So who else plays every class?

So I've been playing PWI for a little over a year now, and I really like it (despite all the bs with recent sales etc.). On the Dreamweaver server, i have one of every class, ranging in levels from 5 up to 80. Yes, i'm well aware that had I stuck to one character, I'd be 9x or so like so many of my friends, but I enjoy learning about the different classes and playing from different perspectives. Besides, doing the same thing all the time gets boring. This way, i can mix it up and play what i'm in the mood for. So here are my current levels and why I enjoy playing each class. Feel free to post similar info for ur alts. (BTW, I'm putting these in lvl order, highest to lowest)

Venomancer, level 80

Pure arcane build, magmite pet. The veno was much more fun before they introduced genies and every class can now pull lol. Back in the day, they used to be valuable in squads. b:chuckle Granted, she's still fun to play when i wanna kick back, relax, and let BOB (my pet) do the work lol. Anyway, the veno's retired for now, as i'm saving for a herc. I enjoy tanking bosses, luring, and being able to solo so much of the game with the veno. With the herc i'll be able to solo even more stuff.

Cleric, level 78

Pure arcane build (with vit being added at 70+ for TT/RB). One of my favorite things as a cleric is the aoe grinding. Nothing like watching 20 or so petalis drop at once.

Also, it's fun having people depend on you to keep them alive in squads. (Or, on the rare occasion someone pisses me off, letting them die hehe) Another great solo class, as I rarely die due to self healing. (Yea, i like soloing anything I possibly can)

Barbarian, level 66

Tank build (6 str, 3 vit, 1 dex per 10 pts). Tanking is fun, especially when I got a good cleric with me. Granted, the barb takes some patience, but at least I don't have to worry too much about dying. Also, it would be nice if there were Twilight polehammers, but oh well. Even with the dual axes, I'm able to put enough into vit to tank pretty well.

Blademaster, level 52

Balanced Axe/Hammer AOE build (3 str, 1 vit, 1 dex every level). I love aoe grinding. Have some trouble finding a cleric to accompany me sometimes, so I save it usually for bh and when I've got charms. Once I hit 70 or so and start having tons of spirit, I'll start thinking about a 2nd and maybe even 3rd weapon path. For now, I'm content with the most fun one lol. Axe/hammer was the obvious choice for me, as i love anything involving aoe hehe.

Wizard, level 40

Pure arcane build (will also start statting vit at 70 for TT/RB). In case you haven't figured out yet, I love my glass cannon builds lol. Being able to kill stuff in 2 or 3 hits is great. I've heard the pure arcane wizzie has a little trouble at later levels, but we shall see. I'm not afraid to kite if i have to after all lol. I do tend to get myself in trouble with Dragon's Breath tho. b:chuckle

Psychic, level 30

Pure arcane build. Meh. Not much of a fan of the Tideborns. This is my new hay farmer, so he'll stay at level 30ish and level genies for a while (got 5 lvl 1 Zeals in his bank hehe). I think the class would have been more challenging if knockback were not availible till a later level (similar to the wiz).

Assassin, level 26

Pure dex build. Again, meh. Eventually I'll probably dust this guy off and give him some more play time...maybe. Too reliant on life powder (I have a tendancy to die when it wears off and i don't notice). Some nice skills and great damage output tho.

Archer, level 21

Pure dex build. I originally had my archer up to 36, but i rerolled him after botching his stats (I had points in mag, enough said). I didn't like the archer initially. Was my first character way back when on the Sanctuary server, and i hated it. Got it to level 12 and rerolled a veno. This was before i learned to kite, and was like "why does my damage decrease when they get close?" Now that i've got a good handle on the game in general, the archer has really grown on me. Looking forward to bounty hunters and putting barbs to the "can u hold aggro" test hehe.

Cleric, level 5

Pure arcane FAC. I had a friend do the attack cleric up to about level 60 before he rerolled on RT as a 'Sin, and he said it was pretty fun. This is just sort of a side project for me, and I haven't really spent any time on it yet, but i'm looking forward to it. The only problem I foresee is getting booted from bh squads for not being a healer. Meh, guess i'll see what happens when i get there.

