    I've stated in my previous post I only do so for bosses. Oh, and to question this I would also guess that another means of "exploiting" the game is if a venomancer goes into fox form, has their nix out, puts it on defend, goes afk near mobs, that is also an exploit? Since, they would also gain experience/spirit from being afk. I've seen it done quite a few times in my server with level 150 (aka [?]) mobs.

    There's nothing wrong with holding down a button, as long as you're actually at your computer.

    I use bf to jam my buttons :P

    I dont use macro's so far, I like to be in control (yea i know, bad habbit), wich was a pain in the butt on rebirth Alpha when i didnt get a break at all to pee or whatever.. so bf stepped in from time to time to gimme a minute lol

    So its allowed to lock ur key with whatever (finger, or somethign stuck in the key) as long as u sit watchign it?

    what about that leaving pet at the spot and go away? I mean many coudl use that almost like booting. But also heard of it saving someone else being afk while protector had to be afk. =/ so is that allowed?

    Happened to me on veno a few times while cooking and having pet out, it saved my ****.. Tho it gets very unhappy and grumpy when not being fed for a while, and it could occasionally use a heal too, so I don't think it is a real option to exploit.

    As was said, you need to be on the computer, otherwise it counts as an exploit.

    And honestly, I don't see the point of jamming down a button while actually being on the computer. Anyone want to enlighten me on that one, since it totally screams "I'm gonna go afk now, yay for free exp!"?

    have you ever had a herc and soloed instance bosses? ... whats a veno do when they can only spam heal? spam heal. so why should i sit here and hold a button down with my finger for 15 mins? thats not even really playing to me. ... instead, i can jam a pen cap in the heal button, then click on skills like Myriad rainbow, genie skills, mp pots, apoco pots, etc... anything that doesnt require me to stop healing.

    lol, I was going to ask the same thing. Afterall, if you're spamming the heal pet button (holding it down), there really isn't anything else to use your hands for.

    Really, if holding down the button and therefore killing the boss isn't really playing the game for you, then what is? Not holding down said button and going away while your herc, say, kills a world boss? Or going to the living room to watch a movie, moving the veno every X minutes while in a solo TT?

    eh both IH and pet heal cannot be put into a continuous macro. they'd have to be separated to allow for cooldown. but for boss's you cannot always have something else in-between heals as it would let barb/pet die. And in honesty it does get really boring, or hands can get tired holding down the same key.

    I use the little red hose from my can of compressed air, and jam it in the corner holding down the "3" key, which is my pet heal.

    pet heals cant be spammed by macros :'(

    just have to put a fingers on keyboard, and wait.

    I often have 3-4 pc's to manage in instances, if I'm soloing it, or doing it with my girlfriend. Jamming keys helps a ton on bosses, because I only have 2 hands, but 4 keyboards....

    Keyboard #1, Cleric > Jam F1 for Iron Heart spam on barb.
    Keyboard #2, Barb > Jam F1 for flesh ream spam on boss.
    Keyboard #3, Veno > Jam F1 for continuous venomous scarab on boss.
    Keyboard #4, BM > Press F1 once, and he attacks continuously

    Roll a:

    1)Cleric and heal a tank for a TT boss or 1 of those bosses with +1mil hp.

    2)A veno and do the same.

    Then, u can bash us.

    Healing macros do not work neither with Pet heal or IH.

    Srsly, when u r unable to do anything but heal the tank at a boss, after 4 min, fingers start to hurt and brain starts to explode.

    If the result is the same if im sitting at the computer pressing a button or jamming it so i can grab some food, go to the toilet or watch TV, then what is ur fvkin problem???? Srsly, we clerics are doing a enough sacrifice burnin our mana to do UR bosses.

    If u rly want me to stay looking at the screen pressing a button, ur a freakin selfish QQing jerk.

    Wow, didn't expect this thread to upset so many people o.o. Like the GM said, as long as the player doesn't go afk, it should be fine, and tbh, you never know what's going to happen in the middle of a run while tanking a boss, AFk'ing is generally a bad idea. I guess it just saves the pain of holding down the same key over and over again; if you don't believe me, try this, click on reply, then hold down the key Q for 5 minutes, it gets annoying after a while.

    And it isn't as easy and care-free as it might seem, if anyone else has done this, they'd confirm this; when you jam down a button like that, maybe it be a knife or a coin (can someone teach me this? I've never figured out the coin trick, the coin just comes out >_<), once you press another key, you have to let go of the key thats being jammed and redo it. So for me, when I have to use nature's grace to recovery MP, I'd have to reset up my gig.

    you archers got it pretty easy eh..
    you dont have to hold down a button to auto attack. You can go afk pretty easy lol.
    Whats stopping all the melees and archers from not going afk with auto attack? and who says they dont?

    I lag too much to trust pinning down the key. When I have to spam heal my pet, I always constantly hit the key to make sure it does its job.

    FYI: When I'm just spamming heal and can't do other things, my finger arm starts to hurt after holding it in the same position for X amount of minutes, so I jam it. And usually when I know the boss will take a while, I start watching some of the shows on TV.

    And doesn't this apply for ARCHERS as well? They can just use their normal skill on the boss after they've sharped it and then walk away from the computer for X amount of minutes. Wouldn't that be exploit as well?

    Well I try to start out with full chi, but even with jamming keys I often have to unjam it and do bestial rage on the barb, or send a spark from the veno, but its not too hard to just re-jam it. Sometimes I'll just hold it with my finger, if I know I'll be needing to do that a lot.

    I've seen a lot of archers at astral in 2-2 going up on chain, starting to atk, and then go afk.
    while I was healin my herc, and while I heal I either cant write to other squad members.
    So, why shouldnt I let something hold the button for me?
    Also if pure magic...My 7k+ mp go down, so I've to recover them, and cant go afk for more than 5 minutes. But...
    What can I do if I've to go to toilet or opening the door?
    Let the herc die, then me...
    this should mean that when I play I cannot do all the other things I use to do if someone comes to my house or if I've to do something in toilet.
    And well, it's a game, not life. And 30 or more minutes holding a button with my finger while solo 3-1, it's not a good idea.

    I tried using my friend's veno to tank a TT boss(can't rmb which one) but my finger hurt after that 5mins of holding down the heal button.

    I'm one of those rare archers who don't go afk after auto atking,mainly because of a certain incident which lead to a squad wipe.
