Critical Hit!

So, from what I've read, my veno, being a level 34 LA and thus having decent dex, should have an okay crit rate. But my crit rate is only 2%. Any tips on how to improve that number?
PLEASE, for the love of all that is chocolate. If your advice involves me spending IRL money on this game, save us both the trouble and don't bother. And before you tell me to suck it up and get a job, I have plenty of money, for me it's the principle of the matter. I will be the best, and without spending a dime. Thank you for your time.

    Sounds about right. 20 dex = 1% crit. Really the only way to increase it is to add dex (not recommended because you won't have enough mag to go around) or find items that have +crit on them (which I still wouldn't recommend at your level because they can be pricey.)
    It will go up as you level. By 90 you should have around 5%, not to mention a few +crit items I'm sure. You'll never have as much as an archer/sin/bm, but meh.

    Building a good crit rate is not easy. If you want LA to pay off then you will have to spend a lot of coin to purchase gear with a crit bonus. And as you can expect, that gear comes at quite a price.

    At a low level (below 90) you should not expect a reasonable crit rate. I had about 7% crit when I was 90, mostly from dex alone. It only shot up when I got to 95, and spent a lot of my coin on event gear with crit bonuses.

    If you are confident you can put a lot of time into this game (or spend real money) to aquire such gear then LA may be a great build for you. If not, then I suggest you restat to another more practical build, not hard at your level.

    As for never having a crit above archer/sin/bm ... my current crit is nearly 25% when buffed with leaf dance. I intend to make it around 33% by endgame. Might not be higher, but still nothing to scoff at.

    you can always search + crit gear/tomes later on ;)
    besides going LA the above is the way to go for your crit rate without screweing up your build ;)

    I personally hate critting sometimes...

    I have 5% crit rate at L99 with only 5 points into dex, a dex arrow, and who knows how many dex pts from my gears, not that it matters. My demon masteries give me +2% to my crit rate anyway. I crit often enough without ever needing dex. =)

    A dex arrow? You mean crit arrow?

    Crit arrow does nothing; it was confirmed in a test and by GMs ages ago.

    The crit arrow thing was pretty thoroughly tested a year ago. It does nothing unless you have a bow equipped. The extra % you see in your stats is just a display bug.