So those are my characters. If you have some alts, plz post em here along with how they're built and why you enjoy them. Looking forward to seeing what people like about different classes they've played.

well ill start with my barb it was the very first character i made i luv being able to take high damage & protecting everybody im not a pro barb but im pretty decent

now for my veno its my favorite alt i luv being able to do stuff most of my other chars cnt do i luv all the cool looking pets right now im saving up coin to get my veno a herc then a nix

for my archer to me its the hardest for me to play its still very fun sense i like bows in real life not much else i can say here tho

about my cleric i luv having the power to hold someones life in my hand if they are nice to me ill do my best if they are jerks ill let them die & revive them if they are still being a jerk ill let them die & leave them

for my bm its 1 of the lowest alts i have i just luv all the different weps i can use & idk bout everybody else but to me so far on my BM most of the stuff is pretty easy to do

my wizard i luv all the skills they have BIDSb:dirty they have such a variety to me they are pretty easy to play little tough at times but i got thru it

now for my assassin i just luv all the aspects of the sin they are like i am in real life im very sneaky i luv suprising people when i gather a group of my assassin friends & we alll go stealth just for the fun of it & unstealth all around other people & scare the **** out of them lol

for my psychic i luv being able to 3-5 shot everything most of the time

on all my casters im pure mag & on my archer & sin im pure dex for my bm my build is
6str 3dex 1 vit for my barb its build is 6str 3 vit 1 dex hope you can under stand everything spelling is not my best subject lolb:victory

I started out with a veno, then realized I was doing everything wrong. Made a second light armor veno and did not like the damage. During that time, I wanted to experiment with every single class.

Cleric - Decent but realized gaining spirit was a problem for me and the mp and money sink was a problem

Wiz - Still have it. lvl 36 and plan to get this to high lvl once I'm sick of my veno....which is never

Barb - Got this to lvl 12 and was bored. But I made a new one and might play sometime O.o

Archer - Got to lvl 9 and was bored out of my mind

BM - A high lvl BM I saw with a poleaxe motivated me to make this, but then it got really frustrating with the kiters so I stopped at lvl 20

And then I finalized my fourth veno with a herc and now I'm loving it. With the psychic and assassin, I really like the psy. Sin was kind of boring to me, seemed like similar concept as the BM where I always had to run up to them and I die too fast.

Ok, why not.. I'll bite. XD

Archer (80) - My first char here on PW, and still my main after all this time. I've always played the "Ranger-type" class in games like this, so it was only natural when I joined PW to start with something I'd be at least somewhat familiar with. Still my favorite character after all this time, although the next one is a close second. XD

Blademaster (80) - This is actually my 2nd BM. I had made one long ago when my main was still a noob, (yea yea, I know, I'm STILL a noob XD), but realized far too late I had screwed up the stats and learned the wrong skills, and ended up trashing it around level 40. I decided a few months ago to re-visit the class, built it properly this time, and have fallen in love with the miracle known as aoe grinding. XD

Cleric (77) - This was my 2nd character, originally. I had created him to help take some of the burden off our only higher-level cleric in fac waaaay back when. (Now, we have more clerics than any other class XD) Ended up really enjoying playing a cleric, and decided to continue leveling him anyway. Not quite as much fun as the others, in my opinion, but still good for a kick now and then.

Barb (74) - Decided a while back to see how the "other half" feels, after playing my cleric for so long. Absolutely hated this char at first, and ended up shelving him around level 25 for like 4 months. Finally came back to him, pushed him up to a decent level so he could actually HIT something, and found it wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought at first. XD

Veno (63) - This one I created for the purpose of seeing what the hype was all about. With so many veno's running around, I figured there had to be something good about them, besides just the hercs and nixs. Eventually I got bored with it, (has been 63 for months now), as it just doesn't offer any challenge compared to the other classes. PW-in-easy-mode indeed, in my opinion.

Wizard (34) - Wanted to see what this class was like. Haven't done a whole lot with it, as the really long channeling times irritate the heck out of me. After playing some of the quicker classes, playing this one makes me feel like I'm moving in slow-motion. XD

Assassin (31) - Too soon to form a real opinion yet, as I don't get a lot of free time to play it. Seems fun so far though.

