Laptop Crashes While Playing PWI

Ok this has been going on since I first started playing the game (just last summer). My computer isn't the best out there since it's really only suppose to handle simple games (which it doesn't) and programs such as adobe (photoshop, dreamweaver, flash, etc).
I have DirectX downloaded and all my drivers up-to-date. I use ZoneAlarm for my firewall and set it to "Game Mode" before I start up the game, the game stays up from 5mins-6hrs as in sometimes it crashes my computer as soon as it loads, or it'll remain alright until it just randomly crashes a few hours after running it.
I don't mind restarting my computer each time it crashes, not lvling like I should, or even being able to have a decent conversation with a friend but I want to try and get this issue cleared up if possible
I've tried forums that deal with this sort of issues but no one has replied to my message for about a week so I came to the source of the problem, PW.

Overheating?I was early taught to work as well as play,
My life has been one long, happy holiday;
Full of work and full of play-
I dropped the worry on the way-
And God was good to me everyday.0 -
check your power options, turn down your CPU some (if on Vista/7) it requires you do to some math though, you need to know what your speed is if you modify these settings.I'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

Idk how to do the CPU thing, lol, but I did however upgrade from a 64-bit Windows Vista to a 32-bit Windows 7 recently.
And I use a small "kiddies" table whenever using my laptop when I wanna play in my bed other than that I use the coffee table, or the work desk, and my laptop has a rather large arch to it which gives enough space between the fan and w/e surface to let air come and go freely. So no overheating unless the gap is covered. Even so, my mothers laptop never crashed when it overheated, it usually just hibernated or warned me it was overheating and it's power down within a few minutes if the temperature did not change or was not adjusted.
Dunno if it'll do much help here but I'm also going to list what they requested of me from the other forums I've been to.
Good thing I saved the sticker that came on the box well here's what it says:
Intel Core Duo T5800 (2.0GHz, 2MB cache, 800 MHz FSB)
320GB Hard Drive; Used 262.2 on the OS(C:) and 4.66 on Recover(D:)
4GB Memory
Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100
Genuine Windows Vista (is now Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit)
Home Premium with SP1 (63-bit)
Zone Alarm(Firewall) Immunet(Anti-Virus)
My uncle bought me this computer so that I can play video games and do a lot of web design, I have PhotoshopCS3, IllustratorCS4, and DreamweaverCS4. Those programs did not come with the pack although he did ask for them to download them onto the laptop or add them with everything. Can't really say how many programs I have some share a folder within the "Program Files" under (C:) but I can always have a on-screen web cast if you like. I have aim pro so if you have an aol username feel free to add me and I can show you what's actually on my computer if I haven't listed everything needed. And I have cleaned my fan and within my computer. I've tried cleaning my CD/DVD drive as well but it's built inside the laptop and it makes it hard to get at and see inside of it.
That's pretty much all I can give besides the crash reports. And anything else you can guide me through. Also, I took my laptop into Best Buy's "Geek Squad" and they pretty much tore apart my laptop, ripped the face plate to it off (to get to the webcam) and made it so my keys (touch keys) that control the volume, media (Play, Pause, Stop, etc) and the eject button for CD/DVD drive. May not be important info but their trying to fix my computer could have further complicate things than they were. Seeing as how neither my webcam or built in mic work or my CD/DVD drive.0 -
under power options, make sure under ADVANCED it's set to at least 40% minimum, 100% max. the liklyness is that the CPU is not updating itself with PWI, thus is under the requirements requested once PWI runs. which would cause a crashI'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

Thanks for the help, but my computer just crashes faster now. I'll try and adjust the percentages till I find something that works. Or send another ticket to PW about this if they can help to any extent.0 -
well, if it's changing in any way something else is affecting it. perhaps a verify?I'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

I have sent a ticket > >; With all my computers information... I never got a response to it0 -
create the logs and post them here then? I strongly suggest NOT doing anything any other users would tell you to do, as they're probably not trained to look at them (hijackthis logs especially). GMs are, and I can (since I have been trained)
note: if your actual name is used as login information, the logs will show this, you can edit names out for your own privacy. A quick example. Workgroup: <original user>-PC mine would show Saik-PC and since that isn't my real name, I really don't care if it shows up everywhere, you might howeverI'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

Thanks, and I've been on a forums with the moderators there who were trained as well. But anywho, I don't use my real name for anything, not even my computer user name, etc etc. I checked to see if it showed even showed the Workgroup which it did not. I'll try resending another ticket, if they don't respond then, then I'll post the .txt files here.0 -
ok, sounds like a plan. either it'll be workign this week, or next week lolI'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

Ok.. No response to my ticket, all they answered was my query about email changes. Here's the files I sent them:

I used rapidshare (duh) so the links won't last for long.0 -

I don't see anything extemely out of the norm, so I'm just going to cover the basics first. we'll go from there:
1: have you updated your audio drivers?
2: have you updated your Graphics drivers?
3: if no to either of these, do so.
4: if that doesn't work we're going to touch the setting ini file and completely disable sound and see if it does. (this won't get you in trouble if you only touch the one I tell you, since the GUI does it too, but if it crashes before you can this is the way around it.)I'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

I've trade updating my drivers but for some odd reason, well I've only tried updating it after installing Win7, before that I've done it a couple of times but saw no reason to since vista basically destroyed it anyways. Can't use my CD drive, built in webcam/mic, the time/calendar is never right. But that's another story. Got any tips about updating it another way? Even when I go to the site, I can't even open the download manager for Dell. And the devices say they're all up-to-date which I highly doubt.0 -
you'll have to look up yor pc info from dell, and then hunt win7 drivers elsewhere (driverguide.com might have a few)I'm a guy, not a woman, that is all

Please make sure your laptop is on a flat, hard surface. Despite what the name implies, setting it on your lap WILL cause it to overheat when using it intensively. It seems like noob advice, but I make this mistake even today. It's just too comfortable playing PWI in the comfort of my own bed at night.
If you play with it on a desk, it's probably graphics related. Either the graphics card is overheating(may be just getting a bit over the "shut down PC" threshold) or it needs a driver update. It may also be going bad as well.0 -

Lol, I've said before I use a small kiddies table while using my laptop or the desktop in the family room. I've had it over heat while being on my lap, gave me a few marks to remind me never to do it again.
And I'll try to find those Win7 driver updates and get back at ya, and it things are just all breaking down on me I'm SUPPOSE to be getting a new computer with Win7 already on it. Either way I just want this thing to last me until then. Thanks.0 -

Ok I updated the drivers and even my motherboard. Well it helped a lot but my laptop still crashes. I'm thinking I need a better graphics card and more memory so thanks for helping, at least my computer doesn't crash every second, now I know how long it'll last before it crashes. b:cute0
