Hai.

Just some things I've found helpful when rolling to a new server.

Don't make a tideborn. Seriously, tideborn in PvE are useless and you'll regret it down the line. There will be tideborn, but if you're the average player, this option isn't for you. There will be tons of them, plunging you further into the depths of mediocrity and you'll just be good for PK.

Squad up! Factions and random squads are teh bestest for questing.

PeeKay! Wait, don't. Seriously. You're stuck there for 10 hours, then you get killed in the oracle line or at the quest spots. Blue names level faster, it's been proven.

Got gold? Forget packs, buy some essentials. A mount, spurs, wings, inventory stones, map, charms.

That's it as far as players. I'm sure there will be some red named assassins who never squad with anyone and walk everywhere, but once again, these are tips for the average player.

Factions!

Don't merge. Don't merge. Don't merge. Seriously, if your faction fails that hard, become a part of another, but don't try to retain any of the old; become the new.

Alliances. I've always been against them, but if you need them to survive, I suppose that's your business. I prefer a gentlemanne's agreement to not attack until necessary, it's less binding.

Be selective of who you recruit.

Chill out on officers. Start out with a few, and ease a few more into the job gradually. You may **** off a few friends, but if they're good officer material, they will wait.

Faction need upgrading? There used to be packs that gave 10 mirages, which were great for NPCing, but I guess you'll have to rely on Best tokens now.

    Infamy was the best faction I've ever been in. Infamy isn't good because they own half the 9x characters, it's the other way around. They own half the 9x characters because its a good faction.