Psychic (3) - To be determined. LOL

Originally started this game not long after it's release. Played veno to 28 on Heaven's Tear..quit for a few months..got a gf..she saw me play it and started a wiz so i started a Cleric on same server..Sanctuary.. got it to 36..then lvled a dual axe BM to 32..then quit game again when she did aswell.

Came back about 2 months ago..started a Psychic on Heaven's Tear where my friend plays..got to lvl 12 and got a bit bored..deleted my old veno on that server to get name free'd up..made a new Veno while waiting with this name..taken me 1-2 months to hit 61 and i'm loving it although had to switch from Crystalline to Glacial yesterday..lvl 35..still lvling..*grind*

Everyone says Veno is easiest to play..sure maybe..but it does involve getting pet to hold aggro while you DD mob or heal pet..and with the addition of genies all classes can supposedly pull without us but we'll see..enjoy pulling mobs from groups..and that's my 2 cents..or rather..my 20 dollars from this wall of text.

Edit: Recently made alts for all classes except Wiz which i've only ever played once to lvl 5 before giving up..making alt Dual-Axe BM once names are free.

Hmm lets see Archer stopped playing my own after I couldn't kill one mob in the mines

and Wizard I have played 6 wizards over my PWI history and with the exception of one I failed at them all. Heavy armor light armor arcane heavy with a weapon light with a bow and magic. Yaaaah not my brightest ideas.

Cleric only got this one up to 37 never played a cleric higher then this they are fun but eh I just can't bring myself to play him.

BM played 4 different BMs don't really care for them they are quite annoying to use.

Venos level 95 fun but difficult at times frequently have to dispel myths about venos because people start so many rumors. I have played fist venos ,archer venos, axe venos, light armor venos, heavy armor venos.........Pretty much if you can think of a weapon or a armor or a type of build of veno I have done it up to about 25 at least.

Barb now barbs they are soooooooo much fun its not fair how fun they are. I always heard barbs complaining about how hard they have it or how much their repair bill is but all I see is hot air because I have played at least on this server a barb up to 45 and have still yet to see any degree of difficulty. Its insanely fun to be able to run into the mobs and not face plant the ground instantly like I would on my veno.

Psychic still working on this little bugger when I get the time maybe I will level her more.

Assassin all the way up to level 33 I think it was or 34 and then just couldn't find any real time to devote to it between TW on my veno and leveling my hulking barb. Some day I will get the rest of my characters on this server up to the proper level but that will be after my barb and veno have hit 100 for sure. This game will keep me entertained for a good long time to come.

Archer lvl 86 Hybrid build, 68 vit i think, got over 320+ dex my first char, always love it, mobs die fast, at most I just need to run back a couple times and they are dead. love to 1 shot or 2 shot them XD

Barb lvl 85 vit build When I first play it, and seeing its crit. I thought to myself "you call THAT crit?" lmao its hitting so low, it never 1 hit or 2 hit mobs when I quest, not even 3 hit lol. just takes longer time to quest compare to cleric and archer. Made my barb after archer and cleric are 80s and 70s

Cleric lvl 81 Arcane build with 120+ vit one of the hardest class to play, especially at lower lvls. Cleric lose more exp than any other class because if partywipe, they are the one ported out to res others.

Veno lvl 62 light armor not playing much at all, only use it more to tame rare pets. pretty easy to lvl imo

BM lvl 23

Psych lvl 21

Sin lvl 8 lol

Originally started a barb on Harshlands and got to lvl 57 before switching to DreamWeaver. As far as DW goes I have:

Archer lvl 82
Barb lvl 75
Cleric lvl 75
Veno lvl 72
BM 35 currently on hold
Psi lvl 31
28 Sin currently on hold
22 Wizzie currently on hold.

Also have a couple lower venos I use to farm mats & such. And just like Nico I have been told so many times stay with one and you would have been 90+ if not 100. However being a faction leader I felt it would help to know a little of each class and have some of those high enough to help others in the guild with bosses and such.

xD i have.....
joined when first set of snowmen cameout... so i was like whooaaaa you can lvl sooo fast with just a bow and arrows.... so i started a archer. got it to 30+. Also had a barbarian 20ish, veno 20ish, cleric 20ish.

