Well, the options are listed below. I've combined any +magic attack modifiers into the magical attack numbers, listed the average, and converted +VIT into +HP modifiers. Also, removed the +MP modifier because it's pretty useless.

    Glaives of Divinity (79 mold)
    Magical attack 591-981 (786 avg)
    Magic +6-8

    Endless Ambiguity (TT80 sword)
    Magical attack 673-940 (806.5 avg)
    Channelling -3%
    HP: +165

    Yaksa (TT80 sword)
    Magical attack 673-822 (747.5 avg)
    Phys. Res.: +216
    Magic +12-13
    Critical Hit Rate +1%

    Wheel of Life (TT80 glaive)
    Magical attack 668-963 (815.5 avg)
    Dexterity +12-13
    Magic +12-13

    Sakra-devanam-Lundra (TT80 gold sword)
    Magical attack 743-892 (817.5 avg)
    Critical Hit Rate +2%
    HP + 120-130

Acalanatha Wand: Sunflame (TT80 gold wand)
    Magical attack 740-861 (800.5 avg)
    Magic +12-13
    HP + 120-130

in my opinion yaksa is the best (that being said hh gold weapons are very expensive)
the 216 p.res are very nice, the 12-13 mag. arent bad (even better than the +1xx max.-matk of endless ambiguity)
the only thing is about crit or -chan...i personally think that +1 crit does more than -3%chan

    - The gold magic sword is easily the best, but also expensive and can't be resold
    - Endless Ambiguity offers a nice HP bonus, works well with channeling ornaments and is quite common, pretty cheap/easy to find
    - Yaksa is basically a pdef version of Endless Amb, with crit instead of channeling

Those are really the only 3 I'd use. The wand isn't worth it because it can't be resold, the stats it gives aren't good enough to throw away money for it. Wheel of Life is okay, but I wouldn't use it over the others. 79 glaive is just terrible, IMO.

If your lv70 weapon is +4 you could also consider keeping it till 85 and getting a frost weapon. Depends if you have the money for it.
Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.

Good weapon at 80? none. Keep the TT70 for 5 more lvls. Should be about 2 weeks top to fly through those lvls, why waste time and money to farm something that would be severely overpowered in 5 lvls?

But, for ones that really want a new shining weapon at 80, in my opinion, Yaksa is the best choice. Nice boost in pdef, 1 crit and added magic. You're a wizard, you need pdef, crit and dmg and Yaksa brings exactly that.
Endless is a nice choice, but more for a cleric than a wizard.

I know for a fact, because at 80 I had two awesome weapons for that time (july 2009):
    - +6 Yaksa with 2 flawless
    - +6 Endless with 2 immac.

Out of the two, Yaksa gave me about 300 more magic attk unbuffed and full buffed about 650-700pdef. Endless gave me 165Hp ... so, as a wizard, Yaksa is the choice.
The 90 version of it is ****, but the 99 is really , really good.

ya the 90 version of yaksa is trash...i learned the hard way.
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

I'd buy well refined Yaksa, use it and then resell it at 90.

    RB, BH, FC

I like my yaksa. Aiming for the TT90 glaive and selling the yaksa when I'm there

Real FC runs won't start until about 85 actually, as than loads of people want to do it. Though the exp is still nice at lvl 80, RB is more worth it (if you can pull it off, FC is abit easyer/less fail chance (as a single death can't result in you getting kicked out of the instance without chance of returning)

I personally don't like the damage on glaives for pve as they're unstable, I rather make sure I can kill a certain mob in X hits

And unless you're going for a lunar wand, keeping your yaksa for the 99 sword might be a good idea. If it's refined to +3 or higher it may not be worth decomposing but still something to consider.

Personally, I think the Yaksa is the best choice. While the TT80 gold sword is better, it's also quite a bit more expensive and cannot be resold.

That said, Glaives of Divinity are by far the cheapest choice, and aren't that much worse than the TT weapons for less than half the price. I picked up a +4 one for around 2m the other day, whereas a Yaksa would cost me over 4m even without refines.

for someone who's on line let's say 6 hrs/day , getting from 80 to 85 will take less than a week IF you become a RB wh@re.
Actually, I was doing RB Gamma even before 80, as soon as I could equip my Steppenwolf cape.
    Pants - mold 70
    Chest - mold 77 (is steppenwolf 79 or 77?)
    wrists - mold 77
rings with HP modifier on them - 78.
    pants - 3 star 2ith

This gear can get you to 90 just fine.

wiz in pvp or pve? :)
    pvp Idk.
if u're rich and u can put +6 on a lvl 80 weap, then...u cant speak to other ppl about weapon's real power. :)
I think that the best weap at 80, for pve and a wiz pure magic is the tt80 glaive. just the highest dmges at the lowest price, nothing to decompose, and bonuses so nice :)
with a gear with +2-3 dex, u'll get +1% crit, without problems. That's better than spend a lot of coins to make a gold weap only for hp and crit.and then, if u've coins to spend, buy immac citrine and not flawless :) u'll get more hp from ur armor :)

Get the TT80 wheel of life, this becomes the wheel of denied fate at 90... which rocks. Does mean more work later getting the 99 gold sword but it's still the most solid 90 magic weapon out there imo.

Personally I got an endless ambi at 80 to complement my light armour build at the time but the 90 weapon from that is more of a cleric/veno based weapon than a wizard one. Not as bad as the Yaksa one though x.x

Well, personally, I use the Wheel of Life, mostly due to its TT90 upgrade, as well as the slight crit percentage I get (accidentally put a few points in dex a ways back, and never had the money for a restat scroll >_>;;;) but, it's definitely worth it later on.
