TW - Faction Caps

Currently, Sanctuary is the only faction owned by 1 dominant faction. Nefarious. My suggestion is quite simple, and wouldn't take much effort to fix.

Now I know that Nefarious themselves will complain about this suggestion, based on their dominance of the map.

My idea is simple:

Make the land into three seperate segments (Admittedly like there currently is)
Make it so that faction's of said lands LEVEL can attack it, eg. Level 1 faction Happiness can attack thousand streams)
Factions can only hold 10 pieces of land, aswell as any cities they currently hold. (To make it so TW is fair and fun)

Currently, on Sanctuary as an example. You fight nefarious, you fight 90+ geared children, with +10 gear supplied by land dominance. Sanctuary will never have a decent TW because the faction is able to pay for their members to get gear, because they get over 200m PER week. How is this fair? It isn't. Yes they worked for a whole year for it, but nobody else even trys, except Regicide, and even they end up losing. Your only bet is to fight the FEW factions that have land, which doesn't hold for long. The only way a faction can attain land, is when the bigger factions (Regicide, Outlaw, Legendary, R3N3G4D3S) are attacking, and nef sends their weaker members to you. I find this TW idea sensational, because it would make people actually want to try to TW, instead of paying for nef to hold an even bigger e-penor.

    I agree with this in it's entirety, I myself will not and cannot recommend a game that seems to hold any type of bias towards a certain section that is claimed to be 'fair'.

    So I have held off a review that I know 3000 people would read in the period of 48 hours due to this fact, cause if I did It would be a bad review.

    i agree 100%, lost city server was in nearly that situation.

    my suggestion isnt btw to set a maximum ownable territory number for each faction, efforts should be rewarded.

    i have 2 suggestions for this:

    1 - make a map refresh each 3 or 4 months (this mean owned territory back to zero)

    2 - set high difficulty "monster wars" against owned territory (without a TW bid on) each week, difficulty based on tier of territory


    the second suggestion is quite cool i think, it allows guilds owning a territory to fight hard each week to keep the territory, whats more, they allow TW calendar to be FULL each week! this means more and more TWs on different times so better for different zones players! b:victory

    I just want to point out, 200 mil split between 200 people in the faction is 1m each. If you only split it with the 80 people who do TW (assuming you have 1 war), that's 2.5m each.

    Your TW salary probably just covers a charm. Most people by that level can probably get much more than 2.5m a week.

    Personally I'm against all forms of concrete restrictions (ex. limit the number of lands). Increasing the number of wars, maybe. But I'm more to the idea that people work to take down the dominating faction rather than having a simple server refresh hand them land.

    Just don't limit the number of factions able to attack a faction, makes no sense.

    If you're going to conquer the entire map, then you better be prepared to defend it all, not just 3 parts of it.

    LC was in that situation but CQ give away theirs lands since no fun in keeping all i guess,look like sanc.dominating faction likes it..
    wouldnt be fair they reset map or something,after all those ppl in guild work for it but they do have alot of benefits from it,like money,free ports etc.so it should make it bit harder to keep all too.i agree with eldersig,maybe not defend all lands in same time but atleast they should increase limit,maybe 4 factions so its harder to defend.65 good geared ppl still can own full 80 with bad gear,but if they have to defend with less,they could lose (some of) lands,theirs choice what they gonna defend more.

    the idea of having wraiths attacking conquered territories have been presented before, and people generally liked the idea iirc

    Just remove the limit on simultaneous defenses.

    Having 10 attackers group up into 3 at a time is stupid.
    If you want to hold 10 lands you should be capable of defending them all simultaneously.

    That should put a natural limit on the size of territory with the best TW guilds holding the most.

    better idea, allow a faction to declare war however allow it to be any time during the weekend the attacking faction chooses.... think about it... would you tell the enemy when you're going to strike? Nope. Have the attack a mystery until a hour before lol

    Now if you'll excuse me I have TW plans to make during the time period people are doing their bounty hunts....

    Agreed... or atleast increase the limit.
