squares and not letters

Hello guys.
I have problem. Some letters are shown as squares and some aren't.
I read the FAQ and the instructions about the language pack and everything. I have searched the forums for this problem and it was said I have to install the East Asian Language Pack.
I didn't install the pack from the Windows CD but the simplified Chinese pack from the FAQ thread - or at least I hope I did so oO
Well, as you can guess the squares stayed squares ^^

I guess I'm a total moron and did something wrong XD But maybe you guys can think of an answer.

    Did you restart your system?

    Did you run Verify on the game launcher screen?
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    I did restart the system more than once, but I never verified the files.
    I'll try to do so. Thank you!

    If it doesn't work, I'll post again.

    ooookay. I verified the files now and it didn't work. I don't know what to do. Any other suggestions >: ?

    Can you post a screenshot of the error you are getting?
    Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

    i am sad that you all cannot figure out that that is the My-En version of the game....how do i know? look at the names in the ah...

    I'm a bit confused now. Do I have the wrong version? And if so: what can I do about the squares? Where can I ask how to fix it?

    On the site for the game you downloaded. We can't link to that, forum rules. It's probably better if you download the game client from this site instead though.

    The international version (that we are all playing) can be downloaded here: http://pwi.perfectworld.com/download I'd suggest removing the version you currently have installed and downloading that one should you want to play on these servers. You might want to try the boards the version that you have for help if you wish to continue playing that version (google it).

    And yes, you lose your characters if you download the version available here, as they're essentially different games.
