Demon vs. Sage

Okay I just started playing my assassin a bit more but I was wondering if anyone has gone sage or demon on their sin yet. I was just wondering what are the pros and cons are for both of them.

    mmm I don't believe there's anyone that's posted info on it yet aside from just what Demon and Sage spark naturally give to mele classes.

    Killermate might know but I believe he is waiting for the skills to actually show up as they are non existent in the game at this point.


    Sage Spark - 25% def gain for x seconds, and some dmg inc which i don't recall

    Demon Spark - %? atk rate increase, dmg

    both have a purify and give 20% hp back

    Only advantage on going sage/demon at the moment is more Chi storage. Helps you chain
    stuff like double spark+power dash+subsea strike.

    This is just 1 of the few combos i use. If you are playing the class and were not part of the first wave of ppl that wanted to hit high levels to "explore" how much things were released to the new classes, i'd recommend to wait.

    Take your time and gather up as much coins/gold as you can meanwhile. That way you can actually have access to things once they get released.


    The other pro side of doing high level cultivations (lvl 99~100) is that you lose less exp when you die to mobs. :P But that's about it. Not like exp matters that much after 3 digit level.

    Not much can be said yet about Sage/Demon. There is the different chi skills but for all classes so far even the Demon/Sage Sparks have been different. Not to mention you can almost predict nothing about the Sage version of all the other skills. Generally in other classes Sage worked on defense and raw damage and chi. While Demon worked on attack rate, critical rate. But so little is known to be able to say anything.

    I have been talking to a lot of people on my server who know lvl 89 and ups for the Tideborns all together and they still have not been able to get their skills yet. That is seriously a major problem that needs to be fixed.

    What I hear from high level Sins is PW has yet to add demon and sage for us. Im sad faced.

    You can complete the cultivation for Demon or Sage. Just you are unable to even get the Chi skills let alone Sage/Demon Sparks and the Sage version of skills.

    well most people are goin demon right now because of the increase in attack speed and watnot but personally if i hit 89 before the skills come out becaus eu never know the sage version of the skills might pwn the demon versions
    is it jus me or does every thread turn into a flame thread at some point? wheres the love?? b:cry

    Okay, So heres some clarification.

    3 Sparks do not exist for new classes even if you obtain your fairy.
    Another thing is there are possibilities they alter the 3 sparks to not be the same as the original. For example Hell spark for a venomancer is the MELEE 3 spark with the increased ATTACK speed instead of channeling. They may do something similar to nerf the atk speed of an assassin. Another thing is I prefer heaven spark because I use chill of the deep and that decreases my attack speed by 100% so there really is no point to an attack speed spark.

    on another note: China server still haven't even released any sage/demon or 79/100 skills yet. They're sitll in balance/development.

    Wait 7 more days and you'll have answers to your questions flooding in on forum. Till then, be patient, do some lvling, build up funds, get your apoc pages/ink ready and add some new stuff to your gear.

    I'm going to go Sage. Balance is an important factor to me, and I love (and hope for) the rumor about Sage getting unlimited sprinting (becoming true).



    I can't wait to see the actual stats/descriptions of the skills when they are released. I've got much leveling to do, so I'll have more than enough time to know what my downsides are for my sin. :)
