Ok guys this is important!
This is between skatefish and sawfly, and walker and golem.
Which should I pick after herc and nix.
I asked everyone on sanctuary and it was like 50-50.
So what should I pick after nix and herc.b:surrender
P.S try to leave stat pages so I can determine!

The sawfly has better stats than the skatefish, and the walker has better stats than the golem.

Why would you get anything after the two best pets besides a water or lure pet?

An endgame's Veno's Pet window should look like this:

Budget
1. Crystalline Magmite
2. Petite Sawfly
3. Celestial Plumpfish
4. Ethereal Inamorato

Normal
1. Baby Hercules
2. Baby Blazing Phoenix
3. Celestial Plumpfish
4. Ethereal Inamorato

Optional

<Insert mount here>

<Insert all-class Pet here>
It's just for luring from a distance, who cares about it's stats? You summon it, it hits the boss and you desummon or pull it back to follow you.

The Celestial Sting/Ethereal Inamorato look like the low level green cactus monsters, you've probably seen them.

I might have remembered wrong, but I thought it was one of those one-footed bird thingies, now I remember it's a different type of cactopod. I use a Celestial Sting and I only went to Eden twice seeing as I'm a Sage Veno, so I don't need to farm there or did my culti there.

Besides, at the point of the game I'm in I hardly ever have to lure. When I did, I didn't have FB89+ Pets to use.

So yeah, go troll more please about how others are wrong about how a trivial pet looks and contribute nothing.

They can easily be leveled on array guards in OHT and can be used on Harpies in FF (if you like to avoid getting hit). They're great for the heads in FF and the snowmen at xmas time. There may be yet undiscovered uses for them as well.

I guess they're alright for soloing ranged bosses or something and stuff like Harpies, but honestly, at this point in the game and the average levels I roll with, Harpies go down in a matter of seconds. Respawning my pet probably won't be worth the time for things like this. It's too bad underwater and ranged Pets don't get much exercise outside of FB69 and occasional luring.

do you ever think about pressing the post button, seriously?
anyway, there are lots of mobs in fb89 and nobody will do that mistake to confuse them and 2nd thing we have plenty of threads about ranged pets on veno forum... how can you not read them?

harpies arent a problem, i can solo w/o pet but a ranged pet is good at xp room where you have to kill heads. press atk on your ranged pet, tab for another target and you hit with your venomous or whatever. there you go, 2 targets in the same time.

People with a life that don't remember all the mobs names and faces will confuse them, thank you very much. As I said before, I've only been to Eden a few times (2-3 times maybe) for faction mates, wined runs, caught a Celestial Sting and murdered everything else and got the hell out of there. There are no other high level Venos on this server that I've ever seen using a cactopod-like pet and the guides about ranged pets on this forums do not seem to include pictures of said pets.

You act as if 95 is a hard feat that requires years of playing to an extent I know every mob name and pixel. My Veno and this server is only 3 months old and I'm the highest Veno around.

(you could have conveniently noted that from:

So kthxbye, now please get your uninformed **** out of here and go memorize pwdatabase or whatever it is you do on your leisure.

qq seems like i hit a nerve. i know when raging server was born and i know that most high lvls are just noobs like you since they only used CS to lvl up and never played the game... but you like giving advised even when you have no idea what are you talking about. whats the point playing a pve server when you avoid pve?

anyway, there are pictures. look at tweaks thread, unlike pwdatabase it has pictures and it has this pet too. another thing is, there is one ethereal inamorato near phlebo as a guard. if you go and lure guards (tho you can avoid killing all guards) for sure you cant miss that one so your fb89 experience might resume to 0 trips

I know what it looks like, I had just mistaken it's appearance. Again, mistaking one mob for another isn't a mistake that influences any advice given. I've given many valid answers across the forums. You just choose to troll and keep railing on one irrelevant mistake.

Also, it being a PvE server has nothing to do with my little visits to Eden. Eden is not interesting for me. There is nothing to farm there that spikes my interest and I'm not very active in the FB89 department in either way.

Not that I'm taking anything you say seriously, hiding behind a nameless avatar calling people noobs. GL with your further indexing and trolling of the forums.

I've been through FF in ~35m so I understand the point there. It's still at least worth summoning for the heads (I melee + shoot with cacto). Right after that is a Harpie in a Hall to Decaying Fragrance which if they bother to kill makes the cacto help a little with dd. Fragrance is the one boss that the barb is needed for and the Barb we took was awesome (also got us through Champion Mode Eden 9x for gold medals) but wasn't going to hold aggro against a Scorp with Claw on a [?] boss right off the bat so it could DD while I Soul Degen -> Amp -> Myriad -> Myriad -> Ironwood. So yeah, it's utility does dwindle at higher levels and the amount of XP needed to level it becomes insane but it is still useful in ways most other pets can't be. I wouldn't use a cacto for tanking bosses though.

@Esuna
its not only about eden, look at the other threads and see how many times ppl have to correct you. i've given more valid information on this forum than someone like you who just post wrong things or infos that were already known on forum. im not hiding, ppl on my server know who i am ingame... tho fyi behind this avatar is a cleric on LC and a veno on HL.
look at yourself kid, just a 3 months avatar and rushing near my post count and you call me a troll... indeed. its my only forum acount, created in the beginning of pwi as you can see.

poor me.. why? poor venos who listen to that one and get misinformed

If you wanna level your Nix really fast, rebind the Pet Attack key to something like 1 with the ingame Hotkey window (K), make sure it doesn't cast a skill by default and go do Staunch Worms outside of Raging Tide ([?] mobs with 300 life)

All you'll have to do is press Tab+1 every 3-4 sec, it's so fast.

I once took note of someone mentioning staunch worms for leveling nix. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thank you much for the heads up though b:cute
