & you can discard that.

    Actually this is another infamous rewrite of PWI patch notes. The notes used to say "Squad mode is still under construction. Please do not use this feature." So myself, and many other worked on the solo quest that became available. I'm guessing many bugs cropped up along with complaints about solo mode, so they removed the line specifying squad mode. I'm rather annoyed about that, only in so far that i need to get a new teleport item from the GMs. I dont care that i cant do the quest yet, but at least they should replace the necessary Talisman of the Glade item i need to get to the NPC, so when Lunar is up & running i can go visit the NPC.

    They Grey haired man unfortunately suffered a Massive Coronary and passed away. A search has begun to find a replacement for him, but as the replacement will need to have significant qualifications to assume the post, don't hold your breath in the hopes of seeing him any time soon. You will just cause yourself harm.

    Been 13 days since i submitted a ticket. No i'm not demanding anything stupid like how it should be fixed immediately. I know they're working on it and i'm patient. But the Patch notes originally said only group mode was still under construction (one of their secret later edits... akin to permanent charm packs). So i did the solo mode quest. I used up my Talisman of the Glade and just want one returned to me so i will have it, for when this NPC is returned to the game.

    im stuck on this part, i used the card and teleported to that valley but cant do this part of the quest =\ says you need to look at the bottom of the lake or whatever, so i swam around the bottom of that pool everywhere and nothing =\

    what do i do here?

    It is in the lake, make sure you are at the very bottom. Go into the water between the two bridges, swim across to the other side; it is slightly closer to the left bridge. Just swim around a bit and you will get a message. Took me ages too.

    And thank you for letting us know it is being worked on GMs, but please make sure you reimburse those of us who used up our talismans with a new one, or put a new NPC in the entrance that will teleport us there. A friend of mine lost his as well and we don't want to be stuck unable to complete it.

    I also teleported to the site, and went back and fourth for half hour thinking it was like finding the spot in the lake. Of course now I have no teleport talisman, as well.

    I too have had the same prob..the grayhaired man quest is still in my find quests I used up my tele to get to him and he wasnt there I need to have that tele back I have no clue now how to find him.

    I also used my talisman and spent at least half an hour looking the the gray haired man. I also have lost my talisman now and need a new one.

    That lake part took forever for me to find too. But make sure that after you complete that part of the quest, you don't use up the next talisman they give you, because that's when there's no NPC...and it seems that the reconstruction won't be over for awhile b:surrender

    I finally got a response on my Ticket, where they sent me a new Talisman of the Glade. However to my dissappointment, i clicked on it to remove it from the mail, only to have it entirely vanish & not be received into my inventory. I dont know what the issue is, but i just had to submit a new ticket to get it again. I hope they will, and dont think i'm just tossing these away to waste their time. It seems odd that it would just entirely vanish like that out of the mail.

    just a quick suggestion though, PWI ... if ur gonna rebuild things or make npc's disappear, any chance u could disable that option on the quest-granting npc? or is that too easy?

    just means that ppl that want to play the game instead of wading through paperwork, can just get on with it?


    if someone's repairing a road bridge and took a chunk out of it, it would be reasonable to place some warning signs at the bridge, instead of just an ad in the local paper ;)

    I have a similar, but different problem. I think I am totally glitched.

    Went through the solo mode, handed out the talisman to the 3 npc's, then went back to talk to the Janitor. I didn't realize I had gotten a teleport stone in my inventory, and I chose solo mode again so the valley master would appear. I wanted to see where that valley was located on the list.

    After that I noticed the teleport stone in my inventory, and I right clicked it. Teleported to the lake, went to the bottom and got a pop-up that told me I have found something and another teleport stone appeared, so I right clicked it and went back.

    Now here is where the problem is, the Janitor is not there. No matter what I do, I cant get him back.

    1. I tried re-logging.
    2. I trashed the quest to try it again, not realizing it was still a continuation from the solo one and lost what I had done. :(
    3. Then I squadded to get a timer, then re-logged again.
    4. Squadded and let the other person enter first, who also could only see the valley master.

    With every attempt only the Valley Master was present. The only thing I have not tried is paying the Essence to get in one of the valleys. I didn't have one and the mats are so expensive I can't afford them.

    Anyone else have this? Should I submit a ticket?

    EDIT:
    Ok, the Janitor is back today. I just needed to stay logged off for a while and give it time to reset, I guess.

    So, is the Grayhaired man still missing? I submitted a ticket to get a new talisman, but if the NPC is gone, there isn't much point.

    I want my extra boss... b:cry
