No, this doesn't have anything to do with another similarly named thread. It's just the result of one of my many random thoughts. I was just going through my daily motions (not related to PWI) when one of these random thoughts came up. When we were kids, everyone wanted to be something. Some dream job that was there, waiting for us if we could just make it to adulthood. We didn't need to know what it was, we just knew that was what we wanted to be. So, let's all get together and share. What did you tell your parents you wanted to be when you grew up?



To start things off, I wanted to be a lobster man. And it's still something of a joke in my family that surfaces from time to time. b:chuckle

    I wanted to be a police officer, a teacher (don't ask b:surrender), a cartoonist/animator, a builder (I think that was my first actually b:chuckle) and probably one or two others I can't remember.

    My dad wanted/hoped I would be a chef or doctor....and my mum hoped I would have a job in forensic science.

    Pretty mad collection, no?

    Had quite a bit of animation experience in recent years though. b:victory

    Princess. That was my dream job as a child. After all, what little girl doesn't want to be one? It did get to be a problem when my schizophrenia surfaced; I actually thought I was a princess super hero.

    Nowadays I have more realistic goals, like being a theater actress, singer, wife, and mother. Okay, maybe not acting while the kids are little, but you get the picture.

    When I grow up, I want to be a..

    A person who actually speaks up for their rights in the community and keeps volunteering and helping people. I don't really care what job I want then I grow up (as long as I don't sit in an office for the next 30-40 years of my life *shiver*) but I want to make a difference in the community.

    I guess if I have to choose, I'd be an Olympic runner for long distance b:cute

    But then again, who knows what will happen xD Still in 8th grade so I have a few more years to go so yeah lmao

    I want to knock some sense into the inconsiderate jerks who force their lifestyles on everyone else (not gonna mention any specifics; too many of those topics are covered in red tape on the forums -.-)
    I used to wonder why I would have these scary dreams every month. About the wolf, who kept running through town. And as I wondered, I also thought about how I couldn't remember having those dreams before being bitten by this very big dog...

    well.. when i wuzz younger i wanted to be a princess first of all... i actually aspired to make a poison apple, kill ciderella, and marry prince charming.. and he wud nevar kno it wuzz me....b:sin


    Then i wanted to be an actress... never got to fullfill that dream, i started to but the producers wanted me to travel.. on planes... and i hate panes.... *shudder*


    then i wanted to be a public speaker from 6th grade to 12th i competed in public speaking.. never got to fullfill that either... but i do own a public speaking classb:pleased

    and then i wanted to be child care worker of some sort... that never happened, but i still hope to... maybe when my baby iz born i can make my own daycare :D (after he getz a little older of course)

    I wanted to be a singer as a child. Then I found out, I sucked. Next came veterinarian. Changed my mind and then wanted to be an author. Pursued that for two years by writing a 500 page story in handwriting, but then I lost it in seventh grade. Was undecided for about another two years and then this year I know what I want to be; an aviary veterinarian. Inspired by my two birds. x3

    I wanna be a radio DJ, vocalist/bassist/lyricist in non mainstream rockband, an actor (not actress) in movies or theatre, dubber in cartoons, artistic idiot who starts a wave.
    I wanna start a new religion where people are told to like eachother, listen to their heart and do good. Let everyone be what they wanna be.

    Probably my biggest dream was to be a Ghostbuster! b:chuckle My mom got me the toy pack, gun, badge and everything lol.

    The weirdest thing I wanted to be though was a bus driver! b:cool
    It was the giant wheel and all the buttons to push and levers to pull. And the bouncy chair! I remember putting my bike on it's side and using one of the wheels to pretend I was driving a bus lol. /facepalm
