Rummors about new pvp server

I heard some rumors about new pvp server and wondering if this is true?? I dont think that on hl is so much pvp so that new server should be oppened but after all all players love new servers...

    If/when a new class is released, they'll probably release a new server, just like Raging Tides.
    Till then, expect to see the same servers.

    Couldn't be put plainer, the current PvP servers aren't full so there is no need to invest the time or money of making a new one.


    I heard a rumour anni packs where being released again next week with a -90% sale price, making them 10 silver, anyone else looking forward to this?

    The rules in place on the present PVP servers do not encourage PVP play. In fact they do everything to discourage it.

    So the idea that they are suddenly going to open up a new PVP server seems like a non-starter to me.

    There isn't going to be a new server, at least for a long time.

    To make a new server you have to have a ton of money obviously. But that isn't the only issue. Why spend thousands of dollars for a new server when other servers are maxed out (if thats possible) or full?

    Besides, Raging Tide has been around since only mid-December, there is definitely not going to be a new server, at least until summer but even then I highly doubt it really. b:surrender

    Everyone likes to invent this rumor because they think it'll give them a chance to be top dog on the new PvP server.

    Then what happened to Harshlands happens. Immediately some cash shop over investors and/or people with no life climb to 90+ in 2 weeks. Noone else has a chance to compete. Everyone who had a hope now feels that hope die. They go back to their old servers. Harshlands isnt anywhere close to capacity, why would they open another PvP server? Giving 20 ppl a chance to be the new alpha male isnt a reason.

    Oh and /inb4lock.

    Sorry i believe you're confusing HL with RT. HL didnt have 9x untill like 2 months in, RT had 9x in 2 weeks cuz of cash shop ;p

    Actually that's correct... it took HL a while because you mostly had to earn your levels with questing and grinding when that server came out.

    The only thing that speeded up harshlands progression at the start of the server were the jolly jone oracle event. But for a good two weeks before that event it was all quest and grind, pretty fun for my archer before I quit him.

    idk what pvp server you been on, but Lost City is PACKED

    Yeah, same... rolled an archer there on day 1. Got to 72, but haven't logged in for ages.

    Actually now with hyperXP, I might have to go back to visit... but last I remembered it was pretty desolate compared to LC.

    If there was a new server it would most likely b pve cuz not alot of players seem to enjoy pvp in pwi and pve servers grow at a faster rate then pvp ones. With how easy lvling is players can always reroll in one of the pvp servers cuz seriously doubt there will b a pvp server anytime soon.

    New servers are opened on an as-needed basis. At this time I doubt a new one is necessary, since RT recently opened up. You never know though.
