Same Name Database

I just read the announcement on the new server opening and it says that it will be sharing the name database as HT and Sanc (Westcoast PvE servers). I think thats totally messed up, as it denys those who wanted the chance to have original names to have them.

Pwi just seems to keep making bigger and bigger mistakes as they progress into the years. And for those of you who r gonna claim im QQing, just know that most likely the name youll want is gonna be taken if this does happen, so don't try and put down what im sayin to make urself look good. :)

    Why make such mini-drama about it lads, theres a very easy way to solve such microscopic problem. Its called "DELETE"! The act of removal given to those who seek erasion to their failed or succeeded material.

    Lol, i cant HAVE the name I want and even as it is, it takes a week to delete. So therefore that would put you 7 days behind everyone else.

    Oh sorry for not letting you clear about the sarcasm used on my previous post, ofc you cant just delete your char because of its name if you invested some time and dedication on it, etc. It is unfortunate for those who thought they could use their desired names but not be able to cause of this.

    Its all good mate, no biggy.

    I think they need to replace the ones makin the server and stuff, seems like they cant do their job that good. And for those who r gonna say, 'lets see you do their job' I would GLADLY do their job, cause the way PWI has become I could put the GM's to shame with not thinking with my wallet and instead thinking with my mind about how the economy for the players would be and allowing them to enjoy their game instead of being under constant stress on tryin to have better stuff.

    Lol, it would then defeat the point of them makin a new server. They made a new name database for RT, so WHY I ask WHY cant they make one for Arch?

    At sum point they will have to do it I believe, since there are already 3 pve servers in west coast. I mean, sanctuary and HT also share same name database from what I know. I dont believe they needed to open a new pve server with RT not being even halfway to being full, so I can only think they opened a new server thinking about the risks of it dying out.

    removed :P. I've been underinformed it seems.

    I'm not sure what the announcement means to reserve your names if they're sharing the same database though... I mean, any names likely to have been taken have been taken over a year ago.

    I hope I am too... but apparently the announcement says otherwise. Still worth a shot though. I'm not sure why they would be since Raging Tide's isn't.

    I didn't care enough to read most of this thread, but I'm 99% sure that the reason for sharing a name database is so they can merge servers later on down the road.
