Double rotating cog of fate per day ?

I just want to know if it's possible to do this.

When you hit room 50 you choose the broken cog or reward pack. The reward pack can be taken once per 24 hours, but I did not find info on the broken cog. Also let's remind the broken cog lasts 1 hour.

When you hit room 60, you can repair the cog, then get a 30 minute timer before which you cannot repair another one.

So, can you do the cube of fate up to room 50, get the broken cog, teleport out to room 1. After that you do cube of fate room 1-50 again, get a 2nd broken cog and complete the advanced cube of fate. If you do it fast enought (2nd cube run under 30 minutes), technically you could change both your broken cog to rotating cogs.

Let me know if there's any flaws, or if there's another faster way to farm the rotating cogs.

    I would've, but I honestly do not know. Gonna hazard a guess and say no though. Probably doable with a COF letter.

    After thinking about it further, the question is this. "Can you pick the Disabled Cog of Fate" quest in room 50 more than once per 24 hours ?

    Try to find it. I'm interested also about it.
    But there is very bad room Room 58: You can finish there easily.

    You can always have a friend help you farm. Pay his/hers cube costs mirage/do-all cards and let him keep the chips/pages/boxes he gets from getting between room 1-60 and you get the cog.

    Loads people farm cogs like that, with help from others, or paying others (what ever you like to call it).

    Or if you have more than 1 account to use to farm cogs. Really dont need that high lvl chars if you have do-all cards. Pretty sure you have some 60-80+ alt you can use.

    You can definitely get more than 1 cog repaired in room 60 per day if you use the COF letter to start another run after the normal daily run. I have done it a few times. Just like you described in the OP, you finish to room 50... get a disabled cog... come out... use COF letter to start another run... get another disabled cog in room 50... go on to finish to room 60... turn in the first cog... wait 20 or 30 min... turn in the second cog. One best luck token = 3 COF letter, so not that cheap to do.

    But I you don't do second cube run in 30 min will you lost first disabled cog?

    I'm not sure which of the cog will be turned in first, but your 2nd disabled cog should have at least 30min left to it's timer or you will lose it.

    Also Gyonax, with the COF letter you don't even have to use my way as far as I know. Can't you just do the normal 1-60 run, get your rotating cog, then use the COF letter to start a 2nd run ? This way you wouldn't have a time limit on your 2nd run.

    I'm not so sure how the COF letter works to be honest. Do you have to use it in the Room 1 to get a puzzle cube and be able to do another run or you use it in Room 50 so you're allowed to pick a 2nd reward for that day ?

    So the first time when you get to room 50 and get either disabled cog or the reward, it teles you right away to the next room where you can choose to go to room 1 or continue to room 60. You don't get a puzzle cube at this point, so even if you self-tele out to room 1, you won't be able to do another run. Only way to do another run would be to use the COF letter when you are back in room 1, where you would talk to the director and get another puzzle cube to start another run.

    So basically you do 1-50, get the disable cog, come out, use letter and get another cog and continue to 60. This way you only need to do 51-60 once, but just need to wait in room 60 for 30 mins after turning in the cog from the first run.

    It is possible to get the cube of fate from room 1 of Cube, and leave your character there until new server day. At which point you can go through with that cube (be careful not to choose the quest for getting cube of fate, or you will lose the old one to gain the new one). This will allow you to get 2 runs through the cube; however, you can't gain a reward twice in one day without CoF anyways. Tried it before when I stopped in Room XX of cube, finished it, went through right after, made end room, quest finish did not appear. CoF were also available without Best Token as a very rare drop while grinding. As an idea, my demon cleric grinded with only cube, CS, and WQ dailies and only had it drop twice from all the killing. Haven't had it drop at all on my BM.

    Gotcha. I remember now that even if you have stacked Duty Badges you can't get a second Puzzle Cube.

    Why are people getting the cogs? I don't get why people are going through so much trouble for it. Is it only tradable for a single necklace? :/

    Because it's among the best necklace in the game ? Unless you consider the G15 and G16 version, but I'm not gonna farm 9 of these to get it haha.
