Macros for a Wizzie.

Hey all.

I'm level 51 now and I haven't got one macro set up for myself. XDD I don't mind it that much; I think doing something simple like pressing buttons is good enough for me.

On the other hand, I know there are some combinations/macros out there that clicking and pressing just can't beat. What I'm asking is, what are some macros you use against mobs? What about in PvP? The Wiz I'm raising just had her first TW tonight and did fairly well, but I wanna know if there are certain ways to make her better via macros.

[Hoping to reach 59 by end of week for Wisdom Sutra and Ultis.]

My macros always got interrupted and well if I didnt want to be bashing keys I wouldve rolled a veno or something :) And also its hard to implement distance shrink in a macro. But if you really want one, something like Gush>SS>gush>WotP>pyro might work but it really depends on the situation

I try to avoid using macros, pve and pvp (with the exception of "non" elemental bosses since they just take so long x.x). To me it encourages you to not pay as much attention to what's happening as you would otherwise.

Besides if you try to cancel a macro, it'll always just skip that skill and start the next one, making it harder to stop and recover if you need to.

And in pvp..... I can't imagine fighting someone you can beat the same way over.. and over again. If that's true... that's sad for them.

I usually just start out with Undine Strike, Sandstorm, then use a macro of gush, WotP, gush. Then I use either Distance Shrink or Undine Strike, or Force of Will, then repeat the earlier macro. It can work without the Undine Strike as well.

Try Glacial Embrace>Sandstorm>Gush>Force of Will>Sandstorm>(Gush if it isn't dead)
Kills anything, seriously. And the mob doesn't even touch you. But I'm arcane, so it probably won't work for other builds. Its mana-expensive too. =(

Every mob needs a different aprotch to kill it (as you can't put in normal attacks)

If you are endlessly grinding on the same mob, you might want to make a macro for that specific mob. But there is not really a single macro that works on every mob for wizzys, like there is for archers, as you need to use a specific amount of skils. And preferebly the right skils at the right time, not much use to use a sandstorm when the mob has 2k hp left.

I have 1 chi build macro (morning dew > frostblade > repeat), and sometimes I make myself a macro if I'm endlesly killing easy mobs.
And I make one for TT, though I only do that during the boss fight itself

    I only use 3 macros.
Chi builder (morning dew > frostblade repeat)
    Then i have (Gush>pyro, repeat)
then i have a sutra combo button, (DP>GS>SS>DP)
Basically i just click sutra, then the macro button QUICKLY and i almost always get all 4 movies out on a sutra.

Macro is chain of spells launched on 1 click. Very useful if you have to kill 100 mobs. Pretty common for quests in high levels. But who doing quests today? Only morons like me. :-))

I will tell you my two favorite macros.

Do not tell anyone, they are SECRET!!!

Macro 1: gush, gush, gush, gush, gush, gush, gush, gush

Macro 2: pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram, pyrogram

    b:chuckle

    b:shocked

    b:chuckle

    EPIC...b:shocked

Anda, i havent found them to be useful yet, i only use them for chi gaining atm, eg-morning dew, frostblade, morning dew, frostblade...

As people, have said they can be interupted, an not every situation can be solved by a single or couple macros...
Also i think there is a small delay between skills being cast when using macros, rather than clicking them.

Ive tried using macros with sutra, that hasnt worked well, an im pretty sure its unable to do without clicking the macro after the sutra, even then like i said, im pretty sure there is a small delay, so you wouldnt get as many skills off as you would manually clicking.

I've never bothered with macros really, besides for bosses which I don't feel like clicking all the time for.
You need to sit over your char anyway, because otherwise as soon as you leave they'll decide to cancel themselves, and using a macro makes it harder to adapt.
I've also found they seem to cast slightly further apart than you can manage casting each individually.
