    It's a great skill to use, probably the best ult in PvE. I also like to use it in combination with sleep in pk, since i got enough channeling to get it off in less than 4 sec. It is our only stun, and being hit by a wizard ult and stunned for 6 sec afterwards means trouble. Keep in mind, that it does almost the same damage as BIDS.

    What do you mean why? It hits almost as hard as the dragon and has stunning effect. A far better choice in a sutra combo.

    this is one of the skills that used correctly makes a wizard OP endgame: 5 or 6 seconds stun (Can't remember).
    PvP: Seal - Sutra + poke +MS - whatever after.
    TW: (Sutra if needed) + MS (everyone stays put waiting for ...) + 2 spark pot + Sage BIDS. Be prepared with Printscreen button, it might be epic b:victory

    if Sage BIDS procs there is almost no need for anything else.
    And the OP asked about MS. I used it many time to keep people in one place while channeling BT/BIDS depending on the majority of stunned classes

    well, at lvl 59 I would take BT if I had to choose from the BT, MS, BIDS.
    Stun on MS at lvl1 is almost non factor, but you finally have a skill (BT) that you can do Phys dmg with.

    i dont leveled till 8x.

    idk but only after i got my 3rd spark point i used often,before that not really.

    now i live when i run out, sutra->divine->ms and a group suddenly stunned b:laugh

    most fun when u are chased example in arena or tw and enemy in 1 group and 1 bm or somebody run 1st and enemy concentrate to him and u suddenly do this surprise .

    It hurts like hell, and if you survive the hit you're stunned. Why wouldn't anyone use it?. (obviusly I prefere BT if my main target is squashys)

    There is a different usage for MS. I see most of the PVE servers leveling it up and using it. While the PvP server usually get 1 level and keep it there till they got enough coins and spirit to blast it up to level 10.

    MS takes 1 second longer then out sleep lasts. Which could result in a stun or sleep from your opponent. I always use BIDS or BT depending on my target. All LA and HA gets hit with BIDS after undine. All AA are hit with BT. A BM that just alter marrowed i hit with BT :P

    In TW it's nice to drop it and hope that it procs, because then you have a nasty stun that will let you pull of a BIDS....

    before the 99 ulti's MS and BIDS are the same. MS stuns and BIDS slows. after 99 you use BIDS no matter what :P

    yea i was thinking in these lines b:surrender why stun if i could use BT or sutra to killb:surrender wount it be better to save the money and spirit for other skills or equipmentb:shocked

    Very good skill to use and VERY underrated.

    Damage is on par with Ice dragon.

    Well, unless people are ignoring the grandiose animation to BIDS, that probably wouldn't work <_<

    Mountain seize is an incredibly useful skill. I've found that if you use it after the BM stun wears off in FF runs, no one in the party will even get touched.

    Demon MS is extra nice in TW for the +5m casting range.
    Sort of like an intercontinental ballistic missile.

    I'm sure if you said ICBM, people would know what you're saying. XP If you go sage, there's a fifty percent chance that it will cast only using one spark- which is half that of BIDS. You can't just say that BIDS is automatically better than everything just because it's an instant TW wipe lol.

    My father deals with weapons regularly, so I often use abbreviations. I see your point though. >_<

    Sage BIDS is a powerhouse, yes, but I'd prefer to send off a MS to stun them and then nuke the survivors with a BT. If there are any left after that, my sage pyro can pick them off and give me another possible spark to send off my sage BIDS. I'm used to not having the spark pots, so I'm just attacking this from a newbie's perspective lol.

    Trust me. As soon as you get sage bids you WILL use it in tw no matter what. :P And since I have enough channeling to cast MS in less than 4 sec, I often use it for a stun lock in one on one. It really has it's uses ;)

    Stun lock implies chain stunning. . .which wizards can't do.

    Anyway, you guys are all talking about sage BIDS as if demon isn't a viable option. Demon MS is probably better than Demon BIDS because the stun on MS (and the range) > 20% chance for a max of 199 chi on BIDS.

    Blah blah blah Sage BIDS blah blah.

    Might as well rename the forums Sage Wizard forums rather than just Wizard forums.

    If you define stunlocking as keeping someone unable to move till he dies, then it works. :p

    It's not my fault demons don't post here btw, and I logically have more experience with sage aoes than with demon ones.

    My choice for Sage/Demon was made for me when my friend gave me a free Sage BIDS book under the condition that I eventually use it.

    No, Stone rain demon have 20% chance to stun.


    In TW this skill is good when your team is in trouble. They can attack without problem a couple of seconds.
