Hi all, I just made this account, and my Download Just finished Verifying and all.

While downloading I was reading materials about characters and that sort of thing of the like.



When it came to making my Ultimate Choices (For Class and Server)

I came up with 2 of Each:

For Class
Assassin, Wizard

For Server
Raging Tide, Heaven's Tear

Again I would like to say hello to everyone of the Perfect World International Family, And I hope to have a great Time with everyone! b:laugh

Oh and btw just call me Aqua, or Rey. Doesn't Matter

    hey... i'm Rey... and so is the other Rey i know.

    I would offer some advice but theres a pretty big difference in play style between sins and wizzies...

    as far as servers go, heavens tear has a more established player base (tides being only a few months old) and is where i've played my entire PWI career.

    anyways welcome to the game, dont expect to get ahead unless you got lots to spend in the cash shop or play a veno to get rich. but you can still have fun with it anyway

    Welcome, this is a great game. Hope you have fun!

    And a word of advice if I may. Try to not let the lure of the cash shop here in game tempt you too much, and you'll have fun, and stay out of the poor house while doing it, lol.

    Thanks for the warm welcome and the advice, Already saw Cash Shop, I'm gonna save some in game coin on the side for some good looking fash I guess....b:surrender

    and wtf are Oracles, some ppl I were chatting with in-game made them sound vile and disgusting along with Hyper Exp Stones b:shocked

    Anyways, beside me being a stickler for details, making money is not a hard endeavor if you know what you're doing and are willing to put the time forth to do it. And we have the lovely auction house gold trade.

    Just warning you right now, this can be a fun game, but the days when one could play it without real life money are long gone. Don't think you're going to be able to save coin to buy gold with the current (and unlikely to change) coin inflation.

    Ever since September, this game hasn't been playable to a reasonable level without real life money. Certainly, people have done it, but most of them did it before gold cost 300-500k coins each.

    Most of my friends who didn't pay real life money have quit the game. My friends who don't mind paying several times what a pay to play MMO costs are still around. And I think if you checked how much real life money most higher levels have put in per month, you'd find it to be much greater than the average pay to play MMO costs.

    I hate it, but I think that's how the game is now. Enjoy the game, but be warned.

    Speak for yourself. I have no problems making money with the way things are now. As the gold prices inflate, so do the prices of certain things in game, which means I technically make more than I did before.

    Both are things that people can use to level up extremely quickly, making it very easy to reach the upper levels within days. Basically, they are both ways of reaching level limit without having to do much work at all compared to the standard grinding/questing that most of the player base does. Therefore, they are looked down upon by the majority of the community.

    If you can make money, then more power to you! It's good to hear. I still think that in the lower level range moneymaking has been severely hurt due to inflation. DQs will never sell for more as coin inflates, and mobs still drop the same coin b:surrender. The TT60 weapons on RT seem to be going for about the same price as they went for 9 months ago on HL, although I concede that this is higher than they were in october. I haven't checked higher level TT items (and the server is down :P).

    Heres my advice for ya.... pretty much u can take into account wat everyone tells u about making money and spending real life money.... but ull find wat works for u and u will have fun with the game...alot of people wanna talk about how u wont be "anything" without spending RL money but if ur just playing the game to play and have fun u def can do that without spending a cent :) and i see u chose a PvE server which means u wont be "pressured" to spend RL money in the cash shop AS MUCH as u would "need" to in a PvP server to keep up with the crazy godly high lvls with +10-+12 refine gear and all the best **** (which mostly came from anni packs anyway) but anyways when i first started i was pretty broke in real life and enjoyed the game very much.... but i will admit now that im higher lvl and in a PvP server i HAVE started spendin sum gold in the cash shop which sucks in a way cuz i do consider me as having sum damn good gear for my level but it still aint **** compared to everyone that have been playin a year longer than me and spent rediculous amounts of money and have just been around longer, ive been playing this game since around septmeber last year and ill say i play alot and WITHOUT oracles and HYPER exp stones or spending TOO much gold im lvl 88 which is not bad at all (im sure all the CRAZY people who play this 24/7 or oracle to lvl up will say 88 aint ****) but im happy with it and i just cant wait to hit 90+ so i can put on all my 90 gear thats just chillin in my stash waiting for me to equip it ;)

    anyways welcome to PWI and i hope u have a lot of fun killin monsters and maybe even later on killin players. :)

    Using Oracles and Hyper to fast track your character to the higher lvls will and does mess up your game play as you don't learn how you character's abilities work alone or with others in a squad and i believe that is why so many people have problems with letting the new races in squads at higher lvls.

    I have used them in the past to push me past that last little bit of a lvl to get to my next goal.

    Back in the days before BH and at the higher lvls it was the easiest way to make it to the next lvl as you would only have enough quests for 18 - 21% of that lvl the rest was helping with FBs, or grinding. (ah the good old days - lol)

    But as for myself i have been around on PWI since the days of closed beta and have seen lots of things come and go and much change, welcome and enjoy.

    Welcome. :) You're not on my server, so I won't bother saying look me up ingame if u need help, but i'm sure there are ppl on RT willing to help a newbie too.

    On to my couple points of advice...

    1. make friends with clerics and barbs. this will make life easier when you start doing bounty hunters and fb's.

    2. make friends with other classes too. friends are good.

    3. don't be embarrassed or afraid to take advice. not everyone will give good advice, but it shouldn't take you long to sort the bs from the gold.

    4. stick to your "non-cash shopping" guns. while some of the stuff in the cash shop is very useful (charms for example, make life much easier), a lot of it is frivolous and all of it is optional. it may be harder to level and/or make money without using the cash shop, but it's not impossible.

    5. do not start your own faction. i know it may seem like a good idea at the time, but sadly, most new factions fail relatively quickly. even some of the established factions eventually fail.

    6. join a faction. while i don't recommend starting one, joining a faction is a great way to find help when and if you need it, get advice on your class, meet new friends, and just generally make your gameplay more enjoyable. being factionless can get mighty lonely. there are tons of factions out there, it may take a few tries, but you'll be able to find one that's a good fit for you i'm sure.

    7. remember it's just a game. some people take the game far too seriously. don't let them bother you. just keep at it and be the best player you can be, and above all, have fun.

    Old days before mass orcales:
    Way of learning (the HARD way):
    - Some few really nice players take their time to learn u, what role u have in differend things, and how to do it good =). Instead of just saying "plz stand back then ill aoe our way through this fb (cave run)"
    - Rest is bad **** learn from ur fails and use ur brain, the get through the lvls. like for venos or cler "ups never heal a target that is being attacked by more mobs, but don't have agro of them all, now i died =/"


    Now with oracles:
    - Same few really nice ppl take their time to explain what they do or let u try it for urself.
    - MUHAHAHHA ust need to kill this minboss solo 3000xxxxx times and ill be much faster at getting high lvl, than that normal grinding noob over there. Yeah sadly they often don't know their limits and get even higher lvls in a squad totally wiped out

    Plz oh plz don't oracle other than what u happen to pick up. BUT i find oracling okay if u are rerolling a char that u have already played till the lvl u oracle it to =3, u had ur experience and maybe one of them was that u build it wrong ^^
