help for noobs

so i have been playing for a few days now and i have run into a small problem. i have a couple quests where i have to find certain items and bring them to someone. the problem is they dont tell me where to get these items or what to get them from. it would be nice if there was a way to find out how i get these items, whether they are drops from enemies or things i have to dig for. i cannot stress how much this would help me. wandering around aimlessly hoping i find one of these things by luck is pretty boring. other than that this game is aces!

    Usually if you read the quest dialogue (what the quest dispatcher and awarder tell you), you'll have a general idea of where to find the items/mobs.

    Alternatively, you could also use Ence's guids under the quest/tips section to find the coordinates for your item.

    i did that but google lies. they sayyou can get them from Lycean Hunters (474 654). i spent like 2 hours killing these things and no drops? am i just the most unlucky guy ever or is this info incorrect?

    idk i guess i can just chalk this up to inexperience but i have read the quest dialogue very thuroughly and couldnt find anything. i havent checked Ence's guides. that could help alot. i sure hope so
