Make dungeon maps USEFUL.

I just think it'd be useful if dungeon maps were like the ones outdoors. This would shave more time off in BHes, and if we got lost we wouldn't be running around like idiots trying to find our squad. Plus, a feature to show monster patterns would also help - this way, no one gets ambushed by Fushma while fighting Rank.

The minimap shows monsters on it, and you can see when mobs and bosses are walking your way.

Yeah, but that doesn't help quite as much with squad members. If your a cleric and die, you'd have to have a really good knowledge of the layout of the instance, and where your party is, otherwise your going to have trouble finding them. I fully support this idea, and wonder why they made the instance maps the way they did in the first place.

I like the mini map to see where mobs are and where theyre walking to, but i would like a pointer on the map itself to show me where i am on the map. Im pretty much a map dislecticb:chuckle, so it would help to have a pointer that says where i am, after that i could figure out where to go lol.
    My caracters:
    Faith_z - 7x Cleric (main)
    HaveFaith_z - 5x Veno
    Ivory_Soul -3x Psychic

Dont give me an attitude, I got one of my own!

I agree. When pressing ''M'', we should see squad members. Maybe a point to see where the entrance is toob:surrender

This would make it less like a real map.If u run instances enough,u will know where the monsters are. This is just gonna make those idiot oraclers and Hyper EXP-ers more stupid

    I agree...

Just cause you suck at reading a simple map doesn't mean the game should be stupified*. This game is pretty easy as it is... b:embarrass Come on... It will take you a few secs to open google & search up map guides on dungeons... How much simpler do you need it to be?

What you are asking for could be released as a Botique item - Dungeon Compendium Scroll.

Well, it's a matter of making them useful or getting rid of them, and it makes more sense to keep them and make them useful. And I do NOT 'suck at reading a simple map'. Neither do I appreciate the fact that most of you think that this suggestion is just me being lazy. If they're not going to serve any purpose other than to sit there and show obscure pathways, why have them?

Well to be honest, I think the maps are fine as is. They might not have a tracker on it that follows your every movement, and they might not detail the mobs paths, but they're what they're supposed to be - maps.

When you flip open your road maps, they don't have trackers saying "YOU'RE HERE". They just show paths and destinations. Perhaps that could a modification instead of a tracker dot? Just locations of bosses perhaps?

I used to have trouble comprehending them and never bothered, but I think I've got them figured out, at least a little now.

It just takes a little orientation and then it's pretty useful :)

Why is it I can read them fine & find them quite useful. Yes when I'm inside a dungeon 1st time it will be hard & take a while, especially if there are guardian mobs that open pasage ways like in Abbadon. I remember 1st time we did Abaddon for a guildie entire squad of noobs. We spent two hours there rofl. b:chuckle Still couldnt find stupid mob (lol fox guard) that opens the Tree boss rofl. & then all died on Phys Immune boss. Yes it was challenging, but at least we had fun... in a very masochistic kind of way... Next time when I went with an exp member I tried my best to look at the map & memorize where what was. All part of the game
If they're not going to serve any purpose other than to sit there and show obscure pathways, why have them?
Try learning to read them perhaps?

True the maps in dungeons are pretty useless. But checking around the corner and down the hall for fushma, that's what sins are for.
