Its really nice to hug the floor... b:chuckle

After all the pain, I gotten him to a LVL I wanted him to, didn't gave up. So gladly gotten to a certain LVL b:victory

    your doing something very wrong if your dieng to arboride dryads..0.0 those things R really slow at moving, Either you has a **** weapon ( as in not ur fb 19) or u dont know how to use the most basic archer combo.. Sorry buddy but u shuld never touch the archer class again.. u iz fail 0.o

    Just so you know: (gather enuff chi for frost arrow by casting blazing ) then... frost+ 2-3 normals(varys by mob, get the feel of it)+ knock back then finish off with normal. Using that dumb wood DoT skill is just a waste of mp and lets the mob get to u faster..really its not that hard.. its also get better when u get ur fast casting close range full dmg skill..

    I've only died twice on my archer in PvE, once a while back when I was afk in SP and someone pulled Dismal and yesterday when I got DC death.

    Btw, winged shell is your friend.

    Woah, that's weird :c At low levels, the best thing to do is to make some life powders, but I was fine without them when I was around that level. I only die if I don't pay attention (too much faction chat) xD

    belive me later really good in pve, only in begning sucks. so go lv and u will see later its cool the pve (too).

    Just a question but you do realise that archers do damage based on dex right? But saying that today I saw archers in magic robes 88+ ones too :|

    if we count the pvp reduction then the difference not too huge

    if pwcalc work well then 3rd spark with light: 22299-32020 and with heavy: 20901-30124, so 2k difference (in pvp 500 dmg if the target pdef is 0, if target have 50% pdef absorb then 250), with ehavy both hp/mdef/pdef higher. light got +5% crit (ofc la have more crit)

    (still i dont really think its worth to a normal player who cant refine everything to huge)

    oh i dont watched that pole yet, but i think something changeing after 90 (i dont say useless the la after 90 only have less advantage when heavy start refine the mdef belt and neck)

    If you are suggesting an archer needs to go heavy to PvP, I think I'm just going to laugh at you, wait for you to seriously dish out numbers that prove you can still do the insane damage you need to do to drop opponents quickly and if your survivability really is increased considering the sheer nerf in damage and crit you can expect to see.

    On another note, I've not been kissing the ground for a very long while.

    ... If we discount my past couple of FCs, where the barb sucked ****. (At level 86, he was holding aggro worse than an 80 barb, and couldn't pull his way out a wet paper bag. Kudos to you, Mr. Barb Who I Shan't Name, for being the first and only barb to ever lose aggro to me on an FC boss.) Yeah, those couple of runs saw me hugging the floor a bit more than normal...

    See that difference in crit %? See it?

    That is what helps archers kill things before things kill them. Archers best defence is their offence. The instant you take that away you nerf your archer and decrease the chance of you surviving by an assload.

    well to be fair his build lacked some of the event items that we see more commonly, like the crit boots and grade 7 tomes. but for some odd reason he gave the heavy archer rank 8 plate while the light archer stuck with ashura's.

    this is what i'd do as heavy with infinite money

    if i wanted to hold on to -interval

    arcane just pales because you can't stack much -interval at all.

    But I keep seeing arcane archers and I really dont understand why, I look at their gears just to make sure im not going insane, Ive only known archers to go LA, my archer is LA its just whats right!

    I would possibly do the same, but I would never fall into that kind of money unless I sold my soul to play this game more often and possibly sold my soul to get a winning lottery ticket.

    I'm still under the general impression however that pure dex/LA is a better way to go. Admittedly our defence absolutely sucks **** and evasion and accuracy aren't even coded properly in this game IMO, but the loss of potential crit and damage it... meh. I just don't like the idea of a nerf of damage so you can survive more.

    Cause generally, the idea is it's dead before it reaches you/can cast a spell at you.

    I kill faster with wood DOT against earth elemental mobs... I only use wood DOT for that... blobs are so easy... I used lightning strike on adrobe dryads... lycean hunters destroyed my archer many times and I was using take aim as an opening. the problem is the chi cost lol. Your right, archer isn't for me lol. Not much survivability skills for me to stay alive. I just wanted to experience other chars what its like

    It was easy on me. I quit my Archer because it makes no sense for a character to be that goshdarn fragile (gladly sporting a max vit bm) but Life Powder was the difference that allowed my Archer to actually accomplish anything. I was just fed up that I was constantly having to go find more Nectar and Golds to make it. It's ridiculous.

    I was asked to help someone on a mission;

    Me: "Nah dude my HP sux i'ma die my class sux."

    It doesn't feel good to be useless.

    Sorry, but that's QQ. Archer sucks in the 20s and even 30s, but it's getting better every level. It's not as bad as you make it look. Not even pre-Knockback.

    QQ - No. I'm fully capable of going through with finishing the character, I just don't find the character's premise even attractive. What's fun about dying as soon as something sneezes on you? The concept is to kill before it hits you, but that's just a way to compensate for the fact that you wont survive if it does.

    I've played an MMO before, and done the whole "Full Dex, Zero Health" bow class deal. I'll tell you, I hated being fragile then even with above average damage, and I refuse to do it again now.

    Archers being able to do the Zhen thig and being respected DD is great, I just don't want a part of it if it means being a glass cannon and ending up like the thread title over every minor accident. I'll eventually finish the Archer, I just gotta do a serious class first. i.e., my BM. Something that's useful and flexible, and can take a few hits.
