I downloaded Perfect World because of it's beautiful art and it's complex character creation process but..

Before I start getting serious into this game, I want to know if this game is even for me

--
Some questions:..

-Is Perfect World just another leveling up game?
I'm not a fan of games like maple story where all you do is just level up all day pointlessly.

-Is Perfect World too dependent on level rather than skills in PvP?
I'm not a fan of games like WoW where level and items makes all the difference in PvP. I prefer a game that requires some skills when PvPing.

-And is there anything interesting that happens when you hit high level?

There does not seem to be too much interesting contents when I look at game content. Stuff like marriage is just weird and don't catch my eyes at all..

The only thing that catches my attention is territory war.

Is getting in a guild that does territory war hard?

Do you have to grind to a certain level just to do territory war?

Perfect World is not just a lvling game, there are various elements such as PvP, Dungeons, Battles, Territory Wars, manufacturing, guilds, and special events. Mobs also sometimes spawn with a special attribute on it, such as "Increased Life" or "Weak" and what not, this keeps grinding at least somewhat special.

Skills make a difference, but high lvls can and will just roll over you, and of course, those who are cash shoppers do tend to have an advantage.

As you level up, you gain access to various programs, events, and dungeons. You'll get Call to Duty quests (FBs), TTs, FCs, and much more. All of these are entertaining. Also as you lvl you gain access to a unique variety of weapons, armors, ornaments, and skills.

Depending on what level you are and what server you are on it can be hard to get into a good Territory War guild and even harder to found one. TWs are extremely challenging without a skilled group of high lvls. And no, you don't have to grind the whole way, you get quests and dungeons.

    Can't forget skils you learn.

And no, if you want a game purely based on skils, you need to play a shotter. Obviusly a lvl 100 is ganna 1shot a lvl 40 player, no mather how noob the lvl 100 player is and how pro the lvl 40 player

Though once you get to around the same lvls, you do need skil to kill your oponend. Using the right skils at the right time, ect.

I have read considerably the past couple of hours after downloading the game, made a few characters, but still nothing to tell me how log in and start playing the game. I thought the game was free to play, then later you can purchase zen? I am so baffled....please help!

I believe my screen resolution is to big, no clue how to make it *full* screen....any and alll help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Zen is used in the Cash Shop section. Its a totally optional thing, and is what allows PW Entertainment to keep this a free to play game. A few things in there are recommended once you reach higher levels, but you can buy those from other players. Also, if youve reached the place where you can create a character, just double click on whichever char you want to play. That will send you into the game world. Once youre ingame, hit the 'U' key, that brings up the system screen, and allows you to change graphics, sound, and who you have blacklisted (so you dont have see what they type in your chat screen). Hope this stuff helps, and Welcome to PWI!!!
