Well alot of you are asking the same question and well here is a kinda good answer. What happens if Calamity takes the map? or Were not strong enough so why fight them?

Calamity, Equinox, Dynasty, Kindrid, Vanquish, HDT, what do these factions have that nobody else does? We have good loyal players, think most factions have that, cash players? All factions im sure have some sort of cash players. Well what could it be? Out of the 80 people Calamity or EQ toss up i would guess maybe 10% are what you could call " Cash Players " so why are they hard to beat? Can it be the lvl 100's and all there super high levels? Guess what each and every one of you can reach that lvl and strength just takes time, wont happen over night. They have been playing a long time they have experience which most of us are working on. None of these factions are unbeatable it just takes time, practice and a little patience. Nobody can start a faction and a week later expect to win TW it wont happen, it takes time to build a good strong faction with players who want the same thing. Calamity and EQ and Dynasty and Kindrid and yes even us at Vanquish are very competitive and enjoy a good fight. Territory war is all about fun and kicking butt and seeing just what you can do against other players. Owning land is great but thats not all there is to it, holding the land and fighting back and trying to take more land is what its about. Calamity is a strong faction as is EQ but guess what they are not unstoppable and want to have fun just like the rest of us. So build your charecter up get your faction stronger and join all of us on the playing field. Show us what you got and come give us a run for our money, thats what PWI is all about....

Good luck to each and every faction on the Dreamweaver Server show your stuff and come play with the rest of us.... b:laugh

Just wait until your factions' people start to hit lvl100...they will mostly leave for Eq and Cal because noone will be able to help them with their BHs, etc. Which then means there aren't enough lvl100s when the next batch gets there, and they leave as well.

Don't overestimate the loyalty of your faction...when it comes to having people to do level appropriate stuff with they will mostly leave. To be honest, I don't blame people too much that do this, as it may well increase their enjoyment of the game. It is just an unfortunate reality which will stretch your patience and gets in the way of your theory that other factions will catch Calamity or Eq.

Which is why it is important to have members who work well together and are active. More than likely with good recruitment and a solid leadership, your faction can grow together.

Also, no one faction does everything with only its own members. I know for bh100, a lot of times, I am running with a mixed faction group.

Just because a member works well with other faction members doesn't mean that they don't have higher ambitions. Many people use other factions as ladders to get into Cala, or EQ and why shouldn't they? That's how it works. Too bad it screws those "brewing" factions over in the process...

Another that draws high lvl people out of faction is territory, or the lack of. When Bushido had 3 lands, we could muster 80 people into TW with 20 people still on reserve and without land we struggle to get 40 because people jumped the ship. And why shouldn't they? If people want to TW, they have the right to be in a faction that can do it proper.

Well... still, all of that combined cannot stop us from trying, and we are doing great!! We just need to keep this progress up and we'll be up there once again someday. ^_^

Yes we will, because bottom line people who come to bushido no matter how long they stay and those who do stay have one thing in common! We know how to play together and we play together well.

People leaving for other factions is an unfortunate part of the game and often has made me sad at times to see certain members leave. But, it is still just a game after all and others join factions to learn, grow and meet others who know how to play the game and enjoy all that comes with it. (Okay, for me minus the drama, I do pervy not drama)

With the introduction to hyper stones I worry about the quality of players coming into the game and where the game will go next being that most of us are rapidly reaching 100+. Those who know how to play individual characters or after you have perfected your personal character I don't see a problem with hyper stones outside of the fact that I think it will eventually lead to the servers collapsing upon themselves with the current market in game and RL atm. But now a barb can be level 80 in 2 days and OMG I don't want him on my FC run with me. Cuz really....you have to know what your doing in your classes folks. Really we squishies DON'T like dying, even though I do look cute when dead. (lol) Okay, gonna shut up now cuz I clearly had no sleep. Shhhh dont tell...Zumi will yell at me. (their always yellin at me for stuff lol)b:shocked

yeah... hyperstones have created a lot of crappy players. im seeing 9x+ ppl not know refine is, or that storage can be upgraded for free etc. also, the quality of smart players in the top 3 factions has dropped a bit. last cala vs eq fight and cala vs dynasty fight, i was seeing a lot of ppl suicide on spawn towers since it was their first tw.

But the thing is without experience you cannot really get "experienced".

Yes, I agree, hyper stones have brought players with little to none knowledge of their class or awareness of the game. But you're missing the point of Hyper stones to begin with.

1-They cost money, which implies a person is willing to "invest" in his game experience. More likely players that went boom 100 in less than a month also have endgame gear or enough coin to buy their TT90s set and such.
2-They still demand some sort of grinding effort, even if its just FC, Grinding or zhenning. You still click skills, read guides (hopefully), learn chains and interactions just like any other player.

This brings you back to the main point of the post by TroubleDD. Calamity and Equinox didn't just "go pro" and achieved it by pure hoping. Their players became well aware of plenty of TW/PvE/PK tips, tactics and tricks mostly by almost 8-12 months of TW/PvE/PK against/with each other as well as guidance from other server experiences. As the game and the players involved constantly change, people quits, change servers, new classes come out, genies come out, new skills are involved, etc... it is the duty of each and every faction to keep a "fresh" introduction to your own system and strategy. I know Calamity had guides and players devoted to study and player introduction to the TW system, mostly wrote and based on what was our own experiences back then. Equinox has people like this too, you can see posts made in archer forums by Illyana or Cheeze for example talking about their findings on archer stuff.

When I joined Calamity (June 2009), the first thing I was told was, at your level, we're doing RB Gamma, check this guide out. You should also check this guides on refining, your class and this discussion of skills and sage or demon paths in PWI forums. Before that, I also didn't had a clue of how refining work. To the point I had enough orbs but didn't know I still needed mirages anyway =/
