Aww, scammers =( Gratz on first post SwiftKitten btw =)

In my PWI experience, I only got 1 beggar (I was on my lvl 10 Bm), it was a guy in common chat saying that he needed 3k and he will give 20k in return. Then when I ran passed him he pmed me and said "Hey can I have 3k plz, I overbid on an Auction item, just need 3k and I''ll give you 20k in return.

Obviously, it was a no, the reason why Is that my bm is lvl 10 and hes lvl 20+, so I said "No, I don't have money" then he said "damn" and still asks for 3k in common channel, Im not sure if he really needs it but I would be happy if he would do something like help me on quests for about 1 hrs for that 3k cuz he should learn how to grind =P

Apart from that, I only got tricked once, in a different MMO, 2 guys were in team, 1 guy said, "Hey I can do what u did". I didn't really trust them, Hes like a lvl 18 (But there was no lvl cap in the game of which skills can be trained) but I went jealous and said "No you can't" then the second guy came and say "Yeah". Then he said that he can use it but got no runes to cast the spell, so I gave him a Law Rune and some other runes and he said I need a different stuff so I said to give me back the other stuff but those 2 just ran with my runes. Even so the rune can be gotten back, It costs about 350 which lvl 70 mobs would only drops 70 coins. I was so mad I can't report them, the game obviously has low on social cause every single server and almost every single 1 mins people will beg for coins. One said hey I will buy your cape for 2k coins, that would be a no (It wasn't mine was another guys getting begged) because the cape is not tradeable and if it was it would be worth at least 100k coins, I didn't mind that despite he was lvl 20ish, so I explained stuff to him and the other guy ignored him too and ran away. Then he became silent and didn't say a word. Probably he was pming the lvl 90ish guy like crazy amd ignored me b:shocked but Im still mad that I got scammed because I went really jealous =/

EDIT: And Im not really sure SwiftKitten, its probably because you have a level 51 Venomancer and you could not found the character? But answers will come eventually =)

I don't usually say anything back to them, I just find where they're at, and drop coins 1 at a time above their heads just outside of reach (usually they're nubs in city of the lost that can't fly).

I've been followed around by people begging for my wings/armour/coin and other randoms...
This is just going to happen everywhere you go. Only thing that stops them from getting on my nerves is BL =/

Funniest one was another archer around my lvl who must have been looking at my gear because he asked me if I would donate him my CrimsonHorn bow. To which I obviously couldnt help but laugh((the bow being bound to those who dont know)) . Made me think they had accumulated their lvls and gear through this begging or tailing method, for the fact that they know nothing about the items they are begging for.. or what bound means apparently >.>; ...

I also think I'd be more inclined to "donate" to people if they were actually putting an effort into their game play and just having a rough go. Some people get out of hand and downright rude and vulgar when they dont get what they want out of you though...

Blacklist is your friend in these situations I'd think xD

I ve asked for money twise and both times beeing a loan from a guildmate that I DID pay back within 2 days. Both times I had found something really underpriced at AH beeing short of a few 100k s, that was in my 6x.

That s very diferent from begging thought.

I ve never understud begging. allthought pwi has few of them compared to some other games. I was very high lvll in my previous mmorpg and had at least 10-20 begging requests every day from lowbies. My factionleader probably had closer to 100.

I never mall. Still it s faster to grind/farm mats and sell than I can ever imagine u would get from begging. So why the f*** do people begg. U can t really make lots of money doing it. Wouldn t it be more time efficient to just learn how to get money ingame. after all its not that hard.

oh. I think one of the reasons pwi is quite free from beggers is that, at least on the PvP server aren t that many outside of the cities/safezones for the obvious reason that if they spam u to much and get on your nerves you can just kill them.

I've been asked all kinds of dumb things like

"can I buy your wings for 1 million?"
"Can I have that ticket" (when I got a phoenix)

and fun things like losers asking for a relationship. b:laugh

I also have never come across beggers until last night
was flying through plume on my veno and some guy/girl called something like "I_am_bob" or "I_called_bob" or something about bob lol asked me for some spare coin to by wings
I just told him no as I had spent everything I had on getting my herc (which I had just named BOB...hence why I remember the bob part)
he actually just wished me luck rather than being mean so advised just getting on with his quests and selling his dq's ...this is what he had been doing but only managed 170k, I guess it can get frustrating seeing all those great things and not being able to afford them but just like real life....tough luck mate, your not having mine

also as for the faction invites someone mentioned...it annoyed me so much I decided it was worth paying out 100k to make my own to dump all my alts into.....no more faction invites b:laugh

I, too, have been asked for money, to buy people clothes, to give them MY clothes/armor and/or weapon, wanting to Trade (for what? Yeah, big scams) and been bad-mouthed when I told them to go do quests and grind and work for their money, like most people do. I have to admit though, no one has asked to buy my character, lol!

Just last night, in King's Feast, some barb I didn't know ran up and asked for a Trade. I said no, and ignored him, and set my whisper to AFK, so basically he was talking to himself. Then I logged off.

I get lots of Trade requests, Friend requests, and sometimes even Faction invites (even though I am part of a Faction). I say no to almost everything, if I don't know that person. Squad requests, depends on the situation, but if someone I have never seen asks to squad with me I say why? If no answer, then refused. I do like to help out people who obviously are legit in needing assistance with some mob, and I myself have had people offer to give me assistance with a quest or mob, which has been gratefully accepted.

Beggars just really annoy me! Iif they keep harassing you, screenshot them and report them!

Beggars are annoying...I remember once I was in Plume on my barb. I had my TT60 axes on, and was just standing there. Some little archer came up to me and just started begging the heck outta me. I just stood there and let him beg...and beg...and beg...then logged out for a few minutes and came back on to find him still there, but begging somebody else. When he saw that I had come back online, he began once more to beg me for money. I proceeded to pm him to go work for his own money, blacklist him, and take the pup to Arch. So yeah, I hate beggars...

Well since beggar was common on my country mmo . .

Once before i invited to play together on same net with my little sister friends.
One of them telling her experiences on playing, everything looks alright.

Then i found out her main money source is begging people money and scamming . . yet she proud of it and saying many people were stupid. b:irritated
She also like to scam people on mmo that need to pay voucher to play by selling fake voucher code in game.
(not worry if one of her friends or people around there were one of her victims ?)

I mean OMG . . what she might do in real world to make money ? b:surprised

Yikes...that might be something you might wanna bring up to somebody who has some influence over her. It would definitely be better to nip that little habit in the bud...wow...
