What do you do for fun?

So, my girlfriend and I started leveling and we recently hit level 50 and decided to take a break from leveling; we are bored of the constant grinding and questing.

But, now we don't know what to do.

PvP at level 50 is very limited due to the higher levels dominating every zone.

So what do you and your friends do for fun?

What keeps you playing this game?

Thanks, Artoriul.

Personally, if im bored i see how many times i can run round arc in 1 hour, my record is 2347. On a more serious note a good faction provides entertainment, if i cant be bothered to do anything i just talk and that about it.

Once you become a higher level the game becomes so much more fun.

    TT - 60+
    FF - 80ish+
    Luna - 87ish (First quests)

At the lower levels there really isn't much to do at all.

To OP: At level 50 there's not much else to do other than grind and quest (and do BH, of course). You can still PK at level 50 (I've been PKing since level 30 b:sin) and even though you'll definitely get stomped on by higher levels a few times it's not so bad (unless you're on a PvE server, then it gets difficult to find targets).

Get some chatty friends. I always find that they liven the game up.

Also I enjoy joining random BH squads. They're always fun. :)

Other than that take a break and go out for coffee with some RL friends. Or tea if you don't drink coffee. :P Or you can make an alt, although I usually find that boring. It's like: I've already done this quest!

Do things people your level should NOT be doing. Even if you die over and over, you'll have more fun attempting that than following the high levels around on any given FB.

Believe it or not...I farm mats and herbs, haha. Mats for Ultimate Substances and to sell, herbs to make my orbs and whatnot. It's really soothing for me.

    I also grind for money.

Or I ask my soon-to-be hubby what he wants to do, and we'll go do something random.

If I get bored I switch characters and play a different class for a while. It helps break up the grind.

When I get bored of even that, I play something else or go surfing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing or hiking.

Here are the list of things I do for fun.

    1. PvP - Everyone loves PvP, sometimes it gets so intense that I can feel my blood rushing and heart pumping.

    2. Grinding - Most players consider this a chore, but if your a axe bm thats made to aoe grinding is hell lot of fun, gathering 10+ mobs and obliterating them without a cleric is pure gold.

    3. Merchanting - Another thing that I like to do, if you know how PW economy works you will find some amusement buying and selling stuff, most of my money that I currently have is from merchanting, made over 10m+ just by buying and selling items.

    4. Start Drama - I can't resist.b:chuckle

i know im weird, but in many ways the lower levels are more fun. things are more relaxed, you level faster, mobs are easier to handle, with fewer numbers per quest. the higher you get, the more of a drag it gets. leveling is murder, and you dont dare leave home without GAs and a res scroll, or risk losing tons of ground you sweated to gain. i have a number of lower level alts, of different classes, that i play when things get stressful with my veno. or, i just say the hell with working on anything, and travel around, taking screen shots, building collections to make music vids with.

Personally, if im bored i see how many times i can run round arc in 1 hour, my record is 2347. On a more serious note a good faction provides entertainment, if i cant be bothered to do anything i just talk and that about it.

I'm a bit of a completionist. I'll keep playing a game long after I've gone through the plot multiple times, striving for that save/character that is either globally perfect or perfect in its own limited set of rules.

In PWI, I started out with a friend of mine having a good 85 levels advantage of me, so that's been a long term goal and I'm finally getting close, with me on 86 and her on 92.

Though, I foresee myself getting to 90 or 92 and merchanting from there until I get bored of that, then just randomly helping people.

Oh, and hopping on the roofs is also amusing.

Also, I've recently been thinking about making an alt of the same race and subcategory (Elf Archer in my case) and using my main to fund the levels of said alt until a point of boredom.
If you disregard what I say because of who I am or because of the contents of what I said, you are a fool.

Everyone wants to be different, but when you're different you wish you were normal.

When I get bored, I work on my crafting skills. Or I go to some place where lower levels have problems and help them. Or I just play tourist - flying to some point of the map where I haven't been so far, with graphics on high quality, marveling at the landscape and at mobs 50 levels higher than me.

The 50s pass quickly. Lots of lubberly quests, the most enjoyable bounties to hunt - it's lubberly.

But if you are stuck - yes, try twilight temple. You'll need at least one 60+ to open the doors for you (and a squad of 4) - and they'll need to be friends because most people won't take lower levels in. But its perfectly possible to do well in there in your 50s.

You might also like to try the cube of fate, although that's a solo activity.

Out n the world map is more of a problem - stretching yourself and killing above your level puts you in the swamp, which is not a fun place to visit and is generally massively overcrowded. Skipping above that puts you around dreamweaver - which is better but might be too far out of your level. Give it a go though!

Or how about learning to zhenn? AOE grinding... oh! There's all those shrunchkin just north of Krimison near kings feast. Those are low 50, you should be able to do well there - and it's fun to learn. They act differently from just about any mob you've previously met.

With a lvl 66 Wizzie alt, I found that I mostly like to tag along with my guildies and just do whatever the hell it is they're doing XD

I mean, I know that my dmg doesn't compare to theirs at the time, but it is sure fun trying to live in those lvl 80+ instances with my squishy behind. And when I do live? Oh, man. Accomplishment.

Just hang out with your guild, your friends. They help make the game what it is. Hell, I can get a group of my friends and just go RQ[Public Quest], while we talk about everything[and I mean everything]. Or we even gather in Hidden Orchid and just have fireworks and a duel party, the entire guild as well. Some people are in it to solo, but trust me, if you're alone in the game all the time, you won't gain what other people have. The actual experience of an MMO.

If I get bored which I tend to do a lot I may go kill some monsters, or just run around the map taking random screen pics then deleing them, some times i'll go annoy the people on my friends list, then if im still bored i'll run around arch a few times till I get bored then I log off and find something else to do.

All in all when I get bored I just run around to amuse my self then when im bored of that I go find something else to do thats not related to the game.
    Thanks for the siggy Dorset

    Things I do for fun:
    1. Buy a set of noob gear and run around in mid level areas screaming for help with bosses like krixxy and farng or even stormy.
    2. Run Fb19 and Fb29 with no armor on...this one is a blast.
3.Do World Shouts for silly stuff like " LF Cleric,Wizzy for zen party @ Jaden Quingfu's"
    4. Jump on my cleric go to a starter village and gather as many aggro and non-aggro mobs as I can with her then run around with em following me.
    5. Get on one of my many lvl 30 toons an go to secret passage and pk high lvl peoples.
    6. Make an alt toon that has a completely different build than normal. For example a heavy armor sword carrying wizard, or an archer who wears arcane armor and uses a bow, stuff like that. Most of em are lucky to get to do their fb19 then they get deleted some made it as far as fb29.
    7. Then theres the usual stuff like testing dueling techniques on friends running solo TTs helping people out with BHs quests etc.

Its been said by my guild "there's never a dull moment when I'm around" I'm always getting into some sort of mischief b:chuckle

Im not the type of person who bothers is GAs if i die, then i die lol. Res Scrolls are the biggest waste of coin because they have such a damn long cool down i found this out in FF and just dropped all i bought there and then. I find FF and TT (Before 2x event) were fun for me as its a challenge normally depending on squad ofc.
