demon and sage

i cant find anything that really exlains these wht are they? what do they do? can only specfic races become these? do they get new skills or enhance old skills?b:thanks

    At level 89 you can go either sage or demon, for every class. After you choose your path, you can buy level 11 skills, which are the same skills you already have, except with an extra effect. For example, Sage Ironheart Blessing for Clerics has the extra effect of 10% more power in the heal, while Demon Ironheart Blessing has a 300 MP heal. Every skill that doesn't just have one level can be upgraded with skill books that you buy.

    whats the diffrence between them though? like visual effects?

    The differences are what bonuses you get with the skills. They both look the same though (except sage and demon spark I think look different).

    So like Aadi said, if you went demon as a cleric when you got lvl 11 Ironheart Blessing it heals an additional 300 MP.
    If you went sage as a cleric, when you got lvl 11 Ironheart Blessing it heals an additional 10%.

    So, for all classes, once you choose sage or deamon, the skills you get after that are affected in different ways.

    Make note that tideborn sage/demon skills aren't implemented yet, so if you got to lvl 89 on an sin or psy you won't get the cultivation for sage/demon yet.

    ok so anyrace besides tideborn can chose between sage and demon? whts demon spark?( just a visual effect?)

    Spark eruption is a skill which gives you temporary invulnerability, a huge attack boost and (various benefit depending upon how many sparks you eat - heal a little, recover a little mana, whatever)

    The demon version looks different (it has a huge red effect rather than a white one) and gives an INSANE attack boost.

    Exact benefits of sparks depend upon what class you are.

    Tideborn will, presumably, get demon/sage eventually. Those fishes just aint fully baked yet.

    Typically - demons get higher attacks, whilst sages get better defences. That's a HUGE generalisation though.

    No, you simply can't put it that simple. But you'll find out by the time you're lvl 80+ or so, you better not worry about it before that as you can't understand what and how it works exectly before that

    Basic rule of thumb for sage/demon skills: Demon gives better crits/spike damage, Sage gives more consistant damage/improved defenses.

    spike damaga? ok let me make it simpler i'm gonna go BM just started and i like to plan ahead, pros and cons with demon and sage with a BM?

    Don't plan this ahead if you start, unles you already know how BM works (this having it played to late mid game)

    Sage/demon just increases some points of your game play, depending on which points you want to increase you choise your path.
    Because of this, you can't go purely on a few skil discriptions.

    For example, me:
    I use alot of chi, ulti's, sparks. Sage wizzy exels in the use of killing via chi, and having alot of chi. I find sage being the best for me.

    You actually can't just ask, what must I pick?
    You have to play your class, and depending on how you play it you need to choise sage/demon.

    Just play, don't bother with it to much, eventually you'll understand how each skil works, what sage/demon does to that skil, and what would be good for you
