Starting DQ on high levels

I've been playing PW for some time now and until recently this Dragon Quest storyline has not come to my attention although I got a quite number of those valuable (and highly expensive, might add) artifacts throughout playing. I would just give to some catshop in Archosaur.

But now, I've decided to enter this questline. You all know the drill so I'll jump right to problem. Since I am so high level, most of Chiu Niu (level 20) items don't show up no matter how hard I try to kill monsters and pick up the drops. Except restarting with new charater (which is a little dumm) and buying materials at catshops, is there any other way.

    I killed a few 20ish things and they dropped DQ items, so you just have to be a little patient.

    And you only need a small number at that level right? Like 5 DQ items or whatever?

    DQ isn't really worth it imo, but some people do it.

    Step 1. Grind on mobs at or higher then your level.
    Step 2. Sell teh gotten DQ mats to an NPC.
    Step 3. Buy teh lower level DQ mats from lowbie cat shops.
    ???
    Profit.
