    The name Raiana was created when I was bored in the 9th grade, I combined the names Rai and Anna. The name stuck with me afterwords and I use it when I feel like playing a female character and need to name her.

    Wow, I wrote that in like what, August? So this is my second post here!

    Anyways, thinking now being more mature than my old "oh-my-gosh-i-am-almost-an-8th-grader" to the new "getting-closer-to-graduating-almost-a-freshman!," here are my thoughts of why I chose my name with more depth since I was reading this thread and saw a ton of nice responses!

    When I first started Perfect World, I tried a ton of names that were just like, what I thought were gamer like since after all, it was my first game ever online. However, the names just didn't really work with me. It wasn't me, the names I had chosen.

    So I went through an entire stage of trying new names, deleting characters, etc. But then I finally made BeingHope because it represents myself because it has my name, and I represent many groups and things. So yeah... My more "smarter" response to this thread b:chuckle

    Chose teh_fishey when I was playing on HT and saw an 8x BM come running through with the same name (or a name similar to mine). Not sure if he still plays.

    The game is based heavily on Chinese lore, so I thought a Chinese name would be appropriate. I also wanted something that was close in meaning to my real name. "Shi" would stand for "stone"(no, my last name is not "Stone" but it is close in meaning). My first name, Jessica, is, as far as I can tell, derived from the Hebrew "Iscah." The root meaning is apparantly "clairvoyant." So I just looked up the Chinese translation on Wikitionary. I have no idea if people in China commonly use those characters for names, but this is a fantasy MMORPG, so who cares? b:laugh

    well my normal online name is 2skiled4u (me ego tripping idk why) but as PW wouldnt let it i took my first name the first letter of my middle name and my last name and squashed it all together

    Hmm i might as well give origin to my account username and my PW main accounts name

    Mystykk - I was trying out some things....all with no sucess, i wanted somethin simple and when this worked i just went with it. Yay :D

    Hugamari - I made this name a while back, when i was like...12 or something. What i did was took 2...."Asain" (dont want to offend any languages) sounding words....One was Hugo, the other....im not sure, my best guess is Temari (Yah the girl with the huge fan and the crazy hair) and got Hugamari. I now use Hugamari for practically everything. :P

    I use this name on all servers, simply because it describes me best as a gamer aswell as me personally. This way when I meet new friends they have a real chance of getting to know the real me. As a bonus playing several MMOs, is that I have met a few real interesting and colourful ppl that has become personal friends in addition to my real life friends. Me beeing openly christian in games, yet respectful towards those that have other ways to play games and view gaming life, have increased the fun I have playing MMOs. The only way to do this successfully is to always respect the rules of the game as well as your fellow gamers.

    When I think of Elves, I think of the fae and other mystical Celtic stuff, so I gave my Elf a Celtic game.

    This name, Ceallach means "bright-headed" in Gaelic, which I thought was appropriate for a Cleric.

    As for my other characters:
    Rotter, Barbarian -- It just sounded intense, like something you'd name a bulldog, haha.
    Siboea, Assassin -- Siboea is a traditional Atlantean name. I just thought it was pretty. Dunno what it means.
