More Then One Mastery?

Hello, im a lvl 46 Fist BM and i have been looking into spliting into another weapon tree, many people say axe and fist are a bad combo but there is some aoe in axe that (with a wep change back and forth) could be a good combo with fists.
I am simply looking for opinions on what other weapons to look into, so Axe, Pole, Sword?

    I dun think its a bad combo because:
    -->U can fist for chi then start ur stunlock or dragon on axes, which is kinda a good combo in pvp
    For me, i think axes is a must for all bm
    axes have lots of aoe skills which is rly usefull in pvp and pve
    Example: axes bm is better than any other bm in a Frost run
    Also w/ axes, u can aoe faster which will make u ding faster

    Yes when you start doing RB's and Frost runs you'll see the benefits of being an axe bm.
    I use all 4 paths Pole>Axe>Swords>Fists in that order.
    I maxed Heaven flame (for my lvl i think its 7 or 8) just because the amp is amazing and invaluable in many situations.

    What idiots told you that axe and fist is a bad combo?

    its the very best combo for an endgame BM.


    However at your still very low level, i would not be trying to split paths, you will run into serious SP and Coin problems..
    I don't recommend BMs going multi-path till at least 8x.

    My BM went all 4 paths from the beginning. I had underleveled skills and could barely afford decent equipment and repairs until I started merchanting a bit. Most of my skills are still underleveled due to SP. Stick with 1 or 2 paths (at most) until you're much higher level.

    I'd say that you should at least keep heavens flame leveled though (when you reach 59). Use your fists to build chi and drop HF on bosses every chance you get, then switch back to fists.

    I would recommend axe as main till 80 and start maxing fists then. Main reason being axes are needed in rb and frost and almost every other instance that requires a bm. However, axe dps becomes really bad at 80+ but fists become the #1 dps weapon out of ALL classes. Not a single class can match the dps of a fist bm with interval gears, so axe+fist combo is probably the best for bms to use.

    I actually found using fists and/or swords for solo questing easier than using axes. Fists aren't reliant on skill spamming for DPS so I save on MP pots and the chi gain let me use diamond sutra as soon as it finished its cooldown so I save on HP pots as well. Poles were much safer for AoE grinding compared to axes since I only had 5 vit and ran around uncharmed but if I had either more vit or a charm then I definitely would use axes instead (safer doesn't mean better).

    The only time I use axes is when I'm in a BH and feel the urge to aggro everything I see (strange how that only happens when I play my BM). The stuns are also nice and, as I mentioned in my previous post, HF on bosses is godly (I still remember the first time I used itb:dirty).

    I am 4-way, but mostly use Axes and Fist, so first lvl's I would rather use fist than Axe due fist ability to get single target down fast(at lower lvl its almost pure suicide to AoE) and I would still use it as primary for everything but AoE(for that its Axe). With fist there is no need for skill spam but repairing them is nightmare. Also I too would vote that combination as the best duo path BM can do(4-way though might be nicer at later IF you can get coins and spirit for it) for 1 good thing in Axe/Fist is that you only need 2 skills maxed on fist tree(Mastery and Cyclone) leaving you coins and spirit to work on Axe side.

    been axe/fist since lvl 30 recently added swords and poles

    just use 2 paths till you feel you have enough spitit for 3-4 no reason to use only 1
    Gifs are hard to make work here

    How is dual pathing as a fist master at all difficult? Cyclone isn't even worth using/leveling for quite a while, so all it costs is fist mastery. Shadowless is left lvl 1 for a while to keep it cheap to use. What else would you spend your SP on? May not have maxed for lvl axe skills, but can keep them pretty highly leveled and max Heaven's Flame to lvl very easily later on.
