"Could not launch game"

When I try to start the game it says "could not launch game"

    Try pressing the Verify button on the launcher.

    Make sure that your antivirus isn't flagging the game's executables as false positives and deleting them.

    Oh I think it might have deleted elementclient.exe, is there somewhere to get it back? x

    Yes, characters are saved on our servers, so reinstalling won't delete them.

    This is how i fix; can not launch game, on windows XP system with Norton and Webroot secruity programs operating; with the lastest ver. of both.
    1 if you got webroot ,put it in gamer mode
    2 put webroot fire wall in; allow all traffic
    3 if you got norton; allow norton to controll fire wall
    4 in norton go to;computer setting;turn off SONAR Advanced protection,hit apply for 5 hrs or howerver long you plan on playing
    5 in norton go to; Intrusion Prevention and turn off,hit apply for 5 hrs or whatever
    6 in norton go to; Smart Firewall make sure it is turned on, it should be already on
    7 in norton go to; Miscellaneous settings and turn on Slient Mode Setting for 6 hrs or whatever
    8hit last ok at bottom of page
    9hit Minimize buton on both webroot and or norton
    10click on pwi icon and start window comes up
    11hit verify button and wait for it to do file checking, which will be done faster now if all above is done correctly
    12should now say click to launch game; click on start button
    13 should launch okin to game
    14 WARNING THIS DOES LEAVE COMPUTER WITH LESS SECRUITY but it has never caused me problems
    15 run secruity programes often, atfer each night of playing
    16 buy a program called windows washer by webroot and use it every time, before you log off
    17 turn off modom or unplug cable from modom to line in at compter so as no connection to your computer,no one can talk to computer so less change to break in to computer and no virses can sent any info out while you are away from computer
    18 this works for me but i can not say if this will work for you
