Why is the game screwed to hell?

I would actually say it is better. I played last year too, and then I quitted. It wasn't so fun. But then the tideborn came out and I started a new char, and I'm still playing on him. The gold prices will fall and go up, like right now it is under 300k for ONE gold. Last time I checked it was 500k. And you can still meet great random people you can talk to. If you are having a hard time finding those, try a faction. I have fun chatting with them.

if you dont like the game, dont play it! simple as that!

If u wanna play for fun, its pretty much the same thing, if not better, since many things have been added... new classes, instances, genies, etc


If u wanna 'play to win', then yeah, be prepared to charge a sheetload of gold until u have all the uber gear that anyone with a credit card can have nowadays

It started with the Anny Packs. Ever since they came out, the game hasn't been the same since. PWE got too greedy.

the last mmorpg i came from took fixing non broke things to a max..... they have been fixing unbroke stuff for 10 years now.
Its a fact that all onling games become easyer/ more broken as they get older

It really all depends on how you play the game. I have been continuously playing this game for over a year and I still enjoy it. I enjoyed meeting some cool people and just doing my own thing.

Yes, I would have to agree that since the anni packs have past their initial release month, and still carried on for a couple more months and manifested itself later on as "lucky coral", which have of course created a shall we say, negative impact on the virtual economy. The C.S. system has basically allowed more access to people who want some of the "best" weapons, armor and a few vanity items.

My point is this, this game is not fun for you if you are obsessed with getting the "best" gear and worrying about your virtual coinage. You don't have to be "the best". Have your own style of gameplay, meet some cool people on your quests and such, and don't worry about all your stats and virtual coinage...it's still possible to have fun on this game without spending a dime on rl money. b:laugh

Personally, i agree with the OP, to an extent. The price of gold, the quality of many of the new and/or more verbal players, and the fact that the devs havent done any serious bug-fixing recently, sucks. The new classes, dailies, and some of the items released in the CS over the last few months, i actually like.

In my opinion, all the bad **** cropped up when the Anni packs were first released in September. Now, i dont think tokens are evil, or anything like that, but the fact that, with tokens, you can essentially purchase end-game gears and levels, really bugs the **** outta me. Prior to Anni Packs, if we saw someone with TT90/99 gear, we were all like "oh man, thats so cool." Now, everyone thinks "damn, how much did he spend to get all that?"

IF we saw gold over about 125-150k in the AH, most ppl wouldnt even touch it. We'd laugh, and buy some at a lower price. Now, if someone sees gold for less than 300k, its usually gone in a few seconds. Hell, i can remember when gold was 100k, gold charms went for roughly 400-450k, and if you wanted to sell something from the CS to someone else, you just took the number of gold the item cost, and multiplied it by 100k. Now, a 5 gold item can run more than 1.5-2 mil, and youll be lucky to find gold charms for UNDER 1 mill. Anni packs have been gone for months, Coral Packs were only here for a week or 2, and gold is STILL over 300k on both Dreamweaver and Heavens Tear.

Because its so easy for ppl to buy levels and gears now (well, not now, seeing as Anni/Coral packs are no longer in the CS, but up to a few months ago), most new ppl didnt bother to really learn their class. Theyd just whack away on the same mob for hours on end, and once they hit 40+, run the same instances with the same ppl everyday. As a result, a lot of the newer ppl are rather inflexible in their thinking. To a lot of them, a barb is the only tank, Wizs/Venos/Archers are the only decent DDs, Clerics MUST heal or theyre ****, and BMs are just flashy meat shields with no real benefit. (Ive purposely left out the Sins and Psys, as everyone is still figuring them out) As a result, when an older player says "Hey, i know a BM who can tank this," some new players say "Hell no, a BM cant tank. only Barbs can tank." Or when an older player rolls an alt, they sometimes end up with 'Higher Levels' who just end up getting everyone killed needlessly when theyre trying to run an fb or bh. I cant even begin to count the number of lower lvl clerics ive seen who totally ignore Ironheart, because it doesnt heal someone instantly, not realizing that it stacks on itself. Some continue to ignore it, even when an older player tells them how it works.

As for my earlier comment about the more verbal players, it used to be that any 'WC drama' was short lived, or not meant in a derogatory manner. The drama was done to poke fun at ones friends a little. Nowadays, it seems like 2-3 ppl end up in a WC pissing contest every hour or so. They cant take it to whispers, or drop it like adults, no, they have to force EVERYONE currently online to listen as they shout back and forth like 5 year olds (Yes, i know about the blacklist, but hey, it gets full after a certain number of names). Its incredibly annoying. I really do miss the days when i could find a couple of friends and just goof off. We didnt have to grind, or quest, or do instances, we'd just hang out online. If we did do instances, everyone knew beforehand who got what. If someone died, we'd laugh about it later. But, sadly, i think those days are pretty much over for good.

Personally, i do wish that the devs (or whoever the bloody hell came up with these packs) had made it so you could NOT purchase lvls and endgame gears with them. All the other stuff, i have no problem with. The gems, the mounts, the equipment tags, all of it, i have no problem with.

Sorry for the wall of text (i know 99% of you wont even read it more than a quarter of the way thru), but this happens to be my opinion on the matter.

I knew once anni packs came it was a flood gate. And i wasnt here for coral packs, guess i didnt miss anything. I also think the Tabs for mounts and such were cool , it was nice , but handing out endgame gear is a joke. My faction mates wonder why me with my **** gear and my lvl 62 wiz wont take a free arbor and i tell them its because the only thing I have left in this game is the personal pride of doing for myself. OF self acomplishment.

Graphics havent changed much in the six months i was gone bud, I do think they added a few details here and there, and Im sure some of the mobs got bigger , but otherwise its the same.

I would ask you to check your settings in game and make sure your playing on the right level.
Maybe turn on the customizations tab...

You may be thinking, "Why the hell are you commenting? Your a lowbie." I'm not a lowbie by the way. I started in November and had fun. I just started the character to start all over.

We all know Anniversary Packs suck. Oracles too. Tideborn are useful...

Turn up your graphic's and try the game again, the graphics are beautiful to me.

Not all games can be perfect, there are good things and bad things, in other words gets over it.