After snowmen though, i wondered about how quests worked, since it was lame farming reputation to do fb 19 -.-.

I started a bladesmen... and got it to 34, then discovered crazy stone... that is when alt city really started.... xD saw on forums the qq over venos and nix, so i decided that'll be my goal to get one, so I just crazy stoned on bladesmaster and archer, while i started a LA wearing veno. Once i got that to 30, i started to crazy stone them all, while marketing. got to 43 on crazy stones alone on veno b4 merchanting enough for hercules and phoenix. then once i got them... i merchanted further (OMG JOLLY WAS AWESOME COINAGE) to get stuff like +7 sakumarynu, xD which i used all through 70s then sold for more than i got it for (sold to another veno who had many fights with me lol, after which she always beat me -.-) well got to 80ish and did ALOt of hh, but then got lazy.... decided merchanting more my thing. By this time had a wizard 50ish and bladesmen 60 and archer 60, cleric 51.
got veno to 89 then stopped her there (this is like sooooo long ago)
saw many videos with crazyyy dmg done by wizards... and i grew bored of the pk style of veno... so next jolly, instead of selling off all oracles... i used alot on the 55ish wizard.... got it to 77, then rebirthed til 86, then dailied to 89 and then frost/dailied to 92 so far.

got aniv pack gear for her as soon as she hits 95. When Assasins/psychics came out, I also tried them, assasin 66 and psychic 32. (LOVED stealth lol, but found no time to play them once, i hit 89 on wizard i was focused on her.)

my only regret is i got the super bank stone/ super inventory /nix/herc for veno...and don't play her anymore.

althoguh im proud of all i have amassed without cash shopping at all. also got married on wiz... but hubby quit -.- no marraige exp for me -.-

meh, i get by without. got 4 rows of cupboard each on my veno and barb, and super inv for cleric. the rest are all basic. i use the veno's cupboard for regular mats, the barb's for herbs, and the cleric's extra space for tt mats.

Lol im addicted to lvling all classes to. But to be fair i played since first day of Open beta so i had plenty time to lvl a lot of chars. I think its mostly since you can lvl up so fast now its like "might just as well go make one of that class to" ;/

love this game, no matter how much they change it.

currently i have:
95 veno LA sage
94 archer demon
91 wiz sage
89bm demon
89 barb demon
87 bm
85 bm (can you tell i like bm?)
84 cleric
55 psychic
and several others lvl 5-60 that don't see the light of day anymore

favorite is bm because its so versatile, i always hear people talk about how veno is best solo class but i solo almost as much with the bm's as i do the veno. barb is amazingly boring to grind with my barb is covered indust now since i never use it. wizard is awesome for hitting high dmg numbers, same goes for archer. cleric is a pain because everyone thinks they have to tell you what to do and how to do it and where to stand and which player to heal and how high is your purify and on and on. psychic its only at 55 but ive discovered its very easy to play and fun to, black and white voodoo are awesome. yeah so looking at this ive discovered im not really party oriented because the only 2 i don't really like are cleric and barb.

I use to play a tank in game becuase i liked making sure ppl were protected and nothing got to them. then i came here =O and my first Ronin directer on HT was a cleric and we needed more so i made one and fell in love with her b:cute See avatar i still find myself playing a bm . i tried a barb and even though they're primary tank i just find it boring =\

right now my husband ING is trying to catch up to my veno which will be my next main. then im pretty sure it will move to wizard...with everything else (psy/sin/barb/bmarcher) in between when we run out of quests in the 60's

I have an abandoned 82 veno on HT along with a 2x of every class pre-tides.

On Dreamweaver my "main" is an 85 barb tank that I'm waiting to do my 1st Gamma with b4 going ahead (been 2 months at 85 sigh).

While waiting I have played my psychic to lvl 51 and his 2-4 shot kills and fast casts are lots of fun.

I was surprised that I could solo Krixxix at 50.

I have a 44 BM that has all the hand me downs from my barb.

He is an axe/hammer only build with 7 str 2 vit 1 dex every 2 levels.

I'm just getting to the levels where I get the nice aoe's so I am looking forward to that!

