Powders are your friend. If I don't use powders, depending on whether or not the sleep is successful on the mob, I'll go down to about half HP per mob. Instead I get 15 nectar, 10 golden herb, and make myself life powders that heal 50 HP per second. They do wonders.

Three things to remember. First, as was already said, use life powders. They are one of the best things you can do. Second, get a genie (preferably Infliction as it has 15 STR to start) and get the skill Second Wind for it. Third, get yourself a bow. Most of the time, you can get a mob's health down to at least 2/3, saving yourself a lot of money on pots and repairs, not to mention you will die less.

It will prove useful to also read ArkToNE's guide, located here.

A downside to the bow is that mobs start to get magic attacks. If you start out on a mob at range, the mob will just come to its max range and blast spells at you. However, if you enter in with daggers (Windpush could be a nice friend right here) and start attacking immediately, the mob may end up without a chance to start to channel, and you will have more damage quicker. If you use the bow and let the mob start to cast at you before you pull out your daggers, you will have to cross that distance with the mob attacking, whereas if you approach with daggers, the mob won't realize you are there and won't attack until you are already on them. Heh, unless the mob just has an insane aggro range. Just avoid bringing attention to yourself until you can start to dish out the real damage.

Hope I explained everything where you could understand, lol.

Yeah, I know, I'm sorry for the wall of text.

Well bow is only useful when you are either attacking a mob that does not use any ranged/magic attacks, when you are pulling a mob out of a group of mobs that have distance aggro and not group aggro, or when you are fighting a boss with AOE that deals damage based on distance, such as General Feng. While I did not make this clear I suppose, I assumed these would be the obvious times to use it. Besides, even on those that do use magic/rage attacks, if they are a Sacrificial Assault, using a spark can easily kill the mob before it even has time to cast the spell or hit you with a ranged attack.

Also, on mobs that do use magic, using regular attacks to start is a waste of time if you plan to cancel. Deep Sting is far more likely to cancel their attack than any other skill or normal attack when it comes to assassins.

With this, I was referring to when a Hybrid mob will go straight to melee if you enter fast enough. And I never said use regular attacks to start, though that is a viable option.

Sorry, my mistake. I must have read your post wrong.

if your using powders a bow is unneeded. you Regen so fast that hp becomes a non issue. same for focus powders and skill spamming style.

When you are pulling mobs out of groups who all aggro, or when you are going up against a Sacrificial Assault, a bow is far more useful than anything else, including dagger throw. Besides, I can vouch for this and say that when you do non-stop grinding, no breaks between mobs to regenerate HP, using a bow gives you a little more time to get HP before the mob even reaches you, which enables you to grind like this without using any pots, or even Second Wind. And Focus Powder does not work well for skill spammers, as our MP regen rate in combat is 12.5/second, and our skills at your level and mine are over 100 each time. Spark spamming is a far better alternative, and less costly all around.
