Do most of you venoes don't like fox form... why?

I have only seen 1 useless skill to me for veno so far. Which is called "Crush vigor" which is only useful for PVP but you can't see chi. How can a venomancer not like using fox form?

Fox wallop is a very very very nice skill

Same as leech life... I never knew venoes could tank with arcane armor b:shocked

    I'm not a big melee fan, really. Leech is good every now and then, though. :)

    Most of us do use Foxform quite frequently.

    And Fox Wallop is not that good...

    how you say so?

    It makes channeling speed ALOT slower. My daughter's veno could make the casters have 134% channeling... thats like almost half slower than usual... On top of that, me and her tested it. I used my wizard to test her fox skills in duels, most of all, cooldown is same as duration. befudding mist is also great too. And stunning blow, seems only good for them kiters b:laugh


    My wizard used morning dew, 4.5 second channeling... her fox wallop made me cast it for 6.03 seconds.

    It may be used in duels but not in PvP. Two good reasons; It consumes 20 chi and is not that useful when compared to Amp and Purge. Wizzies can use Sutra.

    Guess it's a matter of personal choice. Stunning Blow and Leech are my Foxform bread and butter...

    Sage Soul Degeneration, Purge, Amp, Stunning Blow, Myriad Rainbow, melee mastery, fox form -all very useful and used often!
    I also have sage consume spirit, fox wallop, befuddling mist - all which I could live without.
    Be kind: Help the GMs to depopulate the servers.

    demon fox skills i plan on getting....

    demon foxform - have it
    demon fox wallop, 20% to make all hit critical for 5 secs
    demon stunning blow, 50% chance to stun enemy for 5 secs
    demon leech, steals 800 life 80% chance
    demon purge 25 sec cooldown, as opposed to 30 secs
    demon amp lasts 6 secs longer
    demon crush vigor, this skill doesnt really come useful till you get the demon version. (50% chance to gain 1 spark)
    also getting demon mellee mastery

    fox skills i have now

    amp lvl 10
    purge lvl 10
    fox wallop lvl 10
    befuddling mist lvl 10
    stunning blow lvl 7
    leech lvl 5
    consume spirit lvl 3
    crush vigor
    myraid rainbow
    malefic crush lvl 1

    I mostly use mist and leech, especially aoe grinding. If i draw aggro from a mob, switch to fox form and use mist and leech till its dead.

    I'm starting to use foxform more and more now. Not just for amping.

    The mana and life stealing skills are yummy.

    Not having access to a spammable damage skill, not having ironwood handy and having to get way up close... not so yummy.

    The channel reduction is nice on a few bosses, but doesn't last long enough to be a reliable interrupt-alike. And your main tank will hate you for messing up their timing.

    I'ma heavy Melee'r with great Phys attack and heavy DPS in fox form, and I will say, that MANY venos rely on the damage of their casting versus their physical attacks. Its mostly personal preference. I livei n Fox form during TW and TTs. Casting is secondary to me, however Arcane Venos aren't as good for Fox Form as Hybrid or Heavy Build ones are. Their physical attacks aren't as strong as mine (which is 6k unbuffed on the high end) in Fox form with Sage Melee Mastery.

    I use foxform mainly in instances to amp mobs and sometimes leech.
    also increased magic resistance mobs can get me into fox form. Just like when luring certain bosses.
    fox form is usefull and I do use it :) just not as often as I play caster. I hate getting up close to mobs. Also I'm vit/mag build. so my damage in foxform is b:cry

    Same to me. I finally realized how good leech is in getting back some lost hp. I usually just go foxform when I have to amp and regain some hp with leech. Sometimes I'll drop a befuddling mist. I'll have to level purge later on in my life....

    Just pop foxform when I need to use one of the foxform skills; otherwise its all caster. Can't hood in foxform = big no no. Can't use NG or MB in foxform either, which sucks, not to mention losing your spammy skills. Your equips are also locked, not good.

    Oh and put your cursor on your weapon and hit a mob - keep hitting it and looking at the weapon's price/durability. Ouch.

    I use fox form to switch it up when I grind. It gets boring using ironwood and venomous all the time or to grind fox form all the time. Grinding in fox form isn't that expensive since your herc/pet should still be tanking the damage. 1 hour my repair bill is around 8k for fox form grinding and it'll get higher as I change gear but not by too much. 1 hour caster form my repair bill is around 1.5k . Meh, I'm willing to lose 6-8k coin for my amusement when I'm making around 150-220k coin just messing around.

    I think fox form is alright I even went heavy to help with the damage. This char is just for fun for me and not to be hardcore serious.