29 cleric is a LA build that is quite frustrating to play because of the lower attacks and heals so I might switch him soon and repair the build later if I stick with him.

He will be my first Elf to earn his new wings at 30 in 2 years of playing PW.

25 HA veno is a melee first build that is kind of fun but as with all veno's the Herc cloud looms.

25 HA wiz is pure experimental that I hope one day can solo aoe grind but his build is super messed up at the moment just like my veno.

With stone barrier it is funny to have more phys def than the BM's I squad with though.

24 Sin is there to mess with every now and then.

I usually play him for a few days then not for weeks.

I don't have an archer as I haven't had much fun with them before so I made a 25 AA veno that is a copy of my HT one.

For anyone that plays multiple characters the best thing you can do is get an account stash.

I used to mail everything to my alts but now it's just a quick trip to any bank to swap stuff.

The coolest thing is you can swap bound gear between alts.

My barb has the 45 Cloudcharger cloak which is bound and I swap it to my psychic and very soon to my BM when I go on them.

The stash 50 hammers can also be swapped in the account stash so when my BM turns 50 I will choose the bow for my sin to use one day.

I also give my barb's str/vit tome to my BM and HA veno and wiz when I go on them.

I just need to remember to send them back before I help people with my barb. lol

For the people who were bummed they used all the account and inv stones on a char they don't play much any more; with the account stash that char can be your banker very easily.

59 veno - arcane build with herc after i take enough surveys lol

39 psy - arcane

39 wiz - arcane (i like hitting hard as you can see)

21 sin - dex build (really squishy *sigh* he'll get there eventually)

8 catshop - naked fail build wiz

0 archer - waiting till i'm not too lazy to sell what I can and send the rest of my catshop stuff to my other account (where i have another catshopb:surrender because this ones inventory and mailbox got full)

With a cleric main I find it helpful to have played almost all the other classes to know what they can and should do in a squad better than just watching

Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to lvl many characters... :c I have a life and a job.
My main is a lvl83 Archer (pure dex).
The only alt I actually play is a lvl68 BM (3str 2dex all-weapon build).
My Cleric is lvl50 (pure mag)... retired, not enough time and energy to lvl her.

94 wizard - See avatar. It's cool but takes some effort to play.

87 veno - Enjoy leveling pets. I have 10 lvl 87 pets and 2 other on the way to there. This is a great money builder and mana pot accumulater. This character basically supported the wizard crazystone quests since 70+ and i have shipped stacks of mana pots to wizard which quickly gobbles them up in no time.

81 barb - Not sure i would like it, but i like alot. Maybe just nice to not feel so squishy since all other ar magic classes.

72 cleric - This is my HA cleric expiriement. It's interesting but between my other characters this cleric doesnt see the light of day much. I would like to run it up to 80 doing BH but im not sure i could deal with a bunch of jack***es shouting orders at me.

59 psychic - Really havent done much with this. Only crazystone and BH since lvl 30.

39 veno - This was a low level pet tester and genie leveler. Also a hay collector but i wasnt paying attention (forgot to put XP into genie) one day during double xp and i accedentally leveled to high.

If i decide to **** around with another class it will be assassin to see what all the hub bubs about.

Oh yea i have a lvl 74 veno (LA) on lost city(permantly retired). i played for awhile on Lost City then stopped. Enjoyed game but decided to stop to devote time to other game. When Harshland open i restart playing and been hooked since.

I do aim in the future to try out pretty much all the classes except for archer and psychic. Idk why but they just dont seem interesting to me.

Atm, i have one char, lvl 15 or 16 sin. I only started last weekend and i cant play on weekdays so im assuming its gonna take me awhile to get her to a high level.

Pardon my noobiness, but i have a few questions that are somewhat relevant to this thread.

Is there any place i can go to look up this game's terminology, cuz im seeing a lot of strange abbreviations and im finding it confusing.b:puzzled

I've read all the posts in this thread and i clearly see that a lot of you have tons of experience in this game. So i was wondering if you would have any advice on a second character for a newb to try out. I was personally thinking of either a cleric, barb or bm.

Why no Barb? Because I love customizing my characters' looks, and Barbs... well, there's just not much room for creativity there. Yep, it makes no sense, but there you go. b:chuckle
