This game needs keys for seeing npcs/players/monsters names so you can scan around (ctrl/alt), targeting closest monster (c), attacking (space), picking up nearest loot (;). Also the ability to change these buttons to whatever we want, including changing the movement keys to the arrow buttons. It's too slow to point and click on everything.

This game needs keys for seeing npcs Shift+click where the NPC should be /players How would you choose what player when there are several on the same zone? /monsters names From settings (letter U, on the default shortcuts) max the distance on the first and second tab, you will see the monster names above their heads so you can scan around (ctrl/alt), targeting closest monster You can already do this with the "TAB" key (c), attacking Use your shortcut bars to select what attack you want to use when the monster is selected (space), picking up nearest loot You can set any key to it, from the shortcut bar(Letter "E", to get the action menu) (;). Also the ability to change these buttons to whatever we want You can already, ask for information about key bindings , including changing the movement keys to the arrow buttons. It's too slow to point and click on everything Use "W", "S", "A" and "D" for that .

    There.

More hotkeys O.O....how many times did it happen that you try to type and suddenly you see like 10 pop up boxes appear just cuz you weren't actually typing but pushing the hotkeys :p

    1. You can already see NPCs nearby via the Coordinate Assistant. Seeing players nearby can be done via the squad menu. Seeing monsters nearby can be done with the Tabulator.

    2. Targeting closest monster is done by pressing the Tabulator

    3. There is already a button for attacking, you just need a target, which can be acquired by assist attacking a squad member and attacking or using the target closest monster button, all of which have hotkeys already.

    4. We already have a hotkey menu.

    5. You can change the movement keys via the Hotkey Menu.

So all that you asked already exists in the game in one form or another.

yeah but do you know how annoying it is do type / press letter binds? If they allowed us to bind our gaming mice keys there would never be an issue.

You could just bind those keys with the software of the mice. Though I suppose that counts as an exploit and could be bannable.

And if you look at it, the OP did not even mention a mouse.

Imo they should just bind alt, ctrl and shift to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rows of hotbars, and allow pet commands to be dragged onto the hotbars as well. Shouldn't be too hard.

"Gaming mouse". The ones with buttons on the sides that can be specifically set to hotkeys if the game supports them.

What we need is the ability to assign skills and items to ANY key, not just the 1-9 F1-F8 keys

Click on the sky, in the direction you want to follow, it will run as far as it can get without being killed, stomping a tree or reaching a wall

Context was "our gaming...", which is a plural, therefore mice.
Eehm, how would you want to use the 2 mouse buttons you have as hotkeys for an entire game, when they are already being used for some pritty vital things

As was already pointed out, there are mice out there with multiple buttons. Mine has 2 side buttons, for example, but The Razer Nage has 12 side buttons.

Oh, but that's cheap. Meet Logitech G9x, the 99.99$ Gaming Mouse. And of course Microsoft's SideWinder X8, at a recommended price of 99.95$! Of course, there is also the much-debated Razer Mamba at 129.99$. Or the SteelSeries World of ******** MMORPG Mouse, at 89.99$.

And don't even get me started on the keyboards, they usually start from about 70$ and go up to about 150$ for regular "Gaming" stuff and up to the 2400$ Optimus Maximus.

Though yes, the actually good mice don't tend to cost that much.

Yea, I think I'll just stick with my trusty laser mouse with 2 buttons and a scrol wheel. I once tryed a mouse with side buttons at a friend. Kept acedently clicking them, doing something I didnt'want to do b:surrender
